Great selection and very fair prices. I'm from Nashville and I visited the shop today for a little vacation shopping. I found myself a Pink Floyd Album I'd been searching for and a Black Sabbath album I wanted for my collection. Unfortunately the BS album had a small scratch. The owner was nice enough to test it in front of me. Upon noticing the scratch was more than he was happy with he just gave it to me and included it in my purchase. I thought that was incredibly generous and proves that he is passionate and has high standards for his collection he sells on his store. Do yourself a favor and go visit. Good: pretty good selection of records and a variety of genres. Knowledgeable owner. Bad: Ridiculous prices. Albums in poor shape are marked up nearly two times the normal price. For example, you can get a new copy Damn by Kendrick Lamar for $26 online...it was $50 in this store. Cool little record store. Interesting selection of records and some used cd's, and the 45's in particular are great. Guy who owns it is super cool: knowledgeable, easy going, and overall really nice. He also seems likely to give discounts on sales if you buy a bunch of stuff. I personally saw him being very cool to multiple customers, seems to treat everyone who walks in the door well, which (sadly) is often not the case at record stores. Place is CASH ONLY so make sure to bring some. Only reason for not full 5 stars is he writes his prices in pencil on the back of the LP's, which is an OCD no-no for me, but all considered one of the better record shops in the area. Not the most inexpensive, but found a lot of records to add to my collection. So all around a good place to hunt.

Prices are way to high for his records in the condition they are in. A VG, VG+ or a NM copy should have separate pricing, but all records seemed to be priced as if they were ALL NM copies. I won't buy them. read more

It's a cash-only store. He was streaming Pandora over the store sound system... seems odd to sell vinyl when you won't play it in your own store. Most of the records aren't in bags, nothing has a price label on it, there are no labels denoting the condition of the record. I went to ask the price on something, he showed me that it was written in pencil directly on the back of the sleeve, which of course ruins the sleeve. There are boxes of records underneath, but the under-area is paneled over so you can see boxes through the cracks but you can't get into there to look at them. No dollar bins. There was a decent amount of popular material and a good amount of jazz. In the rock and pop sections you will likely find what you want if you're going for more popular records like Dark Side of the Moon or Thriller. The jazz section was a good size, but I didn't see any classical or metal. read more

This is a very cool place and certainly if you are a record lover. The small shop has tens of thousands of records and the owner is very knowledgable about different records. Be prepared to pay a lot depending on the record you purchase. There are a few records for $5, but most are $20+ . I will not return to this shop because the owner humiliated me in front of other customers by accusing me of being a dealer and asking me to leave the store. This was after I had been in the store for 3 hours selecting records to purchase and askin the owner many questions which he gladly answered. I am not a dealer but a 70 year old retiree who is relatively new at collecting records and who has always paid retail prices for records and never sold a record to anyone. I actually spent $400 in this store a year ago and was ready to do the same this time. I spent many minutes trying to convince the owner that I was not a dealer, but he remained stubborn and asked me to leave his shop. read more

I would rather have given the person who answered the phone no stars. I called to inquire if the store was interested in purchasing several rare, mint condition, CD box sets. As soon as I said the words compact disc, the person who answered rudely cut me off in mid sentence, said he wasn't interested, and abruptly hung up. I honestly have not been treated so rudely since moving to Sarasota two years ago. I will be selling my entire vinyl collection soon and would rather give them away than to deal with some a#&hole. Great Shop, even better prices!! Condition of LP's are unbelievable. Selection of records are superb for a shop this size. Joe is the MAN for any questions about music/record industry.
