Best vegan burger I have ever had! We drive from Des Moines just for this! The tator tots were great as well!!!

IPA's on tap

My fiancé and I stopped in for a quick bite. He ordered the Standard burger with cheese and tator tots for a side. I ordered the Clucker nachos, which was chicken, and requested to add tomatoes and onions. I was desperate for a cup of coffee. Our waitress Laci made a fresh pot just for me! Laci was very attentive and personable. The food was absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back! They also offer a tackle box smore kit which is really cool! Daisy's Garage has 16 IPA's on tap and an outdoor patio with umbrellas.

I went to lunch with my boyfriend at Daisy's Garage in Cedar Rapids. It was pretty busy inside, but that didn't impact our wait time or the time it took to get our food. We were seated right away and after ordering, our food came out to us pretty quick. My boyfriend ordered a Garden Salad with Balsamic Dressing and I ordered a Chicken and Goat Cheese Salad with Ranch Dressing. Both of us were not disappointed at all! In fact, our food was delicious! Our waitress was very kind, personable, and did wonderful with refilling our beverages as needed. We both agreed that we want to return and try their Steam Pot with crab legs. Overall, a great experience!

Tex-Mex shipwreck

Stopped at the Marion Daisy's Garage on a spur of the moment decision, and it was the best decision for sure! I had the Classic breakfast, and my Hubby has the Tex-Mex Shipwreck. Both were prepared perfectly. We also noticed anothervtable with cornbread. My husband had to get an order to try. Our compliments to the chef! The service was quick. Another nearby server was SO personable, almost ran into him inside, and he made the kindest comment, plus he sat down with his one table to be on the same level as the child. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was beautiful, separate from the 5 with the garage door up made it still feel like one huge space. A must go to for all!!

Daisy's made it on our "to try" list after I saw a photo of their steam pot. We stopped in a time before trying to get dinner, but nothing else on the menu really stood out to us and the steam pot was pricier than we were trying to spend that day. About a week or so ago, we returned with my dad to finally try the dang thing and boy were we disappointed. The interior of this building is nothing like the exterior would have you believe. It's got a divey, basement lounge feel to it. The walls are decorated with license plates and other car/roadside memorabilia. There was peanut debris everywhere, which I guess is a "thing" and I'm not into it. (Why would you want to sit in food filth? This isn't acceptable for any other food and style or not, it should be cleared before the next guests.) The service was okay. Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. There is no website so we relied on Yelp to provide accurate hours, menu, and pricing - bad idea. The menu photos are out of date and again we were faced with spending way more than we anticipated. The food, however, was gross. The guys wanted nachos so we got the pulled pork version. I thought the flavors came up short, but it wasn't bad. Our much anticipated steam pot was actual steamed garbage. The crawfish tasted like it's home in the mud. The potatoes were boring. The crab legs were okay. I think by far the most disgusting aspect was the corn. How do you screw up corn IN IOWA?! Just beyond me. Not only that, I had only a few bites and still had some food-related symptoms the next day. My boyfriend had strong, negative feelings about the Riley's brand before and now I see why. The menu has little variation for the size and the food is overpriced and bad quality. Spend that kind of money on a better experience and food you can actually eat without wanting to spit it out or getting sick.

One of the best tenderloins I have eaten. I have food allergy so I ordered the grilled tenderloin to make sure that it would not come into contact with the food I'm allergic to. Can not believe how accommodating the staff was. The cook even came out to make sure it would be ok to prepare my sandwich in a clean pan rather than on the grill. Everyone was so pleasant and went out of their way to make sure we had everything. The atmosphere was friendly and pleasant and the establishment was very clean

I really like Daisy's Garage and would love to return. We had our work party there and we all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you very much.

Great potential, just wonder if the owner is in to it or they hired the wrong manager.

I've never had a bad experience with the staff, though my friends and I usually sit at the bar. I used to get the Cuban on the pretzel roll back in the day but sadly the pretzel roll went away then so did the Cuban. One constant I've almost always have had is their Parmesan fries, they've always been a highlight either as a side to a burger or as an appetizer. Their version is easily some of the best fries I've ever had. The dipping sauce is on point, I recommend getting two of them. Something that has fallen off in recent years and I keep forgetting that fact, is their cheese wontons. I first fell in love with cheese wontons at Irish Democrat many moons ago and I've been chasing them ever since. They were good here once but not anymore - too much CRUNCHY wonton wrap and not enough cheese. People don't eat wontons for the wrapper, they go for the filling, if they didn't, that would be like going to Paris to see the frame and not the Mona Lisa. For these, the dipping sauce is always the best part of the dish. Overall it was a positive experience as usual. I will return.

First impressions were a bit confusing--the entrance makes you feel like you're walking into an office building. There's a door to the right with signage for what seems to be a sister bar that's only open on limited nights, but the actual restaurant is straight back. Once inside, the space is large and open, with plenty of room between tables and a sizable bar area. I sat at the bar and learned about their Whiskey Wednesday specials, which included several types of Old Fashioneds and whiskey flights. While it sounded intriguing, I opted not to partake. They also offer daily drink special themes. The menu is eclectic, with a mix of Cajun, Italian, and American fare. I went with the Cacio e Pepe with Elephant Ear (Orcchiette) pasta, and added shrimp along with a half wedge salad as a premium side. The pasta itself was delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, peppery flavor. However, I wish the server had mentioned that the shrimp was Cajun-seasoned. While great on its own, it slightly overpowered the pasta. The wedge salad was a bit of a letdown--the lettuce was watery, which diluted the overall flavor. The dish also came with garlic bread, which was yummy. Service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and efficient. Unfortunately, it was hard to get a real read on the restaurant's vibe because it was pretty empty on a Wednesday night.
