When I moved away from…read moreNewton, I was legitimately terrified of trying to find anywhere that was even half as goo as these guys. Sam and Scott are easily two of the most pleasant people I have ever interacted with. They're knowledgeable and truly want to help their clients - not screw them over financially. They'll tell you what's going on with your car and explain what your options are - explaining the purposes and reasoning. And unlike some garages, they'll tell you when work isn't necessary or when it can be put off - because they are good people. Last year, my car reached the end of its lifespan and it was time for a new one. I called up Sam, who goes to auctions often for their used car inventory, told him my budget and what I was hoping to find right down to the color (black cars mean better car cookies in the summer). He found one that matched the description perfectly, within the price window, and within a week I was trading in my old car and purchasing the car I have now, which I absolutely adore. They're professional, honest, hard working and they get to know each person. I cannot speak highly enough about these guys, but I can say for certain if you're looking for a place that will treat you like a person who matters (regardless of car knowledge) and provide exceptional service - look no further. OTG is here for you.

I appreciate that they've got all the records computerized and that I get a print-out w/ all the details plus mechanic's notes. Update 7 years later: still love this place. They always tell me what's going on and give me options rather than trying to hard-sell the more expensive thing. They even referred us to a Subaru specialist when there was a minor fuel line leak (reported by the computer) on our Subaru Forester that they couldn't isolate (and didn't charge us anything for the diagnosis). In comparison, the dealership simply told us that we needed to spend $1000+ to replace the whole fuel line.

Before I was yelled at, causing me to leave. The first time I was yelled at because I parked in front of the air pump... because I was there to put air in my tire. I then asked an employee if they could change my dollar bills for quarters, as the air machine only took quarters, at which point I was met with an eye roll, a laugh, and a "no." The second time was to get a state inspection. And the person pumping gas yelled at me for where I parked while I was waiting for someone to ask if they could help me. I told that employee that they lost my business for good and left. They are so incredibly rude, I don't know how anyone could do business with them. Would not recommend at all.

They started the repair and I suddenly remembered that the power steering line was what they fixed in August. I had the ~$200 charge on my cc, but I had lost the receipt. I mentioned this but also knew I couldn't hold them responsible without that receipt. The mechanic (the owner's son) said he could tell the damaged steering line was new + saw the ~$200 charge on my credit card statement. That was enough for them to repair it again for free. I also asked him to take a quick look and let me know how long I had let with this Jeep (it's given me a ton of trouble). While on the lift, they saw damage to my frame. It was tucked away and hard to see but he took the time to really look. He sent me photos and warned me about forthcoming issues, encouraging me to pursue a trade-in ASAP. When I came to get the car, the owner told me the same and gave me some advice on how to make sure I got a good price for the car. Long story short, I have a new car on the way and got a great trade-in value for the car. Every time I've come, I have gotten a really good price (based on research). In the past, I've gone to shops by myself and felt patronized -- they don't help me understand the issues and don't answer my questions. It's as if they don't think I need to know what's going on and should just pay and shut up. That didn't happen here. They saw that I wanted to understand how X problem is fixed, etc. and they explain it to me. They also don't assume I know nothing about cars just because I am a girl. Ladies, go here.
