Horrible customer service! I have placed an online order because I did not have a Daiso store where I lived at the time. This location seems to be where online order ships out from. I addressed an issue with my order recently. There was error on their end where an item was not shipped. I received an immediate response so I was relieved that they were going to fix the issue addressed. After the initial response and providing proof of purchase, they completely ignored my emails. My orders are not just few items. I normally place big orders every few months. I won't be placing online orders with them anymore. read more

I can spend an entire day at Daiso. Walking into this store is mind blowing. So many cutsie things! Aisles and aisles of it. Everything is so bright and colorful. Best part, most everything in here is $1.50. Store is neat, clean, and organized. I love the little shopping carts. You take shopping baskets and put together your own cart. Employees are quick and very friendly. All sales are final. They have a bunch of cool stuff here. Snacks, kitchen supplies, office supplies, sushi making stuff, containers, art supplies, party supplies, wrapping paper, dress shirts, ties, cups, bowls, bags, shower stuff, etc. I love this store so much. Very disappointed I visit this store today and it was brand new. I haven't been here in months and months but they changed the whole layout and lighting. They changed the lights. Idk why? It is super Dark in here. Even with my reading glasses on it's hard to maneuver too dark in here! And it was day time! Everything looks so small. The aisles are larger but it seems like they have taken away a lot of items! They rearrange the aisle so I have to like look for the stuff. Not where they were before. I like the layout before because it was larger and brightly lit. I don't think they made a good use of their space. Also, the items are either increasing in price, has minimize in size or has been eliminated completely ): Which is so sad because the stuff I bought before. I come back and there was not much here. I couldn't find what I was looking for. And they should not decrease their products! I like the old Daiso! I freaking love this store for so many reasons!! 1. When you walk in, it's pink!! Who doesn't love to walk into a pink store? 2. It's super cheap. It's like an Asian version of a dollar store, but so much better. The majority of stuff is $1.50. If it's not, it'll be marked so you're not surprised when you get to the register. 3. They have everything you need and more. From beauty accessories, to office supplies, to kitchen gadgets, to snacks, they have it all. Of course not everything is useful, but what is shopping without getting random junk. I've bought a few things from here before like a matching pink dustpan and broom, eyelash curler pads, chopsticks, a seam ripper and tons of Asian candy. I could spend all day here! Daiso, aka the 100¥ store in Japan is now here in So Cal (Gardena, Torrance, & Irvine). I've been to both South Bay locations and personally like the Gardena one better. For $1.50/item (unless otherwise marked) you can find everything from household items to office & art supplies, random clothing, snacks, and Japanese themed decorations. For example, I've bought disposable tea bags (100 ct), plastic pastry bags (12/pkg), a cute cloth eyeglass case that I use to hold my iPhone, plastic cable ties, travel packets of kleenex & wipes, random plastic boxes, a mini pill case, and a cute travel sized Japanese fan. I always walk in saying, "oh, I'll get only what I need" but inevitably walk out with a bag full of unnecessary but interesting "stuff!" Being a "plastic container junkie & neat freak" this place is heaven. That said...my husband HATES taking me here because I always shop for at least 2+ hours and he would much rather be at home watching sports. Daiso has lots of parking and is a pretty big store. All sales are final so make sure you inspect your items before you check out. read more

I love shopping at Daiso, hated my shopping experience today. I came in at 7:40 and the person doing announcements was really obnoxious and trying to push customers to leave before closing. I can understand how it's frustrating it can be but people can be out at a timely fashion without announcing that they're closing every 5 minutes. Literally. Hope I can return in April because this is my favorite Daiso location. It's the largest and has the best selection/ stock. This is the Asian $0.99 Only Store, and most items are $1.50 (or 140 yen)... The quality and cleanliness is above the American $0.99 Only Stores, Dollar Tree, Big Lots and the like. It's organized and they'll remind you "Do Not Open the Packages" - - they're doing their best to keep this not ghetto, which is nice. The perceived quality and actual quality along with the unique variety makes this for a good knick knack store with novelties, quick essentials and cute affordable gift items. They have food/snacks, office supplies, storage containers, air fresheners, and a lot of stuff you need daily and other things you never thought you'd need, but end up buying (like a single Char Siu Bao microwave steamer). This location on Artesia is next to the 99 Ranch Asian Supermarket (and a McDonald's), so parking is available, not always super easy, but also if you time it right, not bad eitehr. This used to be a Marukai or Mitsuwa discount store, but Daiso took over the property, so it sells essentially the same type of stuff in many ways. There's also a Daiso location off of Hawthorne and Sepulveda near the Del Amo Mall in Torrance, and one in the San Francisco Bay Area, in Colma (near Daly City) at the Serramonte Shopping Center. read more

