    Spa services 2023
    Riki J.

Brought my mom here for an early Mother's Day spa day and then took her to lunch at the Rich Crab, a few doors down. It's a women's only spa. We did the Daengki special and I added the V-steam as well because of the other reviews. The Daengki special included scrub, oil wrap, massage, mini facial and the saunas. The V-steam was an interesting experience, I'm not sure I'd repeat it. My mother and I had a good time at the spa and left smooth as a baby's butt.

    Great service

First time experience .. I was a little shy but the staff is very friendly and you come out of there sooo clean and with the softest skin!! It was great!

Here's the robe and two small towels they provide as well with your locker key.

My husband loved it. The massages are a little rough, so I asked for them to be a little softer. But, I'm kinda a baby with massages, like I don't book deep tissue type of massages. The masseuse went on top of my back on all fours lol. I started laughing when she did that, she started to giggle too. I told my husband she was so petite I didn't mind it. The spa areas were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't bring a bathing suit, so I couldn't use the co-ed area which looked so peaceful and relaxing. The spa offered shorts for men, so my husband utilized the co-ed hot tubs. He said he was the only person in the co-ed area and men's side. In the women's area, where they had the hit tubs, women are nude. So, it's a little stressful at first because I never been to a spa where people are nude. But, I eventually got comfortable and enjoyed the hot tubs. The women's are that had the clay room, salt room, and sauna required robes. That area was so relaxing. The clay area was my favorite.

My day started with being shown where the changing/locker room is, what to do next and where the lounge area is. There are waters and cups and plenty of seating to choose from while you wait. The fireplace really elevates the lounge. Lana did my CBD oil massage. She was very kind and made sure I was comfortable. I'm not experienced with massages so I had a bit of trouble letting go control of my arm at one point, but she reminded me to relax. Afterward she brought me a drink which is probably normal for them but it was really nice lol. Again I'm not a seasoned spa goer. I really enjoyed the massage though. Next I tried out the sauna for a few minutes which was clean and very relaxing. Up next was my copper bath. When I stepped inside, I felt like royalty because it's set up so pretty with candles and flowers, it's a really nice tub with jets as well. I didn't want that to end haha. Next came my clarifying facial with Arely. This consisted of chemical exfoliation, extractions, an LED mask and a peel. She massaged me a bit as well which was nice. I wasn't sure if the extraction process did anything however because she applied no pressure to extract, it felt like just tapping on areas of my face but it's not a big deal. I can extract at home. The rest was relaxing! I finished the day off with Danielle, who was absolutely phenomenal. She told me exactly what we're doing and made me feel comfortable. First was the scrub, then she got a shower ready for me to rinse off and then brought me fresh water for after. Next came the body melt which smelled fantastic and felt really moisturizing. Danielle went out of her way to even give me a scalp massage and she sent me home with some of the body melt she used. I finished my day feeling at peace, soft and in a great mood. I do think I accidentally left my socks in my robe pocket but it's ok. No pictures because this was a total unplug day for me. No devices, no social media, just being present in the moment. Highly recommend this spa! I already decided that I want to make this an annual thing that I do each year for myself. Thank you Larchmont Sanctuary Spa!

