    Beef bulgogi...I think
    Mike G.

My daughter and I came here for our first time tonight. She apparently knew more about Korean BBQ than I did. I had no idea we'd be cooking it ourselves before we left our house. First thing a wait person should ask when walking in is, "Have you had Korean BBQ before?"...because if they had, our answer would've been no. I also expected there to be some type of directions on what to do...or at least a card telling you how long to cook each of the meat items. Nothing. You really just kind of have to eyeball it and hope it's cooked. Other than the chicken, we did ok. Although, being extra cautious, we likely overcooked just about everything, including potentially the aforementioned chicken. We had planned on getting two entrees, dumplings, and maybe the pancakes. After pricing it out, we realized it was about the same price to get the all you can eat, where you get to try a lot of different foods. I won't go into everything here, but the chicken dumplings were quite good. We ended up getting three servings of that. I also liked the corn dish...kind of like an elote. Not sure it's a regular thing because it wasn't on the menu. I liked all of the sides, and my daughter tried most things. She didn't care for the kimchee. For the meats, we both agreed the beef bulgogi was the best. We got seconds of that even though we were rather full by that point. The spicy pork was my second favorite. The other chicken, pork, and beef dishes were all pretty good. Surprisingly, the beef short rib was our least favorite. It was fatty, tough, and not particularly flavorful. We wouldn't get it again. Service was very slow at the start. After we were seated, we waited a good 15-20 mins to order. Luckily, service picked up, and you need your server a lot in one of these all you can eat places, so I was happy to see they were usually around when we needed them. It's not cheap...$38/person for the all you can eat for dinner, but it includes your sides plus the dumplings, which we were getting anyway. We definitely left full. Fun concept, but I'd be fine letting them cook it next time.

Really easy place to find. Not your usual kbbq place With vents and tables with built in cooking plates but it was still all delicious and a unique experience since I've never had a table top cooking plates

The food was delicious. So many interesting and different flavors. This is great new addition to Castle Rock. Since it's a new place, we could tell that the service and some of their processes aren't quite nailed down. But that's easy enough to look past, when the staff is so nice and the vibe is so fun. We did not do the all-you-can-eat BBQ option, but next time that I go back to Dar Gee I plan to. And then comes the food. I highly recommend starting with the seafood pancake. So tasty. There were 8-9 sides...I can't remember what each one was...but some thing for everyone's taste. The Dae Gee bulgoghi was so good. The garlic and pineapple flavors came through on the pork in such a delicious way. So good! There are several bbq sauces on the table, each of them is good. But none gets too spicy (you can ask for some gochujang if you want to add a little heat).

What a great Korean restaurant, clean, staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious. I had chicken dumplings, Beef Bulgogi and of course the amazing appetizers were delicious.

Assortment of sides and even potato and cucumber salads. Jalapeño and onion side with sauce was my fave.

Wish that I could give this Korean BBQ six out of five stars. Everything is super clean and fresh! Great vibe with Korean Pop videos playing in background. New favorite eatery in Castle Rock shops and it was open on Christmas evening. Service was quick and very knowledgeable! All of the sides were explained to us by servers and asked if we needed refills on the sides. Delicious BBQ sauces and sesame and other based sauces for dumplings, and entrees! Definitely order bone-in marinated short rib in house sauce since it is excellent and falls off the bone. Bee beem bhop with pork was tasty and stayed hot during entire dinner in hot stone bowl. Spicy daegee bulgogi ordered and exceptional! Canned coffee with milk was better than some other canned coffees had at other type of restaurants with condensed milk . I thought this was a tremendous value and entire experience was better in Castle Rock than at places in the Springs. Reminded me of a Korean eatery in Sunnyvale, CA many years ago. Happy Holidays and New Year! Please be aware that the unlimited BBQ is temporarily unavailable per menu. All guests at the table need to buy the unlimited BBQ , when that returns to the menu.

I had no idea this place was here! I was planning to go to Cava and saw DaeGee across the parking lot and had to check it out! I've been waiting forever for a Korean restaurant to come to Castle Rock. I had to grab food to go and I was not disappointed! The bibimbap was delicious! Came with lots of banchans and the service was great! It's an open kitchen and the dining area was super clean with good vibes. Definitely planning to come back soon for the AYCE BBQ!

this may have been the best short rib of my life,,,thank god you have another location,,,san diego…read morewill be seeing me when we ordered, i thought things were a bit expensive. however when the dish came out, i realized it had MASSSSSSSIVEEE chunks of meat on even larger bones. the sauce was sweet, not to an unbalanced profile, but it complemented the spice and savoriness of the meat. i floated after the first bite wow it was really tender as well. i appreciate the tongs, scissors, and glove that the gave us too! it helped with eating the whole thing. i kid you not this was some of the best banchan ive had too. the kimchi had a great slight fishiness, not too tart which is perfect for me. both the radish and kimchi had the freshest crunch that is sometimes hard to come by. usually i'm used to more variety but the flavors and textures of these two. the spicy brisket stew was delicious!! reminded me of mama instant noodle taste which i love. i wish there were more glass noodles but there was soooooo much brisket that substituted my craving well. the tteokbokki was probably the most underwhelming dish. i think for $10, the portion is tiny and the sauce is just mild and a big thinner than im used to. the tteok itself was a good texture, but the short rib dish had tteok too which was swimming in that heavenly sauce. we just ended up mixing the tteok and short rib dish to create the best of both worlds. i love how they package their to go containers too - airtight fast service and kind owners

We got the classic soondae soup with bone broth and spicy soondae soup, both without intestines. The soondae was very chewy and the classic broth was on the lighter side. I added some pepper and spicy chili paste for added flavor. It tasted great with the kimchi and pickled radishes. The spicy broth definitely had a kick to it and had lots of pepper flakes inside. They ddukbokki took awhile to come out but once we got it, we enjoyed how it tasted like classic spicy rice cake with fish cake in it. It only had half of a boiled egg, but it was still good paired with the spicy and sweet sauce. They had lots of seating indoors. Definitely will be coming back to try more items.

We waited probably about 15 mins to get seated and then it took about another 20 to order and get our food. We got a beef tofu stew (not picture) $17 and a beef hot stone bibimbap $19. We each got our own side dish with 4 side dishes. There was cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and a soy braised potato with fish cakes. I love a good hot stone bibimbap because of the crispy rice and this was CRISPY. I loved it. The side dishes were the perfect compliment to the dishes too. I will say my only complaint is the beef wasn't as flavorful as some other places but with how much food they're cranking out with only 2 people, they're doing a pretty great job. Despite all the people coming in and the people eating, the lady in the front was still happy and let people know there would be at least a 30 min wait to get seated. Overall, I would probably go here again if I was in the area and wanted a got stone bibimbap and didn't mind a wait but its definitely not a place to go if you're starving due to the potentially long waits.
