Could not even get an ice cream cake. Even though there sign said they have them at ready in the lobby

So I'm currently sitting in the drive through at 4:40pm on a Saturday. I'm not sure what is going on inside there because I've been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for my food. When I pulled up there were two cars in the parking lot and two in line in the drive through. I'm amazed as to how bad service is. Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Fast Food Near Me - Mayfield, Kentucky

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I've been here twice and I'll never go back. The first trip was through the drive though. I ordered a combo meal (burger with only mayo as condiment, regularly dressed otherwise) and a kid's meal. Not a big order, right? My burger came as mayo only - no tomato/lettuce/cheese/onion/pickle. My daughter's ice cream treat was omitted from our order so I had to go back through the long line to get her ice cream cone AND she had no fries in her meal. The girl working the drive through basically claimed I was lying about the fries because she claims she definitely remembered adding them to the bag. I offered to show her both bags but she wouldn't look. The attitude was ridiculous over a kid's meal order of fries - completely unnecessary. My second trip was with my family and we dined inside. There were 6 of us ordering ice cream. Four small blizzards and two cones. There was a huge ordeal over ringing up the blizzards with the BOGO1/2 coupon, the cashier seemed to not know how to ring up the coupon nor did she know if they could make a blizzard that wasn't on their menu (newsflash: they can't but it takes 10 people to figure it out). We then had a 30 minute wait time before we even got our ice cream and they saved the kid cones for last - which is a huge issue when you have two small kids that don't quite yet understand patience. With all of the staff they had behind the counter, I'd wonder why it was such a difficult order but it seems all of the staff were local teenagers that were too busy hanging out with their visiting friends or one another. I normally do not write reviews for fast food but I had an incredibly disappointing visit at this Dairy Queen today. I am a fan of Dairy Queen and have been saving my monthly ice-cream splurge for a blizzard. I decided to go in to order because I thought it may be quicker than the drive through. The girl working the register was very unpleasant and seemed to be very inconvenienced by me. After taking two more customer orders, she then made those orders and delivered them before asking me a second time what I had ordered. All the while, there was a second girl working who was wiping down equipment and not attempting to help out. I was standing there nearly 10 minutes before I received my order and it was incorrect once I did receive it, however I did not request a new order because I was just ready to get out of there. The restaurant was also dirty, as other reviews have stated. Floors were dirty and there were several flys. This location seems to be poorly managed, I would avoid this location if you can. read more

2:30 in the afternoon , waited in drive thru line for 1/2 hour . Was only 4 cars . Fries were cold. Dipped cone was good . :/

Great food and service! A1 service from the employees as well as the quality of their food. The showing of an upside down blizzard as they hand it to you always makes me smile. Lol. A little slow so don't go if your in a hurry but sooooo..... worth the wait!!! This place stays super busy inside and out! read more

My boyfriend and I just wanted a simple milkshake each. We walked in and the lady at the counter made eye contact with me and walked away. It was also clearly dirty which made me wonder what would have been in my shake if we would have stayed! The workers were arguing with the manager about who was supposed to be taking our order and how each of them kept saying how they weren't doing it as this huge crowd of people lined up behind us. The blizzards are great, but the restauraunt is dirty. The ceiling tiles are dirty, sagging and look like they are falling down, the vents in the ceiling are very dirty. I saw a bag of buns left open instead of closed where germs/dirt, etc could get in. I saw boxes stored on the floor in the kitchen. There always seems to be 5-6 workers there, you'd think it would be cleaner. read more

I love ice cream as much as the next person but the melted banana split that I received tonight after waiting 36 minutes in the drive thru just to order with only two cars in front of me was rather disappointing. I'd understand if they were busy as to why they took a long time but they were not. When we did make it to the speaker we were prompt to please wait a minute and that minute quickly turned into 10 minutes while they made the cars order that was in front of us. The workers weren't very friendly and the ice cream was not what I expected. read more

Restaurant was dirty, ceiling tiles were stained and there was loose insulation on top of the cup dispenser. Staff were indifferent bordering on rude. We stopped during the lunch hour and service was very slow. Food was ok, although I've had much better at Dairy Queen in the past. read more

I love dairy queen. They are always busy bit trust me the food is worth it. Expecially the blizzards!

As expected the food is good, ice cream great. But workers are rude or just don't care. It always looks dirty inside. The booths are small and for larger people cramped feeling. If you want DQ stick to the drive through and check your order before you leave. read more

The last two times we have bee there to get ice cream, blizzards, etc..the orders have all been wrong! If you get the the blizzard you ordered, its only half a blizzard. The bottom had no ingredients in it! The peanut buster parfait only had peanuts on top. I would describe this dairy queen as poor, substandard, subpar, shoddy, and miserable at best read more

The place has a reputation for being one of the slowest in town and I can see why. Not only can they not tell the difference between a six piece and a four piece, but they suck at keeping records. I bought a DQ cake online called the day before the birthdays to make sure it was ready and I had to be transferred to the manager becaue they had no record of it. I had the email confirmation and asked if I could forward to her and she said she would just ring me up another one. The next day my Dad went to pick it up and they said they had no record of it (the manager told me it would be ready by then) so Dad called me from there and I spoke to a person and eventually they found it. Why did they not look better? The previous year they also told me they had no record of it. Why offer online ordering if they can't get it correct. Also the place is really old and I still remember the day their AC was messed up. Also, I ask for sweet and sour sauces but they don't sometimes get it mixed up with gravy. Plus, when you order a six piece, the order come with TWO sauces and sometimes I have to ask them. One time I had a blizzard that only had LITERALLY one peacan (I ordered a peacan cluster). This restaurant just sucks and the place is old and need renovation. Worst restaurant in Mayfield. read more
