I found this salon on Yelp then checked their IG to see their work and which nail tech I should go…read moreto. I scheduled w/ Angie the day before via calling the shop, but you can book straight from their IG. I was seen my Ynette (not sure about spelling) for my soak-off and she did a great job. Not too much drilling and took her time when I told her that my nails were thin. She didn't man handle my nails and was super personable and friendly. Angie then did my dip powder, apparently she's the only one who does dip powder, most do acrylic. She took care of me and I had no issues. My nails were pretty simple, so it wasn't much she could've messed up on. I will say, that her shaping was on point. I always get almond and some salons end up giving me round nails. All the nail techs seem to be friendly, they interacted with all their customers and clearly knew them well. Appreciations: Prices posted clearly on the wall. I love the transparency with that detail. The designs they do are on point, they do it all and leave nothing to be desired. Everyone working had really cute nails. Most of the time the Nail techs don't even have their nails done, from what I've seen. Notes: They don't have a lot of dip colors, but have plenty of polish colors. They only have 2 pedicure chairs and they're the big Queen style (think wedding) chairs. It seems to be difficult to book multiple services for 1 day. There's 7 nail stations and 1 girl seems to mainly work the schedule. They have a reward system that gets you discounts. Thoughts: $10 for a soak-off is pricey, they may as well just charge $45 for dip powder then. Price: $35 dip powder, $10 soak off, $.50+ for crystals, $3 for repair. My total was $60. Not sure how my design was $12, but I'm not complaining because it still would've cost more in NoVa. If these nails last 3+ weeks, they're def worth it.

5 stars for acrylic work on hands. Let's face it, it's not easy to find skilled acrylic nail…read moretechnicians. That's why I'm grateful Lavish really focuses on their specialty. I haven't tried all the nail techs here yet but I've tried a few so far and they do good work. They are friendly and make the experience pleasant. Check out their Instagram page so you can get a feel for what tech you like. Most of the techs have their own personal Instagram page as well. I bring pictures with ideas and they don't exactly replicate it but they do their own take on it and sometimes do something even better. SKIP THE PEDI: Now I hate to say anything negative but I have to be real... this is NOT a place I would recommend for pedicures. I actually wish they would just get rid of the pedicure option and put all their focus on hands or maybe dedicate one or two people to pedis, who do it well. I appreciate them for what they do (and they do it well) but it seems to me that pedis aren't it.
