Hospitals can be a stressful place, even one as beautiful and modern as St. Luke's BGC. Over the last few years, my grandmother has been confined several times and being her main caretaker, I've had to nest in hospital rooms for days at a time. That alone can spark anxiety; it's difficult to see your loved ones in any sort of pain, and it's a little scary to wait for what the doctors will find next.
This is why I think Dairy Queen is such an important little stall in that hospital. Whether they realize it or not, people look for comfort in situations where they have to make serious decisions regarding somebody else's health. There's no better place to find that comfort than a cup of Dairy Queen's Brownie Temptation. It's got fudgy brownie chunks and nuts all swirled together in a heavenly, icy concoction. Just as every spoonful melts in your mouth, so do the worries (at least temporarily).
That can be a huge help in a hospital that serves hundreds everyday. Dairy Queen allows St. Luke's patrons some calm in the middle of health storms. My only suggestion is for them to stay open twenty-four hours. read more