There are no signs to show how to get to the check out. You can barely see where the check out is because the counters are high. I asked one employee where the check out was and she just pointed in the direction of the front door. Two other customers also could not find the check out. You need to literally go through a fat maze to get to the check out area. And when I finally got there 4 employees were standing around gossiping. That will be the last time I go into that store. This is a GREAT Daiso...HUGE!!! If you haven't been to a Daiso, you will be addicted once you go. They have just about everything you can think of, glassware, kitchen supplies, cleaning items, gardening tools, regular tools, schools supplies, party supplies, travel items, snacks...if you are looking for some odds and ends, you might find it here. I would say that 90% of the store is $1.50 with a few exceptions are a bit more but still cheaper then going to target. If you are on a tight budget, I would suggest you might avoid this place because you might go crazy and walk out with 20 things! haha.... Parking was SUPER easy - big lot. Been here many times just to get what I need but when I ask for help I've been receive with a bad attitude. Not a smile on there face. The current manager was even worse. Someone said since I'm not Asian they'll give me attitude. If that's the case then That's a shame as my money is still worth something no matter the origins. Decided to stop by for a cute pair of chopsticks which I did find. Black with a silvery flower accent at the top. TOO CUTE. I also found a panda sandwich cutter for my daughter because she loves her Nutella sandwiches! They have an adorable Disney section to your left as you enter the store. Cute earrings, tote baggy, stationary stuff, etc. Cashier was very friendly. Only thing that disappointed me was on how empty the store looked. Merchandise on shelves was mostly gone. This is one of the more comprehensive Daiso strores in terms of merchandise selection and largest in regards to square footage. The aisles are wide and clean with lots of signage for easy navigation. My favorite part about this particular Daiso is the various snack options. They also carry lots of different Pocky flavors and most recently, sea salt Pocky, which I left with 2 packs! It's bigger than ones in sawtelle, Monterey park, Arcadia, Temple city, or Ktown I've found things here not seen elsewhere. Aisles are spacious and ample so people can easily pass through. Can you tell I love Daiso stores. Everything there is $1.50. They have so many high-quality items and it's a fun store to shop in. Each time I come to California I make sure I check out Daiso stores and this trip was no exception. What do I buy? Anything, kitchen towels, bento containers, socks, cosmetic products, knitting supplies, night lights, lingerie bags, cosmetic bags, cute wrapping paper, slippers... You name it, they have it. On this trip I got to the flagship store in Gardena. It's huge. What I thought was very humorous though was we got there about half an hour before closing. The employees there want to be sure they close on time and started announcing at least 15 minutes before closing. Then they started turning off the lights and back on again to hurry out of the store. Daiso is like the cute, pink cosplay cousin of your local 99-cent store. The aisles are loaded with a similar hodge-podge of small (& sometimes odd) items that you might find at Dollar General, but, like, waaaaaaaaay cuter, cleaner, and pinker. The place is great and has what you needed. I see other reviews recalling the old Daiso, but here's a real review basing off as of the recent model of Daiso. I'm not going to say the old Daiso is better, I'm reviewing the customer service and see if the store upholds standards to treat customers right. Customer service is decent. They do have refuse service, and they have fairness. I saw a customer cut in line going in the wrong direction, and the cashier would tell them to get back in CORRECT line. Recently came here to Daiso to purchase some things. The cashier, Erin (Latina, tall, and big) accidentally charged an item one extra time. When I noticed the extra charge, I contested it and simply asked if it could be fixed. Erin did fix the error, but she was very rude about it and had an unpleasant attitude. I didn't like the way I was treated and asked if she could please apologize, but she straight up told me "No" with a glare and continued with what she was doing. I can understand that maybe she had a long day and it was not a good day.. and I also work as a cashier and completely empathize... but that is not an excuse to disrespect your customers. There were these small finger cotton things that look like a cocoon. You place them on your finger tips to wipe and clean your face! Then there was the smaller dust brush Ever! I love checking out the items inside Daiso. It is truly a happy store! You can find office, stationery, household cleaning,cooking, gift wrapping, card supplies, and even garden supplies. I LOVE Daiso! I think this is my favorite location for the fact that I think it is the biggest store I have been to yet. Stocked with the usual amazing goodies starting at $1.50 that other stores have but you have room to move. Most locations are so tight, you barely fit through with your shopping basket. I just LOVE their products and find new things every time. It takes forever to figure out what some of the things are but when I try them, I always love them. Daiso is just fascinating. I could literally spend hours and hours looking up and down the aisles - and yet not buy anything. My wife, on the other hand, thought she had died and went to heaven. Daiso is like if Bed, Bath and Beyond had a baby with the 99 Cents store and then decorated it in Hello Kitty. For example, have you ever looked at your Kleenex box and thought, "I wish I had a pink fuzzy sock to cover that." That's Daiso.
