It is alright. I will say it's good for on post. They squirt jerk sauce on, it's not spicy at all. Beef and chicken patties are delicious.

The chicken curry is equally delicious, packed with authentic Jamaican spices and rich flavor. The rice and peas are amazing and pair perfectly with every dish. 4.7 stars seems too low!…read more Enjoyed lunch at Pete's today - Pete just happened to be at the restaurant and checked on us mid-meal. Super friendly, very appreciative of our business. Now, for the food. There were 4 of us and we cheered something different. I k ow it was all good because there was NO FOOD LEFT IN OUR BOXES when we left. I ordered the Jamaican fried chicken with Mac n cheese, rice and peas. Honestly, some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Fell off the bones, juicy meat but with a fantastic crunch and the perfect fry. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The rice and peas were an unexpected treat. I don't typically finish rice but there was none left, it was really that good. The location is very small, probably would be cramped with 8-10 people inside. I noticed most people grabbed it to go as we were the only group actually seated to eat. The parking lot isn't very big but it's very close to I-25 and convenient access. If you're looking for something a bit different than your typical fast food, give Pete's a try, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!!

It's located off the main road and you have to take the back road, cut through the parking lot and you're there. It can be seen from the street but there are no opportunities to turn into the lot from the main road. I reviewed the menu online and knew I'd wanted to try the curried goat. Since it was closing soon, the guy preparing my order gave me cabbage and two plantains since he didn't have enough for a full order. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I ordered a beef patty and it did not disappoint. The beef patty was hot and fresh and about the size of my hand. The filling was generous and not the kind of situation where there's maybe a tablespoon of filling. It didn't even make it back because I ate half in the parking lot and the other half while driving. I looked down at my shirt and devoured the flaky crumbs that landed on my shirt. The portion was appropriate for the price point. There is a pepper sauce on the table but they don't have any to go cups. I dashed some on my order before leaving. Tender, juicy and flavorful, I quickly began to "mash it up" (IYKYK) and felt my hangry-ness subsiding. Parking is shared in a lot with some neighboring businesses. On the sign, it says J's Jamaican Flava but online it may be simply referenced as Jamaican Flava. Hey, signs costs money and if you're doing it right, they will come. You can dine in or opt to get your food to go. Capable of contactless pay, credit card and cash. There is no charge if paying by credit card. I'm unsure if you can call your order in. It only took 3 minutes to get my food and I was on my way. The workers were sociable and inviting. If in the area, I'd dine here again. A well deserved five star review.

I think this establishment could use a little better advertising because we only stumbled upon this place after a search on Yelp for Latin cuisine. Otherwise, I've never heard of this place before and I don't hear anyone talking about it. This is cute family establishment. It really makes you feel like you're sitting in Miami having a nice meal. The owner/staff are really friendly and are not shy from coming up to you and sparking a conversation. We ordered the Churrasco, Lechon Asado, and the kid's Deditos de Pollo. The meats were very good. The steak was very flavorful and tender. The lechon asado had good flavor also. Both meat portions were generous. The rice was good, but the tostones were very hard and dry. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made ahead and refried, which absolutely ruined them. They were inedible. The kids chicken nuggets were OK. My daughter had to drown them in ketchup for her to be able to eat, so I'm guessing they were very dry or tastless. We also waited for a very long time for staff to bring us our bill. We waited about 30-40 minutes for anyone to come back to our table to bring our check after we had already finished eating. So, although the staff is very friendly, their customer service could use improving. Overall, our experience was fair. There were some hiccups, but I think it's because it's a small family establishment that still needs to work out the kinks.

We also had the fried cheese with guava dip OMG!! A revelation the cheese block was crispy and so soft and pillowy with a light flavor then you dip it in the guava - perfection!! I had maracuya (passion fruit) juice and a fried pork (kind of similar to carnitas) that was delicious with pickled onion and fresh avocado & Puerto Rican rice. Really good - it had gandules in it (little beans) or pidgeon peas- they taste very similar to lentils only they are a little rounder & a little bigger - I really enjoyed them. It also had cilantro in it. My husband had a strewed pork plate (pork loin) with the pickled onions, rice & sweet plantains (how I love them!!) his was also very good. My daughter the shrimp & mofongo with the garlic sauce and salad (that garlic sauce was Amazing!) The place is on a corner in a shopping center so easy to find, service is a little slow because it's a small place but they are on top of things & the quality is there! It's very clean, they are all extremely nice & very helpful. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you want to taste something new - freshly made with pride and service with a smile,
