I was waiting in the drive through for 30 minutes tonight. Finally some girl came to the window to let me know that my food is taking so long to make because her Manager just got demoted and everyone is giving their 2 week notice. What in the world does that have to do with getting me two lousy burgers and two fries? I finally got my order after over 30 minutes waiting at the window. Some chick that was a passenger behind my car, actually got out of the car and walked up next to my passenger side and starred at me and then the drive through window! Like somehow her presence will speed things up??? Just for kicks and giggles I check my bag as I pull forward just to find one of my fries missing. I park, get out and go inside. The same skinny young guy that rang me up at the window finally comes to the cash register after I waited for almost 5 min and went "Hello" and I tell him that he missed one of my fries. He asks for my receipt which I tell him I just saw you at the drive through and he says "okay will let me go back on the order on the computer and see who is right" REALLY? I waited in the drive through for 30 min and you want to see my receipt and now go back over your order? I tell him just give me a large fries and if it speeds you up I'll even pay for it again. He says "well okay, I give you a 10% discount" WOW. He disappears and now I get to wait another 6 minutes (yes I kept track). The young girl that earlier told me all the unfolding drama at the drive through window walks by and I tell her "do you think I could possible have my fries". She says "oh sure, let me check". She goes on to talk to all the other kids about how they are starting a new chat place which is all about the drama that is unfolding here at Dairy Queen with everyone giving notice and who already gave notice and who is still giving it. Oh. My.God. just give me my fries. Several minutes later I finally get my fries. I grab and run! This store needs to be sold, torn down or made into a shrine of the worse possible fast food joint in Silverton. The owner must really not care what so ever. They only hire unmotivated and slow as molasses people and the service is so horrible that I rather stick a fork in my eye before returning again. read more

If you're passing through Silverton and your time is limited, DO NOT STOP AT DAIRY QUEEN! The service is excruciatingly slow. Even if the place is empty, you should expect a long wait. If you order ice cream, don't be surprised to find it half melted. Also, never order fries because they are always either incredibly hot or cold, generally unsalted, and not cheap. read more

When did Silverton's Dairy Queen stop making a grilled cheese for kids? Adults for that matter? Sadly, when you have vegetarian children it was one way to get them to eat there. Not that it's mandatory, but the manager was absolutely unwilling to have the cook put two buns around a piece of cheese for me. Kids crying, the whole deal. The slowest Dairy Queen you will ever go to. Sometimes we will be the only people in line, it won't be busy inside, there will be 3+ workers inside, and it can still take 20 minutes for two ice creams. At first I thought it was a bad day but we won't even go there anymore after several visits taking 20+ minutes for simple orders. Have never had slower fast food! read more

I had the worst experience at this Dairy Queen today. I returned my burger because it had a hair in it. I was yelled at by the employee behind the grill that I would have to wait 5 minutes, that other order were more important, offering no apology for the hair. I waited 10 minutes at the counter and the person behind the grill once again yelled at me that she was too busy and I'd have to wait. When I asked if I could make a complaint the manager came out, which happened to be the person that was yelling behind the grill. She continued to yell at me, saying she was not yelling. Such a romantic setting -- though I've never been inside. I have to say -- the world's SLOWEST fast food restaurant this side of the Mississippi. You could be the only car in the drive thru line and still wait fifteen minutes for a single cheeseburger. If you employ patience as your servant, consider this a serviceable joint. Imagine yourself being a worker there, and both drive-thru and lobby is slammed. You're running like a chicken with it's head cut off, trying to satisfy customers needs, but there isn't enough people to do that. Imagine you're the person who has to tell the customers you're out of something, and you can't do anything about it but apologize and hope that they at least semi-understand. Hoping they won't bash on you, that they have some sort of respect. DQ isn't McDonald's where your order is handed to you within seconds. They are required to cook your food for a certain length of time. Chicken and fish sandwiches take a bit longer, and unless you enjoy getting sick, be patient. Sometimes they have orders before you. Chances are you aren't the only one there, so again, be patient. This will give you a better experience, trust me. read more

Friday, July 14, 2017 Dairy Queen 411 Westfield St Silverton, OR 97381 To Whom It May Concern, My niece, her friend and I went to Dairy Queen in Silverton, Oregon on Friday, July 14, 2017. As we came into the building, we proceeded to wait in line. Four employees stood by the drive-thru window while they laughed and socialized. One of the employees finally noticed the line in the lobby and came over, acting very inconvenienced, she asked if we had been helped. When we told her that we had not been helped she came over to the counter acting put out that she had to help us. My niece ordered a medium, Banana Split Blizzard with extra fruit as I continue to look at the menu. The girl taking our order explained to my niece that it might be a little runny due to the extra fruit. My niece agreed that would be okay that she would really enjoy the extra. As I waited for my Blizzard, a UPS driver ordered a soda. She gave the cashier exactly $5.09. The cashier did not give her change. When the UPS woman inquired about her change, the cashier was very rude to her and told her she did not make a mistake. As I stood by waiting, I watched the cashier handle the money, and instead of following health codes and washing her hands, she went straight to making my Blizzard. I took my Blizzard, bewildered, but did not mention anything and went to sit down at the table. I asked my niece how her Blizzard was and she responded, "Not great, I was hoping for some extra fruit since that is what I ordered. I told her, "No problem, I will go up to the counter and explain that I ordered and paid for extra fruit." I took the Blizzard to the counter where a young man was at the register. I explained the situation. The young man was very polite he said, "So sorry for the inconvenience. Go ahead and have this one and we will bring you another one." Not two minutes later, a woman with a headset on her head came to our table and demanded to get the Blizzard. I mentioned to her that the man behind the counter said we can have this one and he would bring us another one. She was extremely rude and snappy and proceeded to tell me he was wrong. Then she took it away from our table. A man with a beard and different attire from the rest of the staff came to our table with a small Banana Split Blizzard, and my niece's friend mentioned that she had ordered a medium size. He got very distraught and asked to see the receipt. I asked him if he was the manager and he replied that he was. I said "Oh good, I'd like to speak with you." I explained to him our experience and that I was very dissatisfied with the customer service. As I was telling him the events of our experience, he stood there so enraged and agitated that he was literally spilling the small Blizzard all over himself and the floor. As soon as I was finished speaking, he replied with, "Are you done", and I replied "Yes". As he turned around to walk away, he said, "Bitch!" When he returned to our table, I guess he felt he had a point to prove. He turned the Blizzard upside down over the table and Spills ¼ of it on our table, which happened to land on my keys and on the floor. He left the mess just the way it was until the end of my stay. He did not offer my niece another Blizzard or our money back. (Please note, we had already conceded in understanding, that this Blizzard would be runny) Before we left, I asked the manager what his name is and he replied, "I am not required to give out that information." I told him, "Actually you are." He asked, "By who?" I asked him for his supervisors business cared. He said, "He does not have one and that he would take a message." This is the reason I am writing you today. I wanted to inform you of what is happening within your establishment. Never again. Stopped there last night about 9:30 with a group of 17 after an event at the high school. Some people from another school had stopped there too. At 10 o'clock, with people in line who had been waiting for half an hour, they closed the kitchen. When I asked why they would shut down the grill with people standing in line, the teen behind the counter pointed at the clock and said "That's when we close." So the last half dozen or so were unable to order cooked food. And a few minutes later when the last order had been served they kicked out people who were still eating! Never again! read more

Worst service possible. One mini blizzard during a non-peak hour. Consistent 20 minute wait. No adult leadership.
