Drive by a few different locations and the story is always the same, unbelievable long lines at the drive through even have people taking orders as well as the kiosks. So today was our day to visit. Unbelievable that we got parking right in front of the building. Walked and hoped on line. They have a pleasant atmosphere with fresh flowers on their tables and staff willing and able to assist walking the floor making sure everything is clean and tidy too. Popcorn chicken and waffle fries for my guys and for me a Chicken Caesar cool wrap with "grilled" chicken. Requested crispy chicken modification and was denied, they can not substitute. What?!? How hard an ask is that?! Apparently not allowed. We were given a plastic table tent and sat down indoors. As we sat I got to look around a bit. They have coloring for kids as well as a cute "Sit with the cow" program. Scan the QR code and you get to have the cow sit with you at your table. Fun idea. Our food arrived in a timely manner and boy did we time it right. While eating the line for dining in went out the door. After that wave another Sunami came through, two athletic teams from UMFC arrived. First their baseball team then 10 minutes later their soccer team arrived. Talk about popular. So now for the quality of the food. The p popcorn chicken were really good. No sauce needed. The waffle fries were delicious, crispy in the outside and soft I. The inside. Now for the wrap, not so great. As you will see, where's the chicken?? Looks more like deli meat than real grilled chicken. It was a dry sandwich to boot. Thankfully you get a sauce to go with, ranch for me. I ate the whole thing with the help of the sauce. Lemonade was good. The reason the substitution was not acceptable, it's pre made in a sealed plastic container. Not really sure what the hype is about this place, maybe it's the service from start to finish, maybe it's the atmosphere that makes you feel welcome, or maybe they have a favorite that keeps them coming back. I just don't get it, I guess. Always crowded, and why? It's not bad, but it ai t that great either! It's a Christian experiment in how to arrange chicken. No more cfa for our house & office. Just sick of the attitudes & missing order items... we already had to cut back for a bunch of us as we realized the MSG in everything was giving headaches. WELCOME to the ONLY Chick-Fil-A in Maine! That is how monumental this place is for me to make a review. Chick-Fil-A is near and dear to my heart. Being born & raised in Texas, Chick-Fil-A was a treat anytime I had it. This was my McDonald's, but with pivotal quality, delicious waffle cut fries, friendly staff members, sweet desserts (I live for their Icedream Cone), and a Christian based value. It saddens me moving to Maine, and Bangor being 2 hours away! Since this is the only Chick-Fil-A in Maine, this place gets CRAZYYYY packed. We came for a weekend in the Winter, and that's when tourists aren't usually traveling North. I can only imagine how CRAZY this place gets when it's time for the tourists to pour in! First time my wife and I went to a Chick-fil-A. Will be my last time. The chicken sandwich I got was very dry. There was no "Dressing", mayo, mustard, really anything other than melted cheese. I ordered the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich. It wasn't very spicy but that's fine. It came with pepper jack cheese on it and looked like something you get from a Walmart or Hannaford deli. That's fine. The bun was ok, the tomatoes were ok, and pickles...WHO PUTS PICKLES ON CHICKEN SANDWICH? lol. In any case, the service there was great! Problem I have with the service is that they didn't give me a receipt for my order and they missed a dressing my wife ordered for her sandwich. Staff are very friendly and courteous. I ordered waffle fries to go with my order and they were actually amazing. Made from actual potatoes. The lettuce I got on my sandwich was bad. I don't know if this place was just having an "off" day or what. To me the food was a bit of poor quality. I have read/viewed other reviews about this place and they seem to be great, but for my visit today it really wasn't. So for me, this visit was good and bad. Knowing that they put that lettuce on my sandwich and that they had to have seen the quality of it, makes this a deal breaker for me. Really the only reason that they got 2 stars from me, was the fact that the staff were very friendly. I just wish they had a "little more attention to detail". Since the day this Chick-Fil-A opened, the lines have been around the block! People flock here for their delicious chicken sandwiches, their play place, and their fantastic customer service. If you've ever been to a Chick-Fil-A, the food here is the same great quality as any other place, but the people who work here are some of the nicest in Bangor, or possibly in Maine. Todd Schultz has hired a great crew and runs a fabulous restaurant. It's clean, the wait for food is never long, and Todd makes sure his business is an active participant in the community. My favorite is the #1: Chick-Fil-A Sandwich with the side salad (kale, broccolini, and a maple dressing) and a diet lemonade. For breakfast, I love the mini chicken sandwiches with honey. My husband loves the spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles, waffle fries, and a diet lemonade. I have downloaded the Chick-Fil-A app so I get rewarded often for my loyalty. First of all I'm so shocked this is the ONLY Chick-fil-a in Maine. Glad I came while I was in Bangor. The drive thru entrance is very difficult to figure out, but once you find out how to get in m you're good to go. Ordered quickly, as there was only 1 person in front of me. I was so surprised that the line wasn't wrapped around the building and pouring out into the street as I normally see at every other Chick-fil-A I've been to. Finish ordering my meal & the pickup process takes about 5-7 minutes. I only ordered a large fry but it took them quite a while to get the person in front of me their food. I didn't understand as it was VERY slow inside and out. Fry quality was subpar. I've had better fries at Chick-fil-A. But when you dip anything into Polynesian sauce it tastes much better. If I'm in Maine I would return to this location, especially seeing I really have no other choice lol. read more

Finally got the chance to go to this location a couple of weeks ago. The location is clean organized and service was great. You place an order then given a number placed on the table. Once order is ready a human being bring it to your table folks. More and more fast food restaurant going into the electronic kiosk ordering system ( not sure why maybe to attract the younger crowds) it is always great to speak to a human. Now the food. The chicken nuggets ( tenders) were real chicken, no fillers, no grind up chicken. It was delectable piece of heaven. It was moist and yummy. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was delicious coming from a fast food restaurant. The chicken patty was perfectly cooked yet still moist inside. Overall a good fast meal. I have eaten at Chick-fil-A a few times and the food and service have always been great. However my wife and daugher ordered takeout, a couple of chicken strip meals, this evening and there was a dead baby praying mantis in the bottom of my daughter chicken strips. Yes a dead baby praying mantis, GROSS! It did not look like it had been cooked but was more likely in the bottom of the box when strips were put in it. I have called the customer service line and left a message an hour ago and have not recieved a return call yet! I don't think we will be returning. :( read more

First visit to this place outside of the southeast. It was extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon so it took a while to get through the drive through. We ended up having to park and put our hazards on since not all of our food was ready. I got chicken tenders with honey mustard and the superfood salad as a side. Everything was top notch for a fast food joint. Next time I will get the large salad. Used mobile ordering. Went inside to the mobile ordering pick up. I Stood there for a bit waiting for my breakfast ( about 10 minutes). The restaurant was not that busy and there were lots of employees walking around. no one ever addressed me to see if I was waiting for a mobile order or to acknowledge that my food was being prepared. Opened on 11/3/16, first Chick-fil-a in Maine! Standard menu. Lines were out the door on opening day and through the weekend, but service was friendly and efficient. The gentleman who took our order offered suggestions to my son who had never eaten at Chick-fil-a before. We had nuggets, strips, Waffle fries, milkshake and sweet tea, all of which were fresh and delicious.
