Went for an anniversary dinner and Geoffrey was amazing. He immediately said, "Happy Anniversary" and brought us two glasses of champagne! I appreciate when restaurants pay attention to the notes in the reservation and act on them without having to be reminded. I have been going to Daddy O for years and usually prefer the appetizers over the entrees. However, I think the entrees have really improved! We enjoyed everything we ate and the service was great. I like this spot even though everyone I know hates it. I like the calamari and salads. The menu isn't extensive and like most spots on LBI, they seem to always be gearing up for dinner as if lunch doesn't matter. But the ambience is 50s modern (I think) and the food is decent. This great restaurant hosted dinner following a very special celebration for our party of 12. They knocked the ball out of the park. Our server along with one of the managers could not have been more attentive to our requests and were a lot of fun. Our appetizers, Point Judith Calamari, San Marzano Pomodoro Mussel Pot, Buffalo Wingless, Blistered Shishito Peppers, Mediterranean Flatbread, Mediterranean Flatbread were fresh, served quickly and were delicious. The entrées consisted of daddy O Burger, Crispy Chick-Fil-O, Black Bean Falafel, California Kale Caesar with Pan Seared Salmon, O Chopped with Steak Tips, Blackened Shrimp Tacos, Ribeye Cheesesteak, Barnegat Light Scallops (x3). Once again, the food was served as ordered and all of the guests of our party raved about each of their dishes and the enjoyable evening that Daddy O's delivered. Definitely, put this restaurant on your "must do's" while visiting LBI . Arrive early for dinner so you can take advantage of one of the 3 bars that are friendly and pour awesome drinks. read more

this is for the hotel only... the good: - the roof deck is really nice .. good place to drink a bottle of wine - 5 dollar cocktails during happy hour...awesome! - close to the beach...and beach tags come with your room - really nice staff at the desk - really small...only 22 rooms! the bad: - no fridge in the room ... for a beach hotel, kind of odd - room service never cleaned our room ...guess they were coming around early in the morning - rooms aren't huge, but coming from manhattan that didnt bother us much. - theres a little bit of traffic noise, seeing as the hotel is on the blvd. it is the nicest hotel on the island, but it comes at a hefty price! read more

This is a cute boutique hotel on LBI. When I think of Jersey Shore hotels I think of over priced dives. This place is not that. It has adorable rooms with top notch amenities. Ummm, a keurig in every room? Yes please! There is also an air filter heating/cooling too. The only downside is the noise level. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Daddy O's restaurant saved our night! After a disastrous experience at a hotel restaurant in Surf City we left without eating and walked into Daddy O's at 7:30 on a Saturday night with no reservation, they seated our party of 4 right away! They were super friendly and our waitress was very nice and helpful. Food was excellent but the cocktails were amazing, especially Chef Joe's Basil Lemonade! The food was OK. It needed seasoning so that's never really a good sign. However, the pour on my Prosecco was enormous! I gave an extra star for that. Plus the ambiance was awesome. 3 people, 2 drinks, 2 bowls of clam chowder and the bill was $110. Excuse me but did the Hampton Jitney lose its way? This restaurant comes across like a desperate wannabe from the excuse for a rooftop bar to dolls' house sized entrees. Each stop along the way to dinner was somewhat reminiscent of interactive theater but with a non-cohesive script. The reception desk staff was friendly and efficient, prepared to honor our reservation right on time. We elected to try the roof bar where the show began! After being conspicuously ignored by the wait staff and tiring of watching other patrons ordering take out from other restaurants, the BF and I returned to the bar on the main floor. The bartenders there were so friendly and engaging that we were certain they were not employed by the same restaurant. And that was the highlight of the evening. The first table we were offered should be reserved for a potted plant and a bowl of mints. At the entrance to the dining room, it is a guarantee for traffic, bumping and noise. Once escorted to a real table, we were hopeful that things would improve. One can dream. We ordered a number of appetizers and small plates which were served by a waiter trained somewhere in the Twilight Zone. He was totally confused and very disorganized. Our meal was satisfactory but not memorable. This establishment is trying almost too hard to be "THE" place rather than being a great beach place. We would return to the main bar for cocktails but would recommend dining elsewhere. read more

Ate here on a Friday night. Had drinks first at the rooftop bar. Went early enough to catch the happy hour. Went down to the restaurant and I ordered the Seared Tuna with black rice. My new favorite restaurant, Food is excellant, Service is great. I had the filet mignon and it came with Onion rings to give it that something special. THe appetizers are delicious, Wedge Salad, soups and deserts out of this world. I missed the chicken fingers this time they had wings instead. Chicken marsala was also excellant. Really nice venue, but only open seasonally. The food is only average but the bars and ambiance are usually great. Nice, crowded rooftop bar with a limited menu. A semi hidden casual courtyard with a good bar, and a full menu and some fire pits is the place to go. The dining room is large, often doesn't seem to have enough help and is overrun with wedding parties, small children and large groups. Free parking. Multiple bars. Not cheap. Very New York in style and attitude. Has some hotel rooms which are very modern and comfortable but very expensive. This place would be outstanding if it was on the water or beach, but unfortunately it isn't. Formerly Wida's which mercifully closed up several years ago. Few locals go here. read more

A boutique hotel close to down town Beach Haven. Rooms on the small side, however, clean and comfortable. Didn't have dinner, but did get a flat bread which was excellent. Complimentary wi-fi and Keurig breakfast cups which is always a plus. Limited staff but that's probably due to us staying in the off-season (end of April). We would definitely return. read more

