Today was my mother in laws birthday, and we made arrangements to pick up fajitas from the place across the street. It wasn't until we were sitting at their window that we realized we left the cake I make her, at home 1.5 hours away. The reason I even realized it was I was looking at your building and thought, "oooo ice cream would go great with her ca- - ke" ‍ I almost cried, I spent half a of Saturday making it, but then I remembered watching TikTok's where a kid makes DQ ice cream cakes! So as soon as we got our fajitas I zoomed over to you guys! Y'all even had the Reece's Peanutbutter cake, which is her favorite candy. To top it off, the staff member running the register, and apparently the entire front of store had a nincompoop that paid with a big bill, for a single order, and the poor staff member had to deal with that. She never looked stressed, even after other people came in. She was friendly to her, the next customer and me, turns out she had worked a double on Saturday, and was back on Sunday with a smile on her face and a great attitude. Mom LOVED the ice cream cake, and shared that in her 83 years, she'd never had ice cream cake before, it's just the two of them so after we ate I sliced the cake up and we put it in the freezer, once it's frozen solid she's going to put each slice in zip bags, or plastic wrap so they can grab a piece when ever they want. When all was said and done I took my tray up to the counter because I didn't see a trash can and was asked by the young lady why he didn't just throw it away. Decent place to grab a quick bite or drink or soft serve treat! Really good local customers!! I was on the way back home, stopped at a much more popular place to find huge lines! Thus went on and popped in here. Place was clean, customers happy and service was solidly good (eye contact, helpful with order, relatively friendly and efficient)! Plenty of parking and could be easily seen from the highway ramp. There were 5 groups of customers here and they all seemed like locals. What is significant, all had great manners, socially aware and exceptionally courteous to others! (Cleaned up after themselves, pushed in chairs, moved tables back where they were, were friendly, maintained control over small kids, got out of the way of others in lines and held doors open for others. I mention this as these are old time Texas values and that have gotten lost in this age of "Me First". Their values help make a place nice to visit! They have a Freestyle soft drink machine which has great small ice nuggets, but the Coke never tastes like the older soft drink machine versions. I had the Lemonade-Orange Fanta variation. The food was quickly prepared and well presented. They brought it out to the table I had a DQ Beef Taco Salad and 3 beef tacos. Hot stuff was hot and cold stuff cold. The DQ Taco sauce is good (sweet, somewhat spicy, good flavor, and 4 of 5 packets could be opened without scissors). Price was cheap. Wish the DQ by me was more like this one! read more

If you posted a negative review with one star for "not being friendly and not greeting the customers at the door", please return again and judge them on the service and the food. I don't think it's a requirement to greet people as they walk in, but sounds like you are expecting it. Please rate them on food, service and cleanliness. Oh, and by the way, the store is hard to find, in my opinion because they put the sign parallel to the street instead of perpendicular. It makes it very hard to find. Clean and friendly restaurant. Great variety of food. Located just of Interstate 35. I had the chicken sandwich meal with the option of fried onion rings and a Diet Dr Pepper. I asked for the onion rings to be fried hard and crispy and they did just that. There are plenty of condiments of all types available. The drinks are Coke products on the popular mix machine with more than a hundred choices of drinks and free refills. Sherry at the counter was very helpful. Outside tables are available as well. There are several specials that include a Dilly bar or ice cream. I will visit this restaurant again. read more

We have visited this location on multiple occasions when we travel to Dallas. We consistently continue to receive great service and the food quality has met our expectation each and every time. The soda always has the perfect degree of carbonation and the condiment station is always stocked. The burgers here are absolutely delicious. The patties are always juicy and the cheese has that nice melt that sticks to the wrapper. Fries are always cooked slightly golden with crisp edges having a tender interior. DQ in Hillsboro, TX is a very clean, well run restaurant. The staff is friendly, always wanting to help, and they spend their "down time" cleaning the nooks & crannies. The food was just as we ordered, even with the picky details that makes our "usual" order. Everything was fresh, even the salad, which was a nice change for a fast food restaurant. The taste was great, and you could tell it was made for us, not waiting under a heat lamp. This is the cleanest DQ I've ever visited. My grandson was soooo excited to go to a Dairy Queen! So on the way back from Lake Whitney State Park we stopped at the Dairy Queen in Hillsboro, TX. Well from the get go on ordering at the drive thru. Finally thought the order taker got it right after correcting this guy 3 times. Then when our order was ready - the same person forgot the free dilly bar on the kids meal, then we drove off, realizing the server forgot the drink for the kids meal so had to turn around to go back to get it. Then realized that no sauce that we did order for his steak strips were not in the bag plus my order was wrong - got a Dude combo meal but there was steak strip basket. NEVER again! read more
