A quick and casual deli restaurant with tasty options! You cannot go wrong with the Caesar wrap or the pecan berry salad! Yum!! Service is very friendly!

Dessert my husband had

Just moved to the area and had the most fabulous experience. We ate here for a late lunch and there were only two workers so we had to wait a little bit; this did not bother us as I use to work for this corporation many years ago. The staff was busy at work and very kind. The place was very clean and the ambience was quiet. I had the pick two. The half Italian on gf browns was just the right amount to go with my GF veggie spud. Absolutely will be back. Pro-tip they have a drive thru if you want to eat on the run.

I feel bad giving a bad review, but my experience here is really subpar. Ordering-- their ordering app is via ubereats as they don't have a dedicated app, so the ordering portal is via browser and kinda slow, as the tea loading icon just keeps spinning when I try to add to the order. There are a lot of buttons to customize, but it's not too difficult once you figure out the set up. Windowside pickup-- this was quite disappointing. I ordered for pick up at 7pm on a Friday, and arriving there exactly on the dot, no one is at the window. I look inside and it seemed so empty. Granted the parking lot is pretty empty too. There's no bells to ring, I waited a bit, and decided just go in, wondering if they are even open. Inside was very spacious, lots of seating but almost entirely empty on a Friday evening. It could be because the location is hard to get to, as only the right lane traffic can turn in, and it's pretty difficult to exit out of the location. It's situated right outside a living facility, so I hope the residents there will keep the store running because there's barely anybody at this location. Food wise I was underwhelmed by the size and quality. My sandwiches were not toasted enough, barely lukewarm and kind of wet/soggy ish. It should've been freshly made, so unsure why the quality is poor. Possibly because there's just not a lot of customers, so the kitchen isn't fresh. I'm surprised by how they wrap the pickle on the oh side of the packaging, but it makes sense. I got the Spicy Turkey Melt, which I can barely taste the spicy sauce. In fact, I can barely taste any flavor other than what the ingredients are. I tried their McAlister's Sweet Tea, but could only taste the sweet and not tea; it's basically sugar water, and a lot of it. My husband was fine with the Memphian sandwich, there's plenty of cuts and the mustard flavor comes through strong. Salt and vinegar chip was very sour but also flavorful. Brookie was good; not as crunchy but the cookie portion is soft. Not really impressed. Maybe if I were to give it another try, I might get the spuds.

This place was an escape for me to get away and wind down from a workplace I hated. Fell in love with the unsweetened ice tea and kept coming back. You can plan a lower sodium meal here by checking the ingredients and making sure you know how much you are eating the shallot salad dressing is the lowest you can get at this location. There is no vinegar and oil available at the tables. And if you ask them for it often they are unable to provide it. Which I find very sad. The service today was great, but not always the case at this location in this worker strapped environment.

First time at a new church today and I was invited to lunch by the pastor and several other people. It seems McAlister's is one of their go to places. It is a nice looking place with counter ordering and table service. They are apparently known for their sweet tea, which I passed on as I prefer unsweetened tea and not diabetes in a cup. The unsweetened tea was really good though. I had a spicy southwest chicken sandwich and a fruit cup side. It was a good choice as the sandwich was pretty tasty though nothing too special. It was good enough that I will gladly go back with this group from my new church it won't necessarily seek it out on my own as I tend to prefer locally owned smaller places. Still good though.

Grilled cheese that wasn't cheesy :(

The grilled cheese needs to be a bit better the cheese is not really cheesy and the bread is to soft don't get me wrong i like the bread it taste good but the grilled cheese needs to be a grilled cheese it didn't look like it had efforts in it but pretty place have a good day :)

Choose 2

Choose 2 for the win! The spicy southwest chicken sandwich was great. I usually gravitate toward combos at restaurants like this, and McAlister's 1/2 sandwich is definitely larger in both size and fillings than Panera's. For the other half of the combo, I chose the 1/2 Southwest chicken and avocado salad, which I also really enjoyed. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the people behind the counter were very helpful and friendly.

Food was great, service was perfect! the ambiance was perfect! Maria was the great worker! she helped a lot and wasn't disrespectful and she's the kind of worker everybody needs ! thank you again maria !! we will be coming again !

Garden Fresh Turkey

I got the choose 2 with a Garden Fresh Turkey, and the potato soup. When reaching into the bag I was greeted with a warm sandwich while I was under the impression that it was supposed to be cold, as that's how the images and menu made it seem. Not to mention they didn't even put the tomatoes on my sandwich. The lady taking my order wasn't very friendly or understanding.

Avocado BLT

We can all tell how much pride the workers have in the company by looking at the pic of my avocado BLT, right? Yikes.

Service was good. Place was clean. Food was just okay. Missing some of the more classic deli foods.

Talked to the owners, who are just the people you want there to be in the world. They gave us a little sample of hot corned beef while we waited for the magic. Melt in your mouth deckle, after battling chewy or tough fat from other places, felt like my long-lost love coming home from the sea. We ate the sandwich in the car and talked about how great it was to have a beloved food item that was just perfection, like knowing there was something out there in the world that would always make you happy. 10/10, no notes. The pickles plucked on the strings of my heart, thinking about the old pickle barrels from The Milk Pail and other places long gone. "Next time I see you I'll be looking at you." We'll be back soon.

Why does Long Grove always feel like some magical far away place when it's really much closer to me…read morethan most places I go? It's probably because of spots like this. When my yelp friends check-in places I always take a peek and add the interesting stuff to my massive and unorganized list of anything and everything I could ever want to try... this place popped up a few times, and I do love good pastries, so I had to make a trip. I say pastries but what really sold me was the pizza slice a buddy got, a savory excuse always helps. I got there before the dinner rush. I know that because it was calm when I got in line, though the line was full. When I left the place was crowded. There are actually 2 lines. One for savory and one for sweet. So like I said, I was here for that pizza slice... and I got it. I'm not sure if they make more throughout the day but there were just a few slices left that I could see. Score! But I do want to say that the more filling pasta dishes and such look AMAZING. I saw gorgonzola garlic bread and had to try that as well... and an arancini. Everything really looked so good, I wanted it all. It's a good thing I love bread because I ate a lot of it here! Great flavor and texture on the garlic bread, I love the little funk from the cheese. Arancini was fried up nicely and didn't retain excess oil. The slice is really good. It's a fair warning that it's about 90% bread, but I understand they make their own dough here and it shows. The crust is so crispy and airy, it's a nice experience. Next up, dessert. I grabbed a Nutella croissant and some gelato, both delicious! The gelato was rich and creamy. The croissant, which they fill to order with your choice of flavors, is another flex on how good their dough and bread baking skills are. Perfect texture, no notes. Would and will eat again. Amazing atmosphere that feels like a quick vacation, and outdoor tables perfect for the warm season. Friendly and inviting staff as well, they tried to sell me on the pear flavor gelato. Maybe next time. This is a not so hidden gem of a spot and a must try for bread lovers! I'll be back soon for pasta and more!

Most every dish was very dry or doughy. The cannoli's were fried too hard almost like egg rolls. We didn't realize till we got home that our daughter's dessert was missing after verifying three times with the staff what we ordered. If you're looking for Italian food skip this place. *** Almost forgot. Get rid of the young kids that are servers. They have no idea what they're doing. They seem very confused. Food was not brought out in a timely manner and Luke warm when we received it. Also re organize how you check out it can be very confusing with the impatient and hot headed customers that Dine there.
