NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN, YOU SHOULDNT EITHER. TLDR: bad workers, horrible service, even worse food. Me and my father came in to get some ice cream for the family. 2 items were messed up, a dipped cone and a blizzard. Everything else was a let down too. The other blizzards were melted just after we got them and the slushee (whatever Dairy Queen calls their slushees) was half melted by the time the worker got it out. To make matters worse, only two workers were present. Both seemed to be around 14-15. No managers. Neither wore a uniform and NO GLOVES! The one taking orders had a thick Indian accent that made him hard to understand, and by the looks of our poor quality order that was filled with mistakes, he didn't understand us either. I know this is a smaller location than the average Dairy Queen but come on guys! Your service was horrible and the quality was even worse. When I arrived there were a few people ahead of me. Which is fine I don't mind waiting. I placed my order and payed with a debit card. 2 parts of my order was fulfilled but the third did not because "they ran out of vanilla ice cream". I had been looking forward to this treat all day. The rest of my family enjoyed there treats while I had to go without. Every time that I go to this DQ, they always mess up a part of my order, or I don't get a part of it. Both bathrooms are seemingly always out of order. The place could use a good cleaning, but not in a filthy way (regular maintenance). Other than that, the Girl behind the counter was very helpful & was able to keep up with all the orders after a large crowd came and went. I think this place deserves a better rating. I can see why this place receives a low rating. We finished dinner nearby and thought to jump into this Dairy Queen for a sweet. Not a good idea. The place was run by a single high school aged teenager obviously holding down a job in the evenings. His friends were doing their homework at one of the tables and just sort of hanging. Now I have nothing against hanging, but this Dairy Queen pretty much lets the teens run it. Ice cream was ok...the usual at this chain. The place was sort of dirty...the owner hasn't reinvested in facilities so it is sort of run down. Didn't get a receipt because the cash register didn't have paper in it. I live close to this location and come here way more than I would like to admit. What can I say... My ice cream obsession started when I was pregnant and had some major cravings. After the baby came, the cravings never really stopped. As you can see from the picture, they do not jip you on portion sizes. I have ordered many different things, and it is always delicious. Don't order a cake from here. The management and owners let teenagers be in charge of your cakes for special occasions. When the cake gets messed up, management doesn't have the decency to call you back to correct mistakes. This location seems to be especially apathetic. There are too many other places to go for your ice cream needs. Stay clear of this particular location. read more

Dairy Queen, my kids love your blizzards. Of course, they do: we're talking about ice cream here. They don't discriminate. It's cold, sweet, and loaded with cookies, candy, whatever. We stop at this spot because it's cheaper than Oberweis (large family probz, yo) and closer than our favorite sweet spot. But every.single.time, I think "eh, this is so not worth it". Remember back in the day--and I'm aging myself here, I know--when rumor had it you could flip a blizzard upside down and it was thick enough to stay in the cup? Try that here and you're out both the $$$ and the ice cream (which would be pooling around your feet). Seriously, the blizzards are more milk consistency and less ice cream consistency, let alone, well, blizzard consistency. A sloppy, gloppy, liquid-y mess. The taste is fine but come on: it's a blizzard. Consistency is key. Also, service is pretty poor. Once in awhile, you get an enthusiastic teenager but the adults are apathetic at best. Yikes. Walking into an ice cream place should make you feel happy, amirite? Weak. In short, go elsewhere. If the store closes at 9 p.m. they should not close down any machines until then. We were not able to get any ice cream after driving 20 minutes to get here because it's the closest location to us. Called corporate to file a complaint and received a phone call from the owner of this location a few days later stating to come back in anytime and he would give me and my family a round of free ice cream. Just got here today and this was not the case. Conveniently he doesn't seem to remember the conversation and did not honor his word. I am a small business owner and if I say something I do it. We come occasionally for a blizzard treat and they are pretty good, generous enough with mix-ins. The girl working was courteous but not overly friendly or cordial, seemed stressed and she had a pretty good line of business both before and after us (on a chilly Tue PM in early May!). All they need to do is coach them to say "Welcome to DQ!" and "I'll be with you shortly!" "How can I serve you?" "Thanks for choosing DQ" just so customers (paying to give THEM a job) will feel acknowledged. That would go a long way, just basic customer service, really. It would be great to see it updated in decor/furnishings, esp since they've been there a long time when most of the other businesses in the strip have changed. They are competing with Oberweis and Portillo's nearby. We would probably come more often if it was a more positive experience. read more