Turned out to be one of our favorite things we've done! I don't have any photos, because it seemed weird to have my phone with me, but the ones online are pretty accurate. The valet and check in process were very smooth and easy. We got into our lockers and put on our very spiffy shorts/t-shirt/slippers combo and checked out the Jijimbang floor where the clay, jade, salt, and cold saunas were. We LOVED the clay sauna best - very relaxing to lay in a bunch of clay balls at a very pleasant heat. It also made for a little comedy trying to crawl our way out. We are 2 middle aged ladies... the comedy was bound to happen. The jade sauna was also great, and little hotter, which we also appreciated. They also have this domed sauna that I swear feels like a portal to hell. It's well over 215 degrees, and made me nervous to stand in. We were there for a minute or two and decided we weren't THAT hard core yet. We realized it was almost time for our treatments, so we showered and got into the hot tub as requested, and then sat and waited for the women to come get us for our treatments. We got the super fancy deluxe package that came with a scrub, oil treatment, hair wash/deep condition, mini facial, massage, and finishing oil. My services were performed by Rose, who, quite frankly, worked miracles in that semi-private room. I gallumped in, a scaly, dehydrated, sad little gila monster and after about 2 hours, emerged from the primordial goo a sleek, and slithery little skink... Rose probably scrubbed a toddler's worth of dead skin off me (yikes! Not the nips!), dousing me frequently with fragrant water that conjured up scenes from "The Ten Commandments." She went kind of light on my vampire feet, which I was fine with. Rose didn't need to be a hero. Flipping on the table was quite the feat, as it's very slippery, but Rose was there to prevent me from torpedoing right off the end. Next came the hair wash, which smelled amazing, and a deep conditioner that was wrapped in a towel to work its magic. We were instructed to shower and hit the dry sauna for 5 minutes, and were summoned back for round 2. Next, we were back on the table, on top of a Mylar blanket. Oil was poured on, and we were wrapped like baked potatoes to marinate while a refreshing mask was applied to our faces. After 10 minutes or so, the mask was removed, and the massage was up. Now, I hate massages, but this was about as pleasant as it could've been. Rose pretended to not be horrified by the way my back sounded like a güiro when she rubbed it, and I pretended not to want to roll off the table out of being extremely ticklish. We got through it, and I was rewarded with another face mask, hair rinsed out, and another oil applied with gold flakes. It smelled, coincidentally, like roses. After our saga, oiled up, and not a flake to be found for miles, we ate at the restaurant, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We checked out the salt sauna (kinda scratchy and hot to sit in), and the clay sauna again (I actually dozed off, which I don't recommend), and the cold sauna, which reminded me of the ol' walk-in at the VIP Pizza I used to work at. At this point, we were a little "hotted out," but vowed to return, and to take advantage of the ability to nap at all kinds of spots around the multiple floors. I will definitely get scrubbed again, and probably another facial and oil wrap. They were GLORIOUS. All in all, the $40 day price is absolutely worth it, if you don't want/need services. The fee is waived if you get a certain level of service, which makes it even MORE worth it for a nice day of saunas, spas, and generally lazing about. That said - if you are in any way precious, priggish, or prudish, this may not be for you. It's a very naked place, and all the services are conducted in a semi-private place. You can hear people's conversations, see (kind of) what's going on with others, and you're slithering around on a table in some pretty interesting ways. Overall, this was GLORIOUS. I absolutley can't wait to go back, and neither can my friend. We are already looking for dates! Worth every penny.

This is a space where women should feel safe and comfortable, including being undressed without concern. However, during our visit, there was a fully naked man walking around freely in this area. This situation was incredibly uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe/uncomfortable. We immediately reported it to the staff, but instead of addressing the issue or even showing understanding, they told us that California law supposedly allows anyone to access any space if they identify that way. They refused to take any action and rather dismissively told us to complain to whoever you want in CA's office. Regardless of legal nuances, a business like this should ensure the comfort and safety of its guests, especially in such sensitive, gender-segregated areas. In this case, that responsibility was completely ignored. We left feeling very upset and uncomfortable. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values personal boundaries and a basic sense of safety. When one of the staff told me that he can be in women's area since he identifies himself as a women, I asked does this mean that I can go to men's area if I identify myself as a men. He told me "no, since you checked in as a women already" so by only a check mark next time I can go to men's section and men by that only check mark can come to women's area. And let me mention he didn't look like transgender. He has all the man's looks, genitalia

My husband and I came to Ole Henriksen Face/Body Spa to celebrate our wedding, and I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. We were being treated by a friend as a wedding gift so we had a specific budget to work within, and I had absolutely no idea which treatments to choose or what would make the most sense for us. Before our visit, I called and spoke with Carla, who was incredibly patient and helpful. She walked me through all of the services they offer, answered every question I had, and gave us amazing recommendations without making me feel rushed or pressured. When we arrived, Samantha checked us in and happened to overhear my husband mention to me that he's always wanted to try red light therapy. She immediately offered us both a complimentary 10-minute session. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and only the beginning of how special everyone made our day feel!! My husband had his massage with Nadia and said he has never felt better after a massage. She appreciated his direction and tailored the entire tx to exactly what his body needed rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. He cannot stop talking about how amazing he feels!! I had my cucumber and honey body cocktail with Melissa, and she was an absolute angel. She was so warm and sweet, and the tx itself was incredible!!! From the moment she introduced herself I could tell she's not only exceptional at what she does, but genuinely cares about creating a wonderful experience. When I mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding, she completely surprised us by arranging a complimentary 45-minute couples Moroccan bath after our individual treatments. Blanca, the bath attendant, had everything beautifully set up for us in a private room with ambient red lighting, two huge tubs filled with essential oils and jets, full glasses of champagne, tea, and snacks. It was romantic, luxurious, and so so thoughtful. Just the perfect way to relax together and *soak* in this new chapter of our lives. Every single person we interacted with made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Everyone seemed genuinely excited to make our experience special, and it was overwhelmingly beyond anything we could have hoped. We can't wait to come back!!!

