    Delicious cones!

The best ice cream in Loveland . Be sure to make a stop here! Great service too and right on the way to Estes Park.

It's like this every night and worse when the hot weather comes in summer this is the place to be it's 8:30 at night on a week day

There is always a line at this store, which I stop at occasionally on my way home from Loveland to Fort Collins. The parking lot is filled in the summertime, and there are places to sit outside enjoying your ice-cream treats surrounded by local sculptor's artworks. In the winter, it is busy, too, but people stay in their cars. Workers are friendly and helpful and quick. Everything I could want. The lights go out or are not timed correctly sometimes. [On hte menu signs, through the drive through, or on the corner] Or, as you are going from the "Pay window" to the "Pick Up window," you find out that all cones all sizes are $2 on Wednesdays, and wish you'd seen the sign before you ordered. All in all, it's a nice little ice cream place. :)

I say this not just because of the mj pajama pants, sweatshirts, hats, earrings, etc. adorning every body part that could be adorned, but because they proceeded to ask for samples of what seemed like every.single.flavor this cold rock had to offer. They'd get their tiny spoons, take a nibble, oooh and aaaah to each other, then wait half a season to pick their next sample. After this went on for about five minutes, another employee shows up and proceeds to just stand there and watch the first employee pass out tiny taste tests to Nugsy McDankBrain and Mrs. PuffMuffin. Just stands there and watches the woman do all the work, while he could have started helping one of the five other parties in line behind the Reefer Twins. I just left. I wasn't gonna pay $8 and 45 minutes for a scoop. To the couple who held the rest of us hostage - hear me out - maybe, *maaaaybe* next time you wanna puff some plumes and go sample every flavor, do it at a time that's not so busy, huh? Maybe??? Think you could do that? Maybe, oh hell, I dunno, look at the menu on the phone you have surgically implanted into your forearm and make a list of everything you want to sample so the rest of us don't have to wait 29 years to pay a ridiculous amount of money for some ice cream that's been sneezed on by the guy who didn't wash his hands after using the bathroom? You don't get to fry your brain and then make the rest of us pay the price. Hope you didn't drive home high after that stunt... heaven knows looking out for other folks isn't on the top of your priority list. I'm scared for when I'm old and this generation is running the nursing home I'm in. I'll be lying in my own excrement while they ooooh and ahhhh over the elevator because they smoked their brains away on their break and can't figure out how to get back to the nurse's station to clock in from the hotbox they just did in the employee parking lot. But I digress... This low review is more about the fact that instead of corralling the stoned ones to the side and helping me out, the other young man just sat there and watched the young woman work, while the line just kept getting longer... and longer... I watched the Capital Tacos on 34 go out of business because it employed mostly Gen Zer's who did everything *except* work while on the clock. I hope this place won't succumb to the same fate, but I won't know because I won't go back there. I spent 15 minutes I'll never get back, watching the dumbest and most dazed thing I've seen all year play out in front of me, and I even watched 47's State of the Union...

You'll notice the formidable figures on the price tags but ok fine, it's a touristy spot. There was some pseudoscience-looking literature around, as well as a Jesusy vibe, which granted has nothing to do with candy but nonetheless hurts my respect level for the place. An ice cream stand is here too, which might not be open during the cold season. Coconut/dark chocolate morsel yummy, but I don't see how you could mess that up. The toffee was nutty and buttery and not quite right, my friends and I agreed. I bought Ranch Style Divinity because I'm a sucker for nougat/marshmallow treats and I wasn't in my right mind from the altitude and jelly beans that I had already been snacking on. It turned out to be as much fun to mush around in my fingers as to eat. I decided to enjoy its saccharine substance because it cost a lot of money. While playing Candy Crush, I nibbled until my pancreas was humming and my brain was pleasingly packed with fructose and swimming in dopamine. So if that's what you want from candy, it works. I realize there's not a large range of possible quality to many candies but some products seem to not be as delicious as they could be, compared to, say, Kilwin's. And my sampling is admittedly not large so they could still win me over, with a banana chew perhaps.
