I ordered a chili dog combo with a large chocolate shake no whipped cream. I got two chili dogs with barely any chili flipped upside down in the bag with the chili in the container instead of on the hotdog, with no utensils, and a medium shake with whipped cream. Server had poor attitude and when I asked if that was a large shake, she said yes which was incorrect. Out of curiosity when I got home, I found online how many ounces is in each size shake. A large is 21 ounces and I was given a 16 ounce cup which is the size of a medium. Won't be going back there for such poor service and quality! read more

I ordered 2 smalls with sprinkles. I was handed one with sprinkles and one without. I asked for sprinkles to be put on the second one (can't give one kid sprinkles and not the other) and they said they had to charge me. I say, "ok" assuming it'll be $0.25 or even $0.50 but it was $1.05 for a small spoonful of sprinkles. Had to be nickel and dimed like that by a corporation. This is one of the busiest location. The line is typically long but the employees are patient and make your order better. I have never seen the drive thru without the long queue. Sometimes the line extends till the entrance of the plaza. Be prepared for the long wait be it in-store or drive thru. They seem to prioritize the drive thru. Walk-ins take longer time. They do not serve if you cannot make it to the backside of the building before the closing. I have seen few cars being sent even after waiting in the queue. They have kept hoardings mentioning the same. We have had hit and miss visits. They don't add any toppings for banana split. They do not entertain points / rewards in this location. They do have curbside pick up for faster service. Phone lines are always busy, can only place online orders. They hardly have ice-cream cakes readily available. Indoor seating has been closed due to Covid. They do have outdoor seating. Treats are good and the service is decent. read more

Conveniently the closest Dairy Queen to my house. I don't think I've ever been to a bad DQ they are quite consistent in their quality. What I like about this location is the line goes behind the buildings in the plaza so you don't have to worry about lining up on the street like other locations I've been to (looking at your Dearborn). The only issue I've ever had was when making a drive thru pick up. The Blizzards often extend outside the rim of the cups and then start melting inside the car. I honestly am just disappointed in what this franchise has come to. The only appeal they hold is that they are open in the winter. I don't understand why anyone would go there in summer when you can go a couple minutes down the road to get a cone for a fraction of the price with double the ice cream! Sadly, this is my least favorite Dairy Queen. We've been there 12 times (I don't know why I kept going back). Ten of the times my family went we ordered a blizzard. Nine of the times we received them it was blended on the top (about 1/4 of the blizzard) and the bottom 3/4 was just plain vanilla ice cream. After the 10th try I decided to switch to something else. Ordered a Sundae with extra fudge, and it came with what I would expect if you ordered light fudge. So the next time I thought maybe I needed to ask for double? Grr . . . Service and quality here is hit or miss. On this particular visit, it was miss. For a small cone dipped in chocolate and nuts, it costs nearly what a peanut buster parfait costs. Had I known the person making cones didn't know how to make a proper cone or dip it, I would have ordered the parfait. The young lady at the drive-thru was surprised when I sent the first cone back because it was tiny, and 1/3 of it didn't have any topping at all. The second version that came out is the one I took a picture of. It almost looked like they'd taken the first cone, pulled the topping off it and re-dipped it, covering more of it this time. A cone that looks like that should never be served to a customer, but it was. Over the past few decades, I have visited many different Dairy Queen locations in the Metro Detroit area. Some are very good, while others are lacking to say the least. The service at this location is either hit or miss, and more often than not it's miss. Twice in the past year, I have visited this location and made an order, only have it screwed up by the person at the counter. The first time I wanted a Mister-Misty slush in Lemon-Lime, and I was served Grape instead. The person behind the counter said, "no, this is what you ordered." The two people behind me said I asked for Lemon-Lime in the first place. Secondly, on my most recent visit, I wanted a Hot-Fudge Sundae, with no nuts, and I emphasized this fact more than once. Sure enough my order was totally screwed up. I received crushed peanuts on my sundae! I could understand a mix-up at the order window in the drive-in, but since there was no traffic at the time, it wasn't a case of a simple mix-up. This was just plain incompetence! Finally, if you enjoy going to the local DQ, make sure you use your cellphone to record your order, especially at this location, as you never know how they will mess-up your order. read more