They will plan everything for you, or will happily work with you if you want to plan it too. Thanks Jana, you made 40 my wife's best birthday yet.

I made some last minute add-ons to the initial order and Lotus home was incredibly accomodating. Jana and her team work tirelessly to ensure a most zen and pampering experience. Couples massage: Jen and Jade were beyond professional and relatable. They first sat us down and asked if we'd had massages before, if there were any spots they should avoid or focus on. We had an actual conversation prior to the treatment and their delivery was spot on. I so appreciate how Jen and Jade allowed us to enjoy our massage in silence. And every so often, when I had a comment, they chimed in and laughed with my honey and I! Then back to silent enjoyment. Through the entire massage, I felt they were very present, engaging, professional, and kind. Couples facial: Amanda and Tamara were so knowledgeable and skilled in their craft! Every question that my sweetheart and I had regarding skincare, Amanda and Tamara answered. Personally, it can be a jarring experience for me, having someone work so closely to my face. But Tamara's energy was inviting and safe and she was so gentle! After the facial, Amanda and Tamara checked in with how my sweetheart and I were feeling and gave us privacy to slowly get ready for our next experience. Pool/Hot tub: Is there truly a better way to end the day than to soak in a hot tub with palm trees and cabanas? I think not. Part of the deal was a beverage tray and floating food tray. First, Jana knew that my sweetheart and I don't drink alcohol, so Jana prepared non-alcoholic champagne! This was a special treat for us, as normally, we simply deny the alcohol and swallow the cost (that's already included in the deal). It was incredibly thoughtful of Jana to have something else prepared for us to enjoy. Along with the non-alcoholic champagne, she prepared clarifying mint tea, coffee, and sparkling mineral water. So refreshing as we floated in bliss. Then came the food tray. Oh. My. Droooooool. Tiramisu birthday cake, the biggest raspberry macaron, a quarter pineapple artfully displayed in the shell, crisp green grapes, literally the best turkey/bacon sandwich, and a delectable grilled chicken salad. Y'all, literally every single bite was top-tier. To top off the surprise, turns out Jana is the masterchef behind this amazing spread! Everything she does is done with intention and the client's experience in mind. I was simultaneously blown away and deep in serenity. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I love Crystal Spa, it's walking distance from me and in a safe area so I always feel comfortable…read morecoming here. The spa is smaller than Wi Spa but it has everything I need. I've been coming for years and noticed they stopped heating the main floor, unless that's just a winter thing. After the hot tub I like using the dry sauna, charcoal room, then salt room, then mud room, and cool off in the ice room. I got a body scrub and massage for the first time with Anna and getting the 90 min one is worth it because it waives the entry fee. You also get much more than a scrub and massage because they also did a mini facial and hair mask for me too. It's leaving my hair soft for days and my skin feels so smooth. The scrub was very thorough and gentle and got so much dead skin off me. The massage is primarily focused on my upper back, I think I'll try a deep tissue massage next time to get deeper into my muscles. I originally expected it to be a quieter, more private area, but workers will have pretty loud conversations with each other while you are receiving your service. Thankfully this didn't last too long because it made it difficult to relax but don't come here thinking it will be a dark quiet room like other massage parlors. The food is a bit on the pricier end but the portions are pretty big (expect to spend about $20 per dish). Overall would choose coming here over other co-ed spas as it has everything I need, isn't crowded and is kept clean.

Mixed experiences here and I've been coming for years!…read more Parking - it's validated parking in their parking structure, which I love. Check in - the ladies are super nice at the front and it's quick. Pricing - it has gone up in recent years and I don't really see the pricing being justified since the place has not been kept up. Locker rooms - they're clean and big enough to store all your things. Showers - they're a little outdated and dirty. I see mold in some cracks. The water pressure is amazing though. Hot tub, saunas - they have these spiked floor mat that hurts your feet and you're not allowed to wear shoes in there. Also can use a facelift and deep clean. The body scrub itself - here is where I would give 10/5 stars. Anna is AMAZING. I love the way she pays attention to every inch of your body. I come out feeling like a dolphin when she's done. I would recommend this place solely for her and her services. Common area - it's small, but it works. You have mats to lay on and nap. There's also a few different types of saunas as well. Some of the saunas need some TLC. They're pretty ran down. There's an also a restaurant. I've eaten there a few times but it's nothing special. They also got rid of a lot of options that they used to have. Overall, I will continue coming here because I don't use everything. Just go to get my scrub by Anna. Sometimes I'll use the sauna.
