April 8, 2014 I was at Dairy Queen in Brewer Maine before closing time. My Mom and I parked and went to the window and the shade was shut on the window. So I went to the next window. There were at least three ladies working . They were fixing orders. I tried to get someones attention but no one would even look my way. I saw that the drive thru was open with cars lined up. So we got in my car and got in the drive thru line. I could see that there were at least 4 cars ahead of me plus what was on the other side of the building that I couldn't see. The line started to move. The car ahead of mine was at the speaker to order. She waited as I did for about 5-10 minutes. I heard her say Hello into the speaker with no response. As we are waiting all of a sudden all of the lights went out, outside on the building and drive thru! Nothing was said as I'm sorry we are now closed NOTHING!! I myself have been in customer service, patient care all of my life and never would I close my position/store/office with out waiting on the last customer! Even if it was after closing at that point! Many a day I have stayed at work until the last patient was taken care of or cashiering my last person in line was waited on. Customers come first! We the customers are why you are in business. With out us there wouldn't be a Dairy Queen open period! So beware if you patronize there business at Dairy Queen in Brewer Maine (Rt 1A) around the end of the day you most likely will not get any service! However if you really need that ice cream sundae go a couple of doors Down to McDonald's, we got excellent service there. read more
