Yummy Chocolate ice cream dipped in butterscotch
Mu R.

A good small ice cream spot to hang out with family and friends. They have some tables on the side of the building to chill and enjoy your ice cream.

Pretty cool place in MUNDELEIN on Lake Street to grab some chocolate ice cream during this hot weather

Vanilla cone and swirl cones

Came here with my parents on free cone day. The workers were really nice and although one cone came out slightly malformed, every bite was enjoyed. The location here is pinnacle suburbia. We decided to walk around the neighborhood while we ate and greeted so many people who were drawn outside by the good weather. Smiles everywhere - I was in shock!! Definitely drop by this location on a sunny day to experience this friendly phenomenon for yourself

The delicious brownie batter blizzard that my husband Gary and I and our adorable baby fefe shared ‍.

My husband Gary and I and our adorable baby fefe ‍ wanted desert after dinner so we wanted to get Dairy Queen and we got a large brownie batter blizzard and omg it was so delicious. Dairy Queen always has such yummy ice cream, no matter what ice cream it is or what ice cream we get it's always sooo yummy and delicious. Dairy Queen keep up the great work with your ice cream because it's always so delicious!

Horrible service. Food is worse. Would give negative stars if possible. Ice cream was half melted in the display. Not a good sign.

The $6 meal deals are nice - my kids LOVE their "BLizzards" and enjoy their burgers. Consistent quality.

Twisted Burger - Vernon Hills - The burgers were great. The fries could be a bit crispier but still, everything was yummy.

We got the Cali burger which had avocado and bacon and I'm forgetting the name now but one with a fried egg and bacon. The buns on the burger were so good (I think they're brioche buns from Turano) - soft with a good bite. And the loaded fries we got were also delicious with green onions, bacon bits, cheese, and some sour cream. I learned that the fries are made in-house not bought frozen and pre-cut. Next time, I would just get regular fries bc they're so good as is! Would love to go back to try the smoothies. Everything seems to be made with care and quality at Twisted Burger and can't wait to go back.

El Zorro burger-- this was really good. There's a beef patty under the chorizo, so the chorizo flavor wasn't overpowering. Sauce is also not overpowering and not greasy. The large fries is definitely pretty large. The cuts are of potato without additional coating before frying so the flavor is of potato itself and added seasoning afterwards. I prefer it this way since the oil soaked ones are soft and delicious, but my kiddos prefer more crispy and crunchy end pieces. The Baja fish naan is still our favorite. Because of the loaded fresh veggies. Would come back to this local POC owned establishment to try more of their shakes and burgers!

Over the railroad tracks and down the street, to Teddy O'Brians we go…read more.. It truly is kind of off the beaten path. This is a place for regulars. Our Burger Club visited on a Thursday night not knowing local artists came for an open mic night. It's a tiny place with tables crammed in at every angle and wherever they could put them. We grabbed a table unbeknownst to us in front of the open mic area. Some of the acts were good and some not so good. And they clearly had a following. One of the more interesting decor choices are the LPs that adorn the walls. Not the records themselves, but the LP jackets and covers. They're on the walls and they looked as if they were placed on the walls when they were first purchased as they were properly aged for their timeframe (classic rock mostly). We all had the burgers (hence the burger club). The burgers and fries were reasonably good. We had also ordered wings as an appetizer to share and they were very good. What surprised me the most was that there was one bartender/server and one cook in the kitchen. That was it and the bartender/server was johnny-on-the-spot. She took our order, served our drinks, checked on us, and repeated the process for all the other tables (all were taken) and all the patrons at the bar. I was amazed at how hard she and the cook worked, despite the number of people, The burgers were okay, the wings were pretty good. But the service was hands down some of the best we had and the venue was welcoming to us outsiders into their open mic wonderland. Go for the food and stay for the atmosphere and terrific service!

From the time I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who was very nice and same with the bartender Cary. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and is a great date place! There is some great views of the water too and this would be a great place in the summertime! The wedge salad was very good with their homemade dressing and same with the short rib pasta which was more than ample for two people. They only serve gelato, but the salted caramel gelato was hands down the best I've ever had! Cary made a fantastic French martini too! What also impressed me was the locals that were very friendly and made the evening even more enjoyable. If you are in the area, I would definitely stop by and have a fantastic meal, cocktail gelato like I did. This restaurant definitely earned their five stars!

Our food was outstanding. We shared an assortment of appetizers (snacks). The Frutti Di Mare was excellent. We wished that the cannellini hummus came with more vegetables and less bread. It was hard to pick from the selection of craft cocktails, they all sounded exceptional. I went with the Moon Flower and it was delicious! Tito's, elderflower, violette, and lemon. A must stop location.

Not the tourist traps, but more like the small neighborhood places where they can't risk cutting corners. The menu is simple and you don't need much time to pick your order. Its a place where you are probably appreciated if you walk in knowing what you want. That's also authentic to Philadelphia, as I remember. I ordered a classic with ribeye, and provolone. A side of fries and a drink. Drinks are self-serve from the fountain, so I filled my cup and grabbed a table. Only a few minutes later, I had my order. The steak was great.. Plenty of cheese and onion, and on a nice, chewy roll. Look, it's a cheesesteak. Just a darned good, basic cheesesteak. I am not going to attempt to wax poetic about some time in Philly when such and such happened before a Dead Milkmen show, or something. The fries were solid as well. Medium cut and cooked to have a good mix of crispy fries mixed in. They also have a house-made hot sauce that is pretty darned good on the sandwich. If you want an unpretentious meal and are short on time, this is a great option. Good food, fast service and reasonably priced. Give them a try. If you're not a snob, you're gonna like it.