Great food, atmosphere, and service! A wide selection of adult beverages- including some delicious fruity cocktails. I had the lobster bisque and scallops- and I highly recommend! Actually- some of the best scallops I've had. My husband really enjoyed his burger. We appreciated the modern yet comfortable atmosphere . I come to LBI every year and look forward to our visit to daddy Os. I always have a great time there. Staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. Never disappointed here! I also have a ton of food allergies and they were able to accommodate me and were very cautious, communicating what ingredients are in what dishes. I don't write a lot of reviews, unless the total experience warrants it, and that's what DaddyO's in Brant Beach, Long Beach Island delivered. My wife and I have come to LBI for years, and with so many options on the island, we can easily navigate depending on our cuisine, drink or scenery cravings. DaddyO's literally covers so many of these cravings, from multiple menu's to multiple venues all under the same roof (or rooftop & outdoor patio options as is the case here). DaddyO's has live solo act music indoors, as well as separate dining options & rooms and then they took it outdoors with an expansive rooftop with bay / sunset views serving standard & house drinks, along with sushi & a small plates menu. DaddyO's took it even further building out a large outdoor patio, with fully functioning bar, has a fire pit (in the evenings) and offering meals off of any of their menus. The patio is incredible and has become our new destination during the afternoon as well as evenings as we've called it the best kept secret in LBI. The back patio staff greets everyone like family and is non-stop attentive. Special mention to Brian and Emily, who seem to always be there covering the bar and tables like a fine tuned orchestra. With DaddyO's so close to the beach, we recently came off to have a drink & snack, and a fast moving storm came in. Brian & Emily didn't miss a beat, running drinks back & forth through the rain and back to us under the umbrellas! Last comments are ... The drink menu covers everyone, the food is awesome, great for couples, friends or families... and you have to order the sushi! read more

Daddy O should stick to cocktails on the roof top! Food expensive and not very good. Very salty and very small portions for the prices they charge. The server was not very friendly and we had to ask for rolls even after ordering $350 worth of food. Waitress acted like she was doing us a favor giving me the bread. The special hanger steak was not even a hanger steak it was a cheap version of another cut of meat for $38. The Filet Mignon was raw we sent back to get cooked more and it came back raw again not even edible for $42 I would expect more. I have been coming to LBI my whole life and since Daddy O opened my family and I have been wanting to try it and unfortunately we were very disappointed. I would expect a lot more for a $400 meal. I've been coming to the Island for the last few years and had seen Daddy-O several times, but never tried it. My friends and I decided to try something different and were pleasantly surprised! Great ambiance! All of our meals were delicious; the Seafood Cobb salad was literally the best I've had. We didn't go up to the rooftop bar, but the bar inside was hopping. Find some other place to eat. Passed by the place and seemed very trendy, plus rooftop deck lured us in. We were told it was closed due to heat. Now this is a 3rd week of Juky, 75 outside, low humidity. What better weather can you expect? Ok, let's stay inside. Waited for 15 minutes for a table and another 10 for bar maid to settle our tab. Drinks were watered down and had more ice than the North Pole. Menu was rather limited and pricey. Now at the table order was taken after another 10 minute wait.The silverware was filthy. Meanwhile, server didn't even give us bread rolls until we asked. About 30 mins after ordering, soup finally came out. It was bland and lukewarm. Appetizers were sub-par, I've had better at Friday's. Lastly, the $30+ entres we ordered didn't come out until about an hour since the order was placed. It only came out after I called our server over and asked her to cancel it. A minute later she showed up with our dishes and a guilty look on her face. I should have sent them back but I didn't want to be a jerk about it. That was a mistake. Food was bland and uninspired at best. So called "roasted veggies" tasted like they were a frozen variety defrosted an hour ago. Fish dishes were also bland, lukewarm and not worth even a 1/2 of the price they had a nerve to charge. I called a manager over and voiced my dissatisfaction with the dining experience. He apologized and said he would take care of us. That meant bringing us a check.... for the full amount. Not even a "hey, our overpriced drinks are on the house". Bottom line, the absolute worst dining experience in recent memory. This place is to be avoided at all costs, even if your only other choice for a meal is a Burger King 5 miles away. Better drive there now, it may be a long wait. read more

First impressions of the newly renovated Daddy-O and my dining experience: Beautifully designed interior, spacious bar, friendly staff, and accommodating servers. Unfortunately, that is as long as my list goes for this two-star price gauger. The menu descriptions for the entrées excite the tastebuds, but be prepared for a let down. While the food was flavorful, the presentation and portion size left much to be desired. Compared to other closely priced restaurants on the island, the portions served at Daddy-O are very small for the prices being charged, leaving the customer with a feeling of regret for dining there. As for the drinks from the bar, they too were a let down. The cocktail list was extensive and unique, however, the drinks were bland and disappointing at $12 per. Price would not be an issue here if the food and drinks at Daddy-O were above average in presentation, portion size, and overall quality. Yet this is not the case. read more

Worst experience of my life! Ruined my wife's birthday dinner. After making reservations days in advance and arriving an hour early, Daddy O's still couldn't seat us outside as expected. In addition, the Manager lied to us stating that "the people have been at the table for 2 hours and will not leave". When I checked, the people were just getting served dinner. The Manager tried to placate us after our reservation time passed 1/2 hour additional wait claiming he saved a special table for us. I agreed to be seated inside and the table was by the entrance of the rest room. I guess it was special! Bottom line, the place is poorly managed, over priced, and not worth the wait. I ordered a ribeye steak cooked to perfection. I like my steak cooked medium and medium it was. My husband also ordered the ribeye steak and he loved it. I started off with the beet salad that was delicious. My husband had the lobster bisque which he loved. Everyone was very nice and we enjoyed our dinner at Daddy O. We will be back again during the summer. Hopefully next time we'll have room for dessert. read more
