Have rude, lazy and an immature worker named Marissa working there. She's usually in the drive thru and is standing around doing absolutely nothing except talking and rolling her eyes when her job gets too difficult. Then she gets upset and acts rude when we had to walk over to her in the dining area where she was talking to one of her friends (completely ignoring the growing line at counter) to tell her that we were ready to order and of course played dumb about it. She then proceeded to leave our food and ice cream melting on the counter. Now when we go she does this immature behavior of leaving our food on the counter and will let It sit there. FREE CONE DAY (March 20th) is what enticed us to visit DQ for the first time since living in Midland. Originally I planned just to go through the drive-thru but the line literally only will hold 2 cars then it backs up onto Wall Street so we decided to dine-in. There was one employee that stood out the most, Chaka. She was working the counter and was AWESOME! She has an amazing personality and is perfect for this job! We received a warm "Welcome to DQ" upon entering, she was very engaging with the kiddos and came by and chatted with us numerous times during the visit. Most fast food workers I've come in contact with here in Midland wont even smile. You can really tell Chaka loves what she does! It was a breathe of fresh air in this grumpy ol' town. The kids really loved their ice cream cone. Being lactose intolerant, I just got a soft drink. The dining area was fairly clean. The floor was a little dirty/dusty (probably from oil field worker's boots) but Chaka started taking care of it during our visit. This gal does it all! Honestly, the unbelievable customer service will result in us visiting DQ again! We'll have to come back to try the food next time! As the song goes, "DQ, that's what I like about Texas." read more

Been coming here for such a long time. I'm pregnant with my first and my biggest craving is the snickerdoodle blizzard. I LOVE eating the snickerdoodle cookie dough with the ice cream. Always made it perfectly. I think they recently got a new employee, a young man. Yesterday I went there and asked for a large snickerdoodle cookie dough blizzard. The guy questioned the choice but made it. To my surprise there was no snickerdoodle, just plain cookie dough. I was upset, but could just be pregnancy hormones because I do love cookie dough blizzards. I ate it, whatever. Today is my birthday and I wanted one again, so my brother and my fiancé went to get me one. This time they left out the words "cookie dough" since it might've confused the kid. Got the blizzard, and there was plenty of snickerdoodle seasoning but no snickerdoodle cookie dough. I'm upset of course, my biggest pregnancy craving being made wrong twice. I'm not necessarily mad at the kid since he appears to be new, but they definitely should teach new employees the menu better. I am so disappointed with Dairy Queen in West Texas in general. Both Midland and Odessa have both gone to fabricated meat. I thought that Dairy Queen was known for 100% Texas Raise Beef! We went there a couple of days ago and mentioned to the worker taking our order about Odessa's Dairy Queen having fake meat that smelled like ammonia, and she just shrugged her shoulders. My husband said the meat looked like it came out of a cake decorator. Like it had been squeezed out and frozen. I will add a photo of one if I can find one. I went to the Dairy Queen in Midland to get ice cream blizzards for me and my grandchildren on our special family day we get twice a month (we usually go to dairy queen). We got one smarties blizzard and two strawberry cheesecake blizzards. while eating his blizzard my grandchild Miles started to complain to me about the flavour and texture saying that there was little rocks in his ice cream, I examined his blizzard and i started pulling out what I thought was rocks but after I dryed them off with my napkins I noticed that they were actually rat faeces. I recently went to the dairy queen on West Wall Street and ordered a 6 piece steakfinger combo. I received my order and returned to work. To find that they only gave me a 4 piece combo so I return to the store to have them correct it. Instead of making it fresh. They proceeded to refry the 4 steakfingers and add 2 more. They were overcooked and hard. Then to make matters worse, I attempted to call the restaurant 5 times and no answer. The thing that really sucks, I eat there all the time. DONT EAT AT THIS DAIRY QUEEN. Usually I prefer the DQ on Big Spring and Florida, but I was close to this one on Wall St, so I gave them a another chance. I ordered thru the drive thru and took my lunch back to work about 2 minutes away. My fries were undercooked and translucent. I threw them away. My burger was half-assed put together. The un-melted cheese was on the bottom bun then my cold meat patty on top, a chunk of onion and the end of a tomato with a huge handful of dry lettuce completed it. The bun was cold as well. They told me they where closed and the lady that told me wasent even in an employee uniform and they where behind the counter didn't even have gloves on or a hair net and they where taking orders and literally had people eating in the Lobby and there website says they close at 11 and we got there at 10:15 very poor service. It's okay. The tacos are usually warm and made quickly and they never get my order wrong too too often - buuuuut. The lines are always super long. I try to only come here for blizzards. Those are worth the trip for sure when you have an ice cream craving. read more

No complaints here all we ordered was cookie dough blizzards. They were good and the drive thru line moved pretty quick I would go back.

The person serving us, Felix, acted as if it were a chore to do so. He did not greet us, and he didn't even bother listening to my wife's order. His badge had a trainer sticker affixed to it as well, so if he is training future employees, service will really go down hill. We got blizzards, and they were okay. It seemed Felix didn't want to put enough ice cream in mine. I don't think we'll be going back to this DQ. read more

I was heading to the airport and needed a quick dinner before I boarded a plane for Seattle. The drive through line was out to the road. I parked and walked in. I wanted to order something relatively healthy. I looked for a veggie burger, they didn't have one. So I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with mustard , lettuce and tomato. I also asked for a milk and asked if they had apple wedges, you know like McDonalds and the answer was no even to milk at Dairy Queen. Twenty minutes later I got my sandwich. When I got to the car I unwrapped it, it had a ton of mayo which i didn't order and the tiniest tomato you have ever seen and 4 slivers of shredded lettuce. The grilled chicken was slimy and rubbery and bun soggy. I had to run so I couldn't run back in to comment. In this day and age we know about health and healthy food choices. Dairy Queen what are you doing to contribute to good health? Theres no excuse for such poor choices and service. The manager was even out helping. read more
