Fantastico inventory, Alina, reasonable prices, and Alina :) Every time I'm at The River, a quick stop at this store is a must for me. Whether it's to make a purchase or just browse. I have an extensive hat collection -- mostly baseball style caps. I prefer my hats low-profile and lightweight or DryFit. I've been eyeing a particular hat here, but it's very similar to one of my Boston Red Sox hats. It's so similar, I've refrained from buying it. But I keep thinking about that Rancho Mirage hat -- especially when I'm not in the mood to sport my Red Sox colors or a simple shape of red. And today was finally time to do the deed. Nearly every time I come home with a new hat, wifey joking says her greatest hits: "what do you need another hat for?" "don't you already have a hat like that?" "another hat?" "How much did you pay for that?" But not this time...and even tho it looks very much like that Red Sox hat, when she saw it, she understood why I couldn't help myself. (Btw I walked in the kitchen wearing the hat and she didn't even notice it was new until I kept laughing and saying over & over "I knew you wouldn't notice" until she realized it's a new addition to my collection? Tho I've been to Hats Unlimited several times, I've never had the pleasure of meeting & chatting with their outstanding team player, Alina. She takes pride in her outstanding customer service, with a beautiful smile that lights up the room and all the hats. The store is always clean, neat & tidy...and I've never seen a single cap displaced. We would have spent a lot more time browsing through their plentiful collection if the air conditioning had been allowed to stay inside and cool the store instead of battling with the heat outside and losing! Fortunately the salesperson, after apologizing that they are required to keep the doors open, was very helpful and found us what we wanted quickly, so we could get out and go somewhere else that knows how to use an air conditioner. I guess someone in charge doesn't trust that potential customers are capable of using a door. What is the world coming to?

I'm personally a huge fan of gemstones and crystals and this place seriously has everything under the sun. The owner Steve is just wonderful, he gives you old-fashioned, trustworthy service every single time and is always in such a positive mood (how could you not be when surrounded by energetic crystals!). Most recently, I purchased a crystal and had them do a custom order for me to wrap it into a pendant. Super friendly service, and I even get a handwritten hard-copy stub of a receipt to hang onto while it's being made, I really love that you get that personal touch instead of an informal receipt printed off of a machine. I'm only 25 years old but I completely appreciate how warm and old-fashioned the store is. Will continue to shop here for sure.
