If I could leave zero stars I would. I used to live in Weimar and Dairy Queen was shut down multiple times over the years I lived there and it won't surprise me if it happens again. Me and two of my friends walked in for ice cream we sat at the register for 10 minutes waiting for are ordered to be taken. During the 10 minutes One of there workers that we knew of threatened to hurt me and in the past threatened a school and I don't think threatening paying customers is proper work etiquette. The ice cream me and friends got were liquidy and felt made with a disgust that we were there. In the past my orders were never right unless you ordered something simple like a chicken basket. Never again! We ordered 2 mini blizzards that were half melted and weren't even close to full. We also ordered a Medium dipped cone that was definitely a small, it also didn't fill the cone. Stopped in while passing through. They were having difficulties with their cash register and ice cream machine. We understood and waited until those things were corrected. Unfortunately, they forgot our order and serviced the drive thru and 2 other customers that ordered after us before we were able to get our ice cream. Wow, I'm impressed. Definitely under new management. Staff are friendly, fast, and efficient. Food is made to order, hot, and fresh! And details to customer service is what was most impressive for me. I mean, who wipes the outside of a drink cup nowadays when a little bit runs over on a fountain drink? What impresses me the most is I've made three or four visits here since the management change, and employee service, food quality, and courtesy has remained consistent here with the new change! So what remains, is the outside is still a little rough, and needs a little curb appeal. I was a little nervous in the drive-through thinking I was going to get stuck in a large hole beside the window, and behind the store is a little tight if you're going to return into the parking lot. I had someone else make my burger tonight and I rarely ever do this, but I did tonight, being that it was cold and old, which has never happened here before and we come through "very often"!!!! 1) the lady running the register was awesome and had a fresh one made for me. 2) this time, it was made by Thomas, who did it right (someone else made the other) 3) Nom Nom Nom. It's dairy queen in a small town. Certainly nothing to write home about, but it's a good enough stop for sustenance on I-10 between houston and san antone. Service was S.L.O.W. but the food was hot and good. The restrooms are deeeesgusting, you may actually be better off at one of the gas stations on the corner. For some reason they have the heater on in the bathroom in June in Texas!?!??! The logic there is shakey at best. And the heat + smell of prior poopers was more than I could handle. If I could give this place negative reviews I would give this negative 100 stars no hesitation. We went to eat here after a trip to Houston. We got our food and choose to sit somewhere a lot of flies and place is outdated very disgusting and not pleasing. Restroom was nasty pee all over the floor water was probably green. The "Manger" (Xena) was very rude cussing at a customer. But there was a really nice worker named Andre he was going to fix up a burger for us but we decided to go because it was very trash. I would even go eat in the woods more sanitary. The place needs to be re molded very old not modern and gross over all. I used to enjoy this DQ location but, time and time again, they go from bad to worst especially the Drive-Thru. I would order two items on the menu and it would take them 15 to 20 minutes and sometimes more than that. I heard recently someone in town had a case of Food Poisoning and others simply left altogether from the line because of slow service. Don't get me wrong, they still provide other good items on the menu but, because of the incident, it makes you wonder how well they maintain a level of sanitation, if its up to par and conditions on their equipments and food preparations. read more

My family and I stopped here for dinner and a treat on our way back to houston. This was a mistake. We all got the chicken strip basket.. fries were good, chicken tasted overcooked.. I couldn't even finish mine just because of the taste. When we got done and went to order dessert, I got a dipped ice cream cone(it was fine, just didn't have the DQ swirl.. can't really mess up a dipped cone, lol), my fiancé wanted a cheese quake blizzard that is advertised on the entrance door.. the guy said the only blizzards he had available were the basic oreo, heath, butterfinger, reeses and m&m. He then asked for a peanut buster parfait and the guy said they didn't have any cups for it. He then informed us that most of his machines weren't working, including his oven was broken(explains the chicken). He also told us that DQ discontinued most of the items on the menu and the advertised ones on the doors and windows. Smh. If this is true his menu needs to be updated, but somehow I don't believe it is full truth. My stepdaughter got an oreo blizzard which only had oreo on the top and all ice cream in the remainder of the cup. These people need to get it together! If I could give this Dairy Queen a negative star rating I would. First off they were totyout of ice cream and it was very early in the day!?? What?? So had to forget my craving for a Blizzard...wish I had not been so hungry because I should have left at that point. Unfollow I ordered and paid before I saw the two cooks working in the parking lot on a car with their gloves on then return to the kitchen without washing their hands or at least change it to a clean pair of gloves! Upon arrival, my family went to restrooms, which were decently clean, while I paid for meal. We made our drinks and they gave us our ice creams. Within a minute or so our food was ready. While I was waiting for the refund the cook was yelling towards me that if I wanted fast food I should've gone to McDonalds. He continued to run his mouth about chicks taking six minutes (we were over 20) and that this isn't fast food and we need to get our and go somewhere else. He of course wouldn't speak to me directly just ran his mouth back there. Then we were told the computer was down and she couldn't do my refund and would have to call her GM.
