I took my work trousers into the cleaners on a Thursday afternoon (10 pairs). I asked to have them laundered and pressed, as well as removal of one small marker stain. I was told it would be $9 extra for the "possible" stain removal, and that everything would be ready on Tuesday afternoon. I asked if Monday afternoon was possible, and was told yes. I was happy to hear, on Monday afternoon, that my trousers were cleaned and ready for pick-up. I arrived 30 minutes before closing and paid for my pants. I asked if the stain was removed, and was told that it was.....because there was no tag on the pants to indicate otherwise. Since everything was packed and tied together, I didn't want to unpack and check.....trusting them. The woman at the counter (both times) was nice and pleasant. However, when I got home and unpacked everything to put in my closet, I found that the pants looked like they hadn't been laundered......only pressed (maybe). There was lint all over all of the pants. But the biggest thing was that the wrinkles around the groin and upper legs, as well as near the pockets.....that trousers get from wearing them, were all still there on nearly all of the pants. They weren't subtly there, but fully there......so I highly doubt that they say water, nor an iron. They smell fresh, but that can be obtained from Febreeze or something similar. It does look like the marker stain was removed, as I can't find it on the beige pair of trousers.....and that pair is the one that looks pressed all over. Funny, right? Considering the order was $90+ and I'm not sure they were laundered/pressed, I can't give higher ratings. At a professional, experienced cleaner, they wouldn't give items back that were wrinkled, nor with lint. I have to say, I'm newly returned to the Berkshires from CA (where I had 10 years of perfect service at my dry cleaners) and am disappointed with the business offerings and quality. I went to Nifty because the Williamstown Royal Cleaners also provided poor service on dry cleaning my suit.

But as mentioned machines hardly ever work right and I do my best to remember to bring my own quarters. The one time I didn't set their machine was out 2 years ago they didn't have enough left in the store and I was forced in the snowy weather to go all the way to North street. Remember I don't have a car everyone else could drive somewhere else I had to walk to another location. Also as mentioned they are not good about wanting to give you your money back when the machines are not working right. They tried to tell me I was there the day before with the same broken machine trying to tell them the same thing. Number one I can barely afford to go one day a week to do my laundry in one load. Number two if I had not been at work and was there the day before for some apparent reason how would I know it wasn't working the day before even if you don't put it out of order sign on it. Unfortunately I probably will still use it for spring and summer because I like to get things done and hopefully be out of this hell somehow for winter when I have my own laundry.

The floors are filthy, trash everywhere and dirty. The machine was off balance and didn't properly spin the clothes. The machine never dispensed the detergent into the clothes. The seal that keeps clothes and water in the machine was torn, making the machine leak and it nearly ate 2 articles of my clothing. I had to wring the extra water out of my clothes out before I could put them in the dryer. I'm writing this while I wait for the dryer. Who only knows how that's going to go. I'll edit this post if that goes bad as well.
