Brenda L was the server who took my order. Per their suggestion I ordered the birria tacos which came with rice, beans, toppings and then a side of chips and salsa. The tacos were okay. I think coming from Texas I'm just used to food being more seasoned, but the meat was tender and the portions were generous. Now usually at a taco joint either the green or red salsa will be on the milder, less spicy side but here ?? If you like heat then you're in for a treat because oh my lord LOL. If you're looking for fresh, made to order food that can fill you up for less than $20 then come check them out!

The biggest downside of the visit were the restrooms. The smell in the men's room was atrocious. It literally almost made me vomit. I was told that the women's restroom was the same. The smell could be from the sign in the bathroom, which said to put toilet paper and paper towels in the trash, not the toilet. I hoped this was a joke, but it sure did not smell that way.

This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant. They do not make their own tortilla chips, however, which is just as well because normally I overeat those and have no room for my entree! My husband and I both ordered the beef burrito and I was pleased with the freshness of the burrito ingredients and noted that it was not loaded with a bunch of shredded cheese. We ordered ice tea and it was fresh brewed and refreshing. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. We would definitely return and try some more of their menu offerings. I was pleased to see on their menu too, that they served menudo on Saturdays as well as tamales. I would definitely return for that and give it a try.

Everything is made to order in their tiny kitchen and delivered with a smile. They have canned drinks and some Mexican sodas, but do not serve fountain drinks. Their prices are also very good! There are no chicken tenders at this place, so make sure picky kids are prepared for that!

The food was delicious and served hot and fresh. The prices were amazing for the food. Me and my wife both got the Friday special: 2 enchiladas with rice and beans. We were here on a Friday after a morning of rock-washing at Crater of Diamonds and needed a reprieve from the brutal heat. I had the Ranchero Special with chicken and my dining companion had 3 street tacos - Al Pastor and carne asada. First, the staff were gracious and efficient. Our server was particularly attentive while not being intrusive. The decor might seem gaudy, but I've seen similar at other Mexican restaurants with excellent food. It was a nice change of atmosphere after having spent a couple hours in gray, dust-brown troughs of mud and gravel, shoveling piles of rocks into a bucket to be washed in a vat of murky gritty water. Some reviewers have said the salsa was just plain tomatoey, but I really liked it -- it had some light heat and is similar to what I've had at many Arizona Sonoran-style Mexican restaurants. Maybe those reviewers were expecting jars of Chi Chi's or Pace-not-"made in New York City!?"-Picante. The Ranchero Special was fine. The flavor profile was a little one dimensional, particularly with their white queso on it. The sliced tomatoes added a bit of acidic balance to that. My dining companion said her corn tortilla street tacos were pretty tasty. The pork in the al pastor had a little fat in it, but there were also a few good chunks of sautéed pineapple there. We also had a limonado drink which was very refreshing and delicious. Overall, a good place to have a meal if you're in Murfreesboro, AR and have nowhere else to go.

Once we sat, we saw one other table of 4 people inside. It took 15 minutes for her to come out with salsa and chips and then she took our drink order. Sweet tea was good and topo chico was available. We ordered chicken fajitas, beef fajitas and chicken enchiladas. Their saving grace were the crispy chips and fresh salsa. Every time the door at entrance opened there is a VERY loud, startling beeping sound. It took over 45 min to get our food. Unfortunately, portions were lunch size and food was bland. Our server was confused and served the chicken fajitas stating they were steak. She brought out one plate at a time with 10 min in between each plate so everything was lukewarm warm by the time we finally got tortillas at the very end. All the staff seemed distracted by the rain storm. The tv inside the restaurant had "Bluey" cartoon on. I would not recommend this place unless you want to wait an hour and prefer bland Mexican food and a very casual atmosphere. We had to walk up to get our check. Very disappointed because other people's reviews sound very positive but unfortunately we did not have that experience today.
