The customer service is awful. The place is just helter skelter! The steak fingers aren't really steak, right? like ground meat possibly leftover burger meat, they're mushy & way undercooked. Instead of taking their time for good quality food & great customer service. THAT is your JOB, a job you chose. The tacos I love except at this location they are cold & greasy. Zero stars. Workers tell you to park out front for your order during drive thru and forget because they are all to busy hanging out outside chit chatting. Pretty sure one female was the manager since her uniform was black instead of blue. Went inside to request a refund but she was giggling with all the employees instead. Would NOT recommend. I have never felt the need to make a review but waiting almost 20 minutes for a half melted mini blizzard and a medium drink with one other car in line is INSANE. As a food service worker I would understand being busy, but right off the bat taking too long to even take the order, rude tone when taking, and then having to re-ask the order when getting to the window, come on now. I must preface this by saying the person working the counter was cheerful and pleasant, even if the rest of the experience was not so much. We pulled into this DQ on the way to Dallas for a weekend get away and wanted a quick treat on the way. Little did I know they would have to pluck the chicken for my basket before they cooked it! After waiting a bit for our orders to complete, I get out to the car to find 4 boxes of various items. 2 contained chicken strips that were so hot we had to wait 20 minutes for them to cool off before we attempted to eat them. The other 2 contained fries and what should have been texas toast but was really just a piece of white bread slabbed with butter and thrown in the box. The chicken was ok, after it cooled down, but was actually better when it was cold. ive been to better DQ's before, and probably won't be back to this one. read more

This is the WORST Dairy Queen I've ever been to. I'm a native Texan and live by the Texas Stop Sign saying. I typically love Dairy Queen for their dip cones and nice break from a long drive. Cleanliness: Playground - After my two children played on the playground I had to use an entire packet of wipes to clean the black soot off their feet, legs, and arms. Bathrooms - My suggestion is to hold it until the next stop. A port-o-potty at the end of a week long music festival would be cleaner. Outside patio - Trash was overflowing from the trash can. I put my waste on top of the pile with flies swarming. Food: Selection - Several things I asked for they didn't have. Tater tots, they were out. Suggested I try the sweet potato tots, which was a mistake. I tried one, and wouldn't eat another because they were gross. They were out of medium cups so they gave me a small instead, downsize = no good. They were out of kid ice cream cones, so they gave me a small, upsize = ok. Their fancy soft drink machine with all the cool flavors was out of everything except for Orange Fanta. Luckily they had an old fashion coke fountain drink behind the counter. Taste - The chicken on my grilled chicken sandwich was chewy and had gristles. Sweet potato tots were gross, possibly from freezer burn. The fresh brewed tea tasted more like day old fresh brewed tea. In conclusion, do not stop at this Dairy Queen. The health inspector should shut it down. read more

For the second time in recent weeks, I have ordered hamburgers from the drive-thru window only to get home and discover there were no vegetables on the burgers. I called the DQ and was told to return to the restaurant and my order would be corrected or replaced. Returning to correct or replace an order is extremely inconvenient. I could not return today but will try to return tomorrow. This second no-veggie SNAFU was preceded by an incorrect number of burgers received just last week and a "no-meat" SNAFU in weeks prior. Is it going to be necessary for customers to begin taking their burgers apart on site prior to leaving the restaurant to insure the order is accurate??? I feel like Dairy Queen owes me money after my visit. Bathroom was from a horror movie, dirty restaurant all over. Drink machine was broken, credit card machine was broken. Was told I had to order a small or large drink because they ran out of medium cups, this was before I knew the drink machine was broken. The building was new-ish and had a play area for the kids to burn off some energy during our road trip, so we stopped. The workers were not too friendly but not exactly rude. There was no ice in the machine and the food was disgusting. Lukewarm bland hamburgers, further chilled by soggy lettuce and tomatoes. French fries weren't bad, all 5 of them (how do you mess up fries though) and they said I couldn't have nuts on the hot fudge Sunday without paying more (separate transaction- I get it). It's a DQ what could be wrong? The location is close to the interstate easy to get to and leave. The employees address very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. They even get your order right as busy as they are. The blizzards are great the root beer floats bring back memories. The ice cream hadn't changed in decades. read more

Personally we work with what they give us. We are getting better, we have new workers an we're at the best we've been in a long time. We have customers that will search to see if I am there an will leave if not we are all gaining our usual customers. Hooks Dairy Queen, we may not be the prettiest but we make sure our customers are taken care of if you have an issue with your order grab one of us an we'll be happy to fix it and bring it with a smile....I used to not eat there but now that I do work there I eat there because I know that even if they mess up my order all I have to do is say something an they get right on it. The staff was indifferent here, at best. I ordered a chicken basket and it took a bit longer than I would have liked. I was willing to overlook that, however. Food was a bit bland, but it wasn't bad. What really made me angry was when I went back to order dessert. I ordered a peanut butter blast. The girl who took my order tried to make it after a few minutes, but then another cashier/worker apparently said to her it wasn't right. They tossed it and after a couple of minutes, the other girl began to make another one. She started, left it sitting on the counter, and went to go make other orders. Well over four minutes later, she finally came back to my dessert and finished it. When she handed it to me, the ice cream on the bottom was already melted and soupy (I wonder if she thought the HOT fudge wouldn't melt ICE CREAM?). If I had wanted hot fudge and peanut butter in cold milk, I could have made that at home for a lot less than four bucks. Pathetic. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Before we get in the door we have to hop over a puddle of water. I look up at the menu and am impressed by the extras I haven't seen at any Dairy Queen around me, so I am browsing the menu but the large spikey hair woman was rude. My daughter wanted the shrimp basket, something we don't have at the ones around us, so I ask the difference in the three choices, the large spikey hair woman very rudely responds "small, medium, large" I said well I get that but how much is in a small she said 20-25. Because we didn't decide quick enough she asked the short girl to take our order. This girl was very nice. On getting our order there is NO way there were 20 shrimp in that basket maybe about 12-15. On a side note they fry them with the tails on which surprised my daughter when she bit into the crunchy shell and tail. My sandwich was supposed to have just pickles but it also had lettuce. I asked for jalitos instead of fries and they flash fried them to the point of wet mush in the middle but black on the outside and they were all stuck together in 2 clumps. Crap is the best way to describe this diary queen. I live in hooks and this is 1 out of 2 fast food places we have. I have many, many bad stories about this place and its service. First, every time I go there they are always out of something. Whether is meat for the patties or fruit for the smoothies. I can never get exactly what I wanted to order. My next complaint is if you don't want to take 30 minutes for your food, go somewhere else. I ordered nachos and it took them 30 minutes to make this's do it was not busy. I went at 2 in the afternoon and no customers were there. How does that even happen? It's literally pouring cheese on chips. So if you want something more complex than just nachos, your gonna have to wait a very long, long time. They never answer their phones and if it's an hour or 30 minutes till closing, you better just be prepared to expect nothing. They are already closing the store down. I feel like this review is really nice compared to what this business is really like. I hate to say but I will never be going back. I'll just go the extra 10 miles to new Boston, if I crave some diary queen. There is a huge difference in quality between those two stores. read more