This is the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. I usually get a hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge. I paid for the extra amount. What I got was what a normal amount of hot fudge looks like at any other Dairy Queen. I asked the person for extra hot fudge and she said I had to pay for it. I told her I'd already paid for extra and she told me that was the extra amount and I'd have to pay again for more. It was ridiculous . I visited this nightmare of a Dairy Queen today. I went through the drive through. Upon being greeted by a male employee, I asked for a moment to order because I had my entire family with me and needed time to get everyone's order in the vehicle. I was then told after about 30 seconds that if I wasn't prepared to order I need to pull over because "there are other customers waiting" in the midst of me trying to give my order. I pulled up to the window and asked for the male employees name and for the corporate phone number. The female who was at the window screamed "no I'm not giving you that information" and slammed the window shut. I then parked and went into the Dairy Queen where I was told by the male that was working the drive thru that he would not give me his name. I told him that he is working with the public and is required to provide me that information so that I could file a complaint with corporate. (No one was wearing a name tag at the location). He then reluctantly gave me the name "Moe" and I asked what is his real first name and he said Mohammad. Another man walked up to the counter and claimed to be the manager. He was not apologetic and also refused to give me corporates number initially. I told him as the manager (if he was the manager which I'm unsure of) he was obligated to provide me with that information. He left and came back and handed me a sticky note with the following number (452) 830-0200 which i proceeded to call while still standing at the counter. The number was a non working number. I told him the number isn't corporates phone number. I asked for the female employees name that slammed the window on me and they refused to give her name. She then walked into view and I asked her name and she began screaming at me and screamed her name is jalisa and how I should've been ready to order and that I'm rude and continued to scream while flailing her arms and acting crazy. She then asked me if i wanted to fight by repeatedly saying "you want to go for some?" Because i told her you work in customer service and you're behaving this way. She was then pulled to the back from sight. Another man who I hadn't previously seen, whom I believe could've really been the manager came up front and came up to me and apologized and said that he would get the number for corporate for me. I waited a few minutes and he brought me the number. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I cannot believe how i was treated and talked to. These people don't know how to behave in public let alone in a job that requires customer service. They are rude, belligerent and downright nasty. I have never ever reported anyone to the corporation but I felt it was absolutely necessary so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I had a small Oreo cookie blizzard from this DQ and it was delicious. I forget how good these are especially during the warmer months. It took 30 minutes from order to receiving the ice cream because the line was wrapped around the building. The line kept moving so I didn't mind the wait. So after a long long time I decided to go through Dairy Queen and get a chilli dog and a malt drink. I used to get them regularly growing up in Massachusetts back in the day. On the north east corner /south east corner of Canton Center Road and Cherry Hill road sits this particular DQ in a small strip mall. The drive thru is accessed from the back, so I drove up and this lady greets me over the intercom and takes my order. I said, 2 chilli dogs please, and a medium butterscotch malt. And there was silence. After a minute or so, she answers back. Sorry sir we do not have butterscotch. Matter of fact we have never had butterscotch. Imagine my surprise, when I am being told by a DQ employee over the intercom, that "we have never had any butterscotch" which was one of the happening flavors of the mid to late 1980's and the 1990's. So she suggests the caramel malt instead. I go with the order, saddened at my fate, of never having the nice creamy flavor of the butterscotch malt ever again to visit my taste buds. And I drove up to the window, and the same lady took my debit card for payment again assured me, she has never heard of the butterscotch malt at a DQ, and she has worked here about 10 years. So then the wait period began. After about 5 minutes of me sitting in the drive thru twiddling my thumbs a young boy about sixteen opens the window and hands me the bag containing the chilli dogs. And thanks me, about to close the window...when I blutter out..."I also ordered a medium caramel malt drink". This just goes to show, newer does not mean better! I really hate the fact that I feel like a burden on the ditsy, fake, 15 year old girls who are usually on the drive through headset and window. I'm a very polite, outgoing and courteous person, especially when ordering because I've worked food service in a few different places, therefore I have empty. My empathy turns into frustration however, when these teenagers who have no sense of customer service or respect, talk to me like I'm their wicked step mother who forbade them to go to the mall. I can't comment about the quality of the goods as others have because we never got ours. We were driving down Canton Center and got a hankering for a Wendy's frosty, but as we approached Cherry Hill I remembered the Dairy Queen and suggested to my husband that we try it instead. We pulled in and noticed another car waiting at the drive thru window. We pulled around to place our order and were greeted with a giggly girl who was obviously more concerned about talking to her friends inside than dealing with us. We placed an order for one cone and one dipped cone, were given a total and pulled around. The other car was still sitting at the window. We waited. And waited some more. Eventually they received their food. Oddly enough money was exchanged afterwards which I think lends to poor time management on the employee's part. We pull up to the window, and sit there. And sit there some more. And yet more. Nobody even came to the window to acknowledge us. We saw an employee working the front counter talking to a girl behind her (presumably the one who was supposed to be helping us). My husband tried to wave to get her attention. No go. Two stupid ice cream cones - all of 1 minute of prep - yet nobody could bother getting them to us. We left and went to Wendy's to get the dang frosties. They were half the price, and we didn't have to deal with idiot teenagers. Management: it's fine to hire teens, but you can't leave them alone to run your shop. read more
