Ice cream is nothing special for the price and wait times either. Also have unreliable hours- frequently closed during advertised business hours. We ordered a "Burn All The Way" malt (made with chocolate ice cream and a chocolate syrup) and 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream. The person behind the counter was friendly and the service was quick. They brought our items to the table within 3 or 4 minutes. The scoops of ice cream were good (Kemps brand). The malt was not thick, but rather like ice cold chocolate milk. It also wasn't very "malty". They serve food here and the place was filled with smoke from the grill and smelled greasy. They tried turning on the exhaust fan but it was super loud and didn't clear the air. I don't think I'll be back to give it a second chance.

Casey's in particular offers tasty breakfast items, and really good pizza. At this Casey's (at a major intersection), it was time for a fill-up as part of a daylight road trip with my Dad. By my estimation, my per gallon cost was a full $1.50 a gallon less than my Maverik alternative in Minden NV. Part of that reflects an ethanol subsidy, which makes premium unleaded less that regular. The other part? I used to work for a Big Oil company and I still have no idea!

The Absolute Best Place in Knoxvegas to get Ice Cream…read more The chocolate marshmallow malt is amazing, I got the large and was shocked by the size of it. It's like a half pint, had to put it in the freezer for later. The cookie dough siberian is an excellent choice, the ice cream here has an excellent flavor. The cookie dough is real cookie dough chunks, not those little pieces you get at other places. The tenderloin is excellent, fried when you place your order so it's nice and hot. The Indian Taco is fantastic, if you know tasty tacos it's similar, but the meat has better seasoning and no beans. The shell is perfect and has the perfect amount of toppings. This is one of the top places in Knoxvegas, they don't have many places, but glad to have this place.

I'm happy to report that she'd be proud of her namesake town, especially Casey's Creamery. From the outside, I initially wondered if it was more of a decorative storefront than a working ice cream shop. The moment I stepped inside, I realized it was the real deal. What makes Casey's Creamery stand out is its small-batch approach to ice cream, with creative flavors that make it worth taking your time to decide. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they serve donut holes--a fun addition that pairs perfectly with a scoop of ice cream. Whether you're making a road trip across Iowa or simply passing through central Iowa, Casey's Creamery is a sweet place to take a break, cool off, and enjoy a treat. It's a charming hometown shop that's well worth the stop.
