I drove a friend to this store twice. The same young woman took good care of us both times, I'm sorry I don't remember her name, however there was her and two men. She was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about the shoes in their inventory. We were after diabetic shoes and needed something nice looking, firm, soft and with plenty of support. She recommended several pairs and my friend purchased three pair and ordered two more pare of shoes since those particular ones were not available in her size. This store has a nice selection of shoes, diabetic, sport, casual and sporty sandals. I was also looking at some beautiful leather purses. We went back to pickup our order and the same woman was there and so were the shoes even though we didn't return for a few months! My friend purchased those two pair and another slip-on sneaker type shoe. I would highly recommend this store, the prices are good and they are the kind of quality shoes that will last a long time. I saw a nice pair of leather sandals and when I got home and checked the price on Amazon they were the same. So the prices are right on track. I should have purchased those sandals, in fact I may just drive down to Ormand Beach for lunch and stop on by and purchase those nice sandals. See ya soon read more

Hey you're better off buying any shoe you see online. I just bought a pair of Brooks on Wednesday, tried to return them the same week but they refused bc of dirt on the bottom of the shoe because I walked in them outside once. Small stores can't afford running shoes customers. read more

My 84 year old Mom needed new shoes. Thank goodness I found this business!!!! I was completely surprised that they offered full service! For you young folks that means a shoe salesperson comes over, measures your foot, finds what you are looking for, brings the shoes to you and puts them on your feet. This was the way things were many years ago. We didn't need to rifle through tons of boxes the way it is now. Our salesperson Kim was SO wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was extremely knowledgeable about shoes!! I didn't realize all there was to it. But since my mom has a zillion issues it really was a blessing this lady knew what she was doing! Getting shoes from Dales was a great experience with Matt. I am 68 and have been a "long walker" for years but recently, after even a short walk, I was getting severe discomfort in the hip/thigh musculature and feet. Matt advised me on a brand of athletic shoes as well as the over-the-counter orthotics for my particular foot issues. He is a licensed pedorthist (a healthcare professional specifically trained in comprehensive foot care using therapeutic footwear and supportive orthotic devices). With the new recommended shoes and orthotics, my previous discomfort has improved hugely. Once again, I have the joy of walking. This store is a terrific local resource for those who walk for fitness and fun. Dales also works with anyone who due to medical reasons needs special footwear, not to mention they work with professional and college athletes to optimize athletic support, performance, and longevity. Went to Dale's a few months ago for running shoes. I've bought a few pairs of running shoes, plus other stuff. I need a neutral running shoe. I had been wearing ASICS and they changed the design so I was prepared to try a different brand. It was evident the salesperson didn't know much of anything about athletic shoes. The owner came over to assist because I was looking for a neutral form and the salesperson was lost. I don't remember the exact amount I paid, but typically it's between 120-160. I started running in them and realized that they were not a neutral form. I was not postive, however today I went to Spikes with the shoes in hand and yes they are a stability shoe! My form and feet have been thrown off from several months of running in these shoes. This is how people get injuried!! Do yourself a favor and go to Spikes in Holly Hill if you need athletic shoes. It's disappointing because Dale's does carry well built shoes. Sadly, there is, I'm sure a Brookes he could have sold me that was a neutral run. I will never return here because the staff are inexperienced and apparently so is the store owner. :( read more

My husband and I stopped into Dales shoe store today because I've decided I'd like to invest in a solid pair of athletic shoes that are right for my feet. We walked into the store and while their selection was definitely assorted, it didn't make a lot of sense when it came to navigating shoes and sizes (to me at least). The real bummer from the entire visit is that we walked through the whole store passing at least three different sales reps (two of which were with customers but looked up) and none of them acknowledged us or even said "Hello". Both my husband and I have worked in retail/customer service positions and thought this was appalling. When you walk into a place prepared to spend $150 for a pair of shoes you expect better service. We will NOT be visiting this place again. Hopefully one of their competitors has better customer service. read more

I recently purchased two pairs of NB running shoes at Dales. When shopping at Dillards shoe department, I noticed the same shoes priced 10% lower ... a savings that would have totalled $25 ... a significant amount. When I called Dales and asked to speak to Russell, the owner, to explain the situation, he had a sales associate call me back. The sales associate explained that their prices are comparable and that Dillards would charge $8 extra for ordering the shoes because they don't have all sizes in stock. When I asked Dillards if this was the case, they said, no, not so, shoes would be delivered free of charge and that the sizes I bought from Dales were in stock. I am disappointed that Dales' owner, Russell, would rather lose a customer and good will and reputation over extending some kind consideration. read more

BEWARE!!! Although the salesperson will tell you that you can return shoes for full refund... it just isn't so!!! I was told I could wear the shoes for a couple of hours indoors... and still return them if they weren't satisfactory. Well... they hurt like heck and I tried to return them two days later. The sales woman told me I had left toe prints in the shoes!!! and that I had probably sweat???? (salesman didn't tell me to NOT sweat!) that or she said... I had dirty feet. OMG!! How embarrassing!!! So before you pay $100+ for a pair of shoes... think twice because they won't let you bring them back!!!! read more

Amazing service! My Doctor originally recommended dales when I was having problems with my feet. I spoke with Matthew who is one of the certified personnel there. Needless to say the man was amazing! He spent over a hour with me explaining and recommending certain things based on my problem. Seriously, where else can you go and get that good of service?? I've bought things from other stores and online for years with no help. One visit to dales and I'm practically pain free. It's totally worth paying a little extra for a good pair of shoes if it truly helps. The prices of the shoes were marked fair. I did some shopping around after I left and was surprised to see that I found the exact same pair of shoes online for only $10 bucks cheaper. Wow.. big deal! For the service and advice I received I could care less about $10 dollars. I'm a customer for life. read more
