New Star will be our last, God willing. Tim, the owner gave us one on one himself until he hired our new Property Manager, Sted Holton. Sted was on property every single day for months until he was satisfied we were on a good path. We were so lucky to have someone that cares, is responsive and knowledgeable. I have sold units in most of Concord's complexes over the years so I can compare. No company is as efficient as NS. Our financials as well as our property and our property values are in the best shape ever thanks to New Star.

It's 7/6/26 and our Association still doesn't have answers requested on our March and April financials. We still do not have our June financials. The employee turnover in the Finance Dept is high. I have even copied upper management and the president of the company on emails and have gotten NO RESPONSE! They ignore email communications when you complain. They go weeks and weeks without responding. Maintenance is another joke. We have had a request in since 4/20/26. I have emailed several times to follow up and still have gotten no response. Run away very fast from this company. They have proven over and over they simply don't care about you. Our board is completely disappointed in their performance and our trust and faith in this company could not be any lower. But of course, they take their money on the first of every month.

I got not notification of the offense, and they charged me $50 for the offense! I was a bit upset about that so I proceeded to take photos of the trash they had around the back of their unit and the bleep hit the fan and they've made my life miserable since. The previous property manager at the company sent me a nasty personal email, saying I was an old hag and should get a life and stop complaining! I asked a question over a year ago and still no response. I made an appointment to get a pool key and the process still took over an hour to get the key as they couldn't find the right association only to be given a key that didn't work. You pay a condo fee so you don't have to do things. The grass at our condos looks horrible, there is peeling paint everywhere and the condo fees go up every year! They never put anything out to bid and then say "they are the only ones" when there are companies to take care of things much closer. Keep looking if you are looking for a new condo management company.

I've not had the best dealings with them. I acknowledge that they exist to enforce association…read morerules and therefore, usually the only time you need to deal directly with them is if there is a problem. The general attitude I've encountered is less than helpful and more geared towards enforcement and punishment. I will say that new property rep is much better than the previous one that retired. The latter didn't like to return phone calls or answer emails, meanwhile she would be right on top of things when it came to issuing fines or calling to get your car towed.

If I could put them in the negative I would...they seem to forget that they work for property…read moreowners not the other way around...we had a fire in our unit set by our daughter's then boyfriend...he died in the fire which was his intent...all of a sudden we were homeless due heat detectors not working in in our unit and many other units and the fire alarms not hardwired to the fire department..I lived there 20 years and always had to call the fire department when the alarm went off..they never functioned properly...we needed to get in after the fire department said we were clear to go in to get a few things...my daughter was devastated beyond words...I put a call into Sharon who was the manager for our association for the code to the lock because we were at the house and had clearance from the board up company to get in...she immediately started giving me grief about it...we still owned that house but she didn't realize that we were in litigation with Bank of America (that is a whole other review)..she said to me "well why did you wait so long?" My daughter was sitting next to me and heard what Sharon said and immediately burst into tears...I got out of my truck and said how effing dare you it has been two days how ignorant are you my daughter is shattered and all you care about is how it affects you....I went on an utter tangent until she finally relented after I told her I had a lawyer that would be more than happy to explain how many laws the association had broken in the 20 years we lived there...the next call I got was Sharon apologizing but wondering when we were going to remove what personal belongings we had left because the house needed to be gutted..I said not while litigation is still pending here is my attorney's contact info...if you are an owner and your HOA is looking for a new management company STAY AWAY...if you are a renter looking at a unit that they manage STAY AWAY...I have first hand knowledge of how unprofessional and callous they are
