Found both RSD titles I was after!

Found Dale's on the Record Store Day website. Only 2 minutes from my house. Took a chance and went over there, and BOOM they had both the RSD titles I wanted. Can't believe I waited this long to stop in and browse. Had a nice chat about jazz with Sean (or Shawn), who was very helpful, and I made a friend. Cool shop. Cool people. I'll be back for sure.

Good vibe had some pretty amazing records on the wall. Dale seems like a good dude and I would love to hear some stories of the artist that cut their teeth near Joshua Tree NP area.

Dale (left) has rare hard to find items like this Caballero.

The best of both worlds: skateboards and vinyl records. Dale really makes you feel welcome when entering his shop. I won't shop anywhere else. Anthony A

    Dale's Records and Skate Shop.

My 14 year old son took me to Dale's Records and Skate Shop yesterday for the first time. My son wanted to buy some records and insisted that we go there. As soon as I walked in, I felt like taking a step back in time. We were greeted by Dale and a local artist who was there. The place is well organized. It will instantly bring you memories from the 80s and 90s. Of course, that will depend on what you listened to back in the day. Dale helped my kid find exactly what he was looking for. In fact, Dale suggested another record that my son happened to have in mind, but he thought Dale wouldn't have it. Well, Dale did have it. I love this place. Dale is an outstanding and friendly individual. We are all about supporting local small business owners.

Good OldSkool skate shop! Time machine for shire! Great real vintage attire and relics. You won't be disappointed.

Village Records is an absolute GEM here in the Valley. Being a music lover and collector, I'm…read morealways looking for ways to expand my collection whether the form is in cassettes, CDs, or vinyls, and Village has it all. I work and live very nearby so I find myself at Village multiple times a week. Now for the real meat and potato's: their music selection. They have EVERYTHING! Typically (at least for me) I can get the vibe and idea of a record store's catalogue after my first visit...Village Records has consistently kept me on my toes as every visit (even in the same week) wields new (and old) releases that either I didn't think were still being sold or thought they were going to be exclusive elsewhere. They have a very nice and easy to navigate layout of genres that range from Oldies, Pop/Pop Rock, Soft/Hard Rock, Soundtracks, New & Old School Hip Hop & Rap, Indie, the Local Scene, Soul, R&B, Country, Metal, Hardcore, and absolutely everything in between. Also both staff members (I happen to come in a lot when Colin is working so I know him the best; super cool dude) and the owner are super welcoming and provide great insight whenever I have a question or just want to talk music. 11/10 spot and record store, so happy I stumbled across it, awesome value for all their goodies, and very happy to say it's my favorite record store that I've been to!

Had the absolute joy of geeking out over everything music with darling Collin. I love him (As a Mother with a musical son the same age). We scored a dope haul that day with the likes of Chris Cornell, Father John Misty, & Tool's Fear Inoculum, which has been on my "Must Have List" for quite some time now. We love how all the vinyl shops in the desert have their own unique selections to choose from. Village Records had me chomping at the bit to get back in for more music sifting. This time I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Jeffrey. We got to fanning out over David Byrne and the Talking Heads. Just then, I was zoomed into outer space when Jeffrey furnished this rad CD of the Talking Heads LIVE in LA 1983 AND David Byrnes new vinyl (Who Is The Sky) which I have not been able to find anywhere. Beyond grateful Village Records is now here to share the same space with listeners. Thank You.

At…read morefirst I didn't realize that there's another location just past downtown Palm Springs tucked inside a strip mall. Then there's this location, which I believe maybe a bigger one. Just off the main strip of East Palm Canyon, you won't miss it. There's plenty of parking which is always a major plus. Right when you walk in, of course you can tell it's a thrift store. One side is where all homes goods and furniture is located and the opposite is where the clothing are. There's quite a big home section which I was quite surprised. Deals were great for some of the things I saw. Pretty much loads of items and well priced. But right in the middle of the store, there's more furniture but it seems to be more of the higher end collection. A good selection on mid century and modern pieces which looked pretty new. They're a bit pricer than you would normally think for a second hand shop but still pretty affordable. Clothing wise, I didn't scan through it as I was just browsing the furniture and accessories. You can score some gems there if you look around. Some things looked amazing but prices were a bit on the expensive side for what it was. It's a pretty cool place to just pop in to see what they carry. Who knows, you could find some amazing gems.

It was pretty busy for a weekday, but this store had the 70s music playing and me - and a few other Boogie Souls - a groovin'! So many cool MCM pieces - both new and used - and great prices. I'm thinking these must come from liquidators and estate sales, as well as donations. There are SO MANY items I loved with nowhere to put them. Thankfully, we also had no room, save for a couple of nooks in the car we managed to cram the books and silly trinkets we found to bring home. I told Hubs, 'We are DEF coming back here with a large vehicle, A LOT of donations, a budget and no common sense!' LOVE that I'm supporting a charitable organization and local community outreach programs by shopping at these Revivals stores. No wonder they are award winning! Cheers! "CC"

This location has probably the best selection of clothing I've seen, with that taking up the majority of the store's inventory. These items are donated 100% free of charge, yet many are priced as if they're brand new--or even more expensive than buying them new on sale at a retail store. The whole purpose of a thrift store is to make secondhand items affordable while supporting the community. Instead, it feels like someone with no understanding of value is pricing these donations based on wishful thinking rather than reality. I've seen chipped home décor, worn clothing, used kitchen items, and damaged furniture with price tags that made me laugh out loud. At these prices, I'd rather spend a few dollars more and buy something brand new with a warranty and the ability to return it. Goodwill has forgotten what made people love thrift stores in the first place. Until pricing becomes reasonable again, I'll gladly take my business to local thrift stores where donated items are actually priced like donated items.
