Daleno Fine Art is an art gallery on South Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. I've passed by this gallery multiple times and this weekend was my first time here, inside the gallery looking at the artwork.
Upon entry Fendi and I were greeted by the gallery beagle. No gallery person around to greet, provide information about the gallery and the art collection.
On display was an eclectic collection of sorts and styles, subject matter and style of art. After we walk towards the back room, I overheard a guy saying the gallery represents over 500 artists and their works. I noticed a sign with price listings based on size and the word 'Giclees,' a technology for fine art or photograph reproduction using a high-quality inkjet printer to make individual copies. Giclee is a French term meaning "to spray", referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclee prints are usually produced.
The following is defined and credited to wiki:
Giclée (/ikle/ zhee-KLAY) is a neologism coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints made on inkjet printers. The name originally applied to fine art prints created on a modified Iris printer in a process invented in the late 1980s.
It's disheartening for an art lover like myself to have to research info about this gallery and the jist of their art collection content, particularly giclées, which ink jet copies of art are produced. Thus, making art more financially attainable for the masses.
No information on paper/booklet , no posted credit about the art and artist, no narrative from a gallery person here for a prospective client, me.
Lack of representation and service from a human being is primarily the basis on my 2 star review.
I'm quite sure the art exhibited is on a revolving rotation with new artists and their collection, and
I can appreciate it visually without human interaction here, but more information might result in more sales. read more
