Smash & Grab Burger Co. Knoxville…read more Passing through Knoxville and the truck pulls hard into Smash & Grab. Got it to go. We both got the Jesse's Function Burger: two smash patties; only ketchup, mustard, pickle onion, and cheese on a brioche bun. The presentation was fabulous. The patties had crispy lace edges with great beef flavor, fresh red onion and crisp pickles that just takes you to hamburger heaven. Perfect beef to bun ratio. Juicy and full of flavor. The bun was soft and held up well. The flavor is fantastic. Fries. I am not a huge fry person and can take it or leave it. These fries are phenomenal. I love the fries. They are like battered seasoned fries or something, possibly dusted with food crack because I actually ate half an order. Very tasty. The service was excellent. They also have the 3% CC Fee, so it's not just Des Moines area. Paid cash and no CC fee, plus no issues just great customer service and fresh fantastic food. The fries are included and not extra. I came through a couple weeks before and got a couple of the other burgers on the menu, but made some modifications. I wanted to try just a plain burger and it's definitely a solid burger. The smash sauce and other toppings can hide the flavor, so wanted to strip it down. However they have a lot of different options and everything I have had has been fresh and delicious. I have tried the "Get in my Belly, Jack & Jelly" on a Brioche Bun and it was excellent. Definitely will keep returning. #IABestBurger Iowa Beef Council

There was a special today called The Dutchess: Dutch letter cream cheese, homemade raspberry jam, white cheddar. Very creative and the flavors were incredible. Fries are also perfect. The ice cream and pies on offer looked tantalizing, but we came in for dinner first. We ordered 2 hot sandwiches and swapped halves so we could enjoy sampling more on our first visit. We tried the Italian Stallion and the Great Dane sandwiches, both on sourdough, with fries on the side. We loved both sandwiches, but thought the Great Dane was better. The American Fries are actually roasted, seasoned new potatoes (not fried potatoes), but they were delicious! For dessert I had to go with the classic banana split because they are hard to come by. Amazing! I highly recommend this place if you are in the area!

The Classic is just that, a beloved local spot in downtown Brooklyn where the friendly service and delicious food made for a truly memorable dining experience! The staff made us feel right at home from the warm greeting at the door to the server's helpful recommendations. The menu offered plenty of options, including daily specials. My tacos were delicious and bursting with flavor. Whether you live nearby or just passing through - i would definitely recommend making a stop here.

I had the dried beef sandwich with Gouda cheese on raisin bread. I didn't add mayonnaise, but I would next time. It was surprisingly tasty. I also had a cup of hamburger chowder soup and it really hit the spot. I ended up taking half of my sandwich home. The pickle was a nice addition on the side. Friend had what she said, was the best chicken salad she think she's ever had! It wasn't a really large sandwich, but it was just enough. What a great little spot for lunch. It wasn't real expensive either. It's a very cute place with a brick on the walls and wooden tables and floor. A very nice place for lunch. I'd like to come back and sit on the rooftop a nice weather.

We are told we order there and then find a seat and someone will bring our food. First they brought the wrong food. Two of us were done eating before the other two got their food. Nobody ever asked if we wanted drink refills. We had to go to the bar. It makes no sense why you can't sit and have someone wait on you. There were two tables and the "server" was never around. Three women standing at bar talking about dating instead of tending to customers. The food was okay, but it would have been better with some BBQ sauce...but we couldn't find anyone to ask. The building is really neat...I will give them that. Our first visit to Iowa...probably won't return to this particular eatery.
