DQ typical
Chadrick J.

Dairy Queen. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just another Dairy Queen. We needed something cold after a long afternoon hiking. Although I prefer real ice cream, DQ just had to do. Actually let my wife go in cause we had the pup with us, so I waited outside as she went in and placed our orders. It is a bit sad they do not have any true outdoor space to sit and chill but it was what it was. So I asked for one thing and my wife brings me something totally different... Eeesh. It would of been Ok except in true DQ fashion they put enough candy in my Blizzard to rot my teeth out in one sitting. Didn't even eat the whole thing. This is why I get what I get though for letting the wife order solo. I know how DQ works so it really isn't a surprise. Would I come back, fo sho... next time will order for myself though.

Didn't receive any of my sauces or the pickles on my chicken tender sandwich. Went back and still got the wrong sauces.

This place used to be absolutely incredible! The food is still delicious and so are the cocktails,…read morebut unfortunately, the service is no longer what it used to be. We had drinks at the bar while waiting for a table, and the bartenders were kind, helpful, and made delicious cocktails. We closed out our tab at the bar before being seated on the front patio. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. We knew what we wanted to order right away, but after our order was taken and waters were brought out, our server essentially never returned to our table. We initially received only two of the three meals we ordered and eventually had to go inside to ask about the third. No one came by to check on our meals, refill our waters, or ask if we wanted additional drinks or dessert. We had planned to order wine and cocktails with dinner, but never had the opportunity because our server did not return. By the time we were waiting for the third meal, our waters were empty, and after we had all finished eating, we sat for quite some time before eventually having to go back inside to ask someone for boxes and the check. What was most disappointing was that there was no acknowledgment or apology for the lack of service. Instead, a staff member joked, "You should get a job here," referring to how we had stacked our own plates while waiting for someone to return to the table. The food remains excellent, and the bartenders were wonderful, which makes the experience even more disappointing. This used to be a place we looked forward to going, but the level of service has unfortunately declined significantly.

Just me. My romance for ice cream and most certainly custard. Flew into Milwaukee late Sunday…read morenight, driving to Lake Geneva on Monday mid-morning, just enjoying the lack of traffic on the highway, unlike Washington DC's daily hot mess. Is it a mirage...or is that a CULVER'S sign on the highway exit signs..? I debate veering off the highway since I had planned a 6.2 mile run when i got to Lake Geneva. What the heck... I drove the 2.5 miles and pulled into the drive through - I know. The height of laziness. They had a special custard flavor: Mint, that was chock full of oreos and some other candies. One scoop. $2.51 with tax. Crazy low price. It was absolutely delicious!! The service was friendly and efficient. I ended up running the 6.2 miles, a bit slower than normal but no regrets. Like I say: Eat Dessert First! I posted a picture of my custard and you can barely tell what it looks like. I ate most of the ice cream before I took the picture. I may have to find a Culver's in Lake Geneva now!

If I had to estimate, I'd say maybe 3-4 leveled tablespoons worth and that's not even enough to get the feeling that you just enjoyed the ice cream treat. I wish I had photos. Next time if I ever go for ice cream, I'll hopefully remember to snap a pic. Hopefully, it'll be with better results and if so I will update and change my rating to reflect it.

The seating area is a large room with several different table groupings. There are small tables for groups of 2-4. There are big windows on the front, so lots of natural sunlight. There were a few other tables taken, and people were having quiet conversations or doing work. We ended up taking a spot in the corner, with chairs that are made for relaxing, but definitely not for talking :( (they lean way to far back, super awkward). They did a good job making my London Fog Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, and extra foam). There was not a lot of fresh bakery items to choose from. I wanted something more like a scone, but all they had was a cinnamon roll. They heated it up, and it pretty good. We would come back. ps - there is a large world map towards the rear of the shop. It's always generated fun conversations on the way out. Also, it still shows the "Gulf of Mexico" :)
