Had great service here for my '06 Volvo S40! After several years of paying for over-priced car repair at the Volvo dealership I moved from Boston to way out in the 'burbs... And stumbled upon Dalzell Brothers! I had my oil changed and was pleasantly surprised when I got my bill! It was a good $40 (at least) cheaper than paying for the same service at the dealership... And that's with full synthetic oil. I did inquire about getting my car detailed - because it is disgusting from all the snow and salt this winter - but they said they would have to send it out to be detailed. I was a little disappointed to hear that but hey, you can't have everything. The service guys here are very nice and haven't tried to sell me unnecessary service... I know what my car usually needs because my dad owns his own car repair shop, but unfortunately I don't live near it anymore. I have not bought a used car from Dalzell Brothers, so I cannot speak to the quality of their sales staff, but looking around the lot they do have some pretty nice looking Volvos. They do have a waiting area with a TV and free wi-fi... Yay! But they don't have free coffee like the dealership... But if that's what it takes to keep my costs low then that's fine with me! Definitely going back for regular car maintenance. read more

Was referred to Dalzell Brothers by a friend, and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. They're pricing is reasonable, service responsive and friendly and their expertise in dealing with problems specific to different Volvo models is impressive. On recommendation from a good friend we brought in our Volvo for service. We were shocked when the car was ready. No upsells, no one telling us to do things that really weren't necessary. Maybe because we were used to paying our dealer's bills in CA, but it seemed so reasonably priced too. Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant. LOML and I will not take our Volvo anywhere else....period. Robbie (service manager) has kept me on the road for 15 years (450,000 miles) with three used Volvo's. He will NEVER sell you parts or service you don't need. I travel 90 minutes to take my car there and pass two other Volvo repair facilities on the way. read more

Do not waste your time here and go to a normal real volvo dealership. Every time I've gone there I've received horrible service, and they always charge you ridiculous quotes. I had to bring my volvo xc90 there three different times (all within a week) because my new car battery kept dying and they claimed they "fixed" it, but then the next day it would die again. They made me pay these labor fees when NOTHING was getting resolved, along with the charges to get my car towed there each time. Don't waste your time and money here, period. read more

I am finally getting around to writing this long overdue review for Dalzell Brothers in Foxboro. We have had our 2006 Volvo XC 90 serviced there and Robbie has been so nice and helpful. I always felt that he was honest, knowledgeable and explained things very well. He definitely stands behind his work. Our last repair was a bit challenging to say the least, but Robbie and his staff were able to fix it and were very accommodating, as it took a bit longer to fix and Robbie wanted to make sure it was perfect before we picked it up. We have just bought our third Volvo from Dalzell "gently used" Volvos on Route 1 in Foxboro, MA. We spent a good part of a Saturday afternoon visiting a few of the "new" car dealers on Route 1 in Dedham and Norwood where their sales process can greatly reduce any enthusiasm you may have to purchase a car. How many people should it take to sell a new car? And how is "your great price" really determined? At Dazell the price on-line is the price on the lot. No games, no hidden charges. You deal with one person. And so once again we bought a "barely used" Volvo in record time at a great price and went home excited about our new car. Most of the business at this small dealership is repeat business and once you visit them you will understand why. I recently purchased a 2001 Lexus ES300 with low miles in overall great shape. I asked if everything was checked out and was told that the car goes through a safety check and everything checked out. However, when I took delivery of the car the rear driver's side door look did not work which was later fixed by them but I had to waste my time and bring the car back. Later after closer inspection of the car I discovered that it had been hit in the rear which to be fair was not shown on the Carfax which was provided to me but if it was inspected closely it is evident it was hit and repaired and I think should have been disclosed. I take responsibility that I should have notice beforehand but when I initially looked at the car it was raining heavily and this place has been around awhile selling high end Volvos so I figured they would not be selling a car that was hit without disclosing. I also discovered that approximately 2 inches of water in the wheel well where it had been hit which leads me to believe that there is a defect in the repair letting water in the trunk area which will eventually rust out the rear fender. Lastly, I inspected the cabin air filter and it was dirty and full of pine needles which I had to replace so obviously it was not checked. I wanted to make other aware of my experience and to make sure you whatever car you may be considering purchasing to have checked out thoroughly since they may cover the big stuff so that it passes inspection but otherwise in my opinion they do not do a detailed inspection of vehicles they sell. read more
