This review is just for the driving range. I had a membership at Coyote Hills but after they increased their pricing ($85/mo?), I went to find a cheaper place that was still decent and Dad Miller is it. At $45/mo with lights at night, it's a great deal for anyone local looking to hit a few balls without too long of a wait. Peak times are probably weekdays after 6pm and weekends. I tend to go either at lunch or around 4:30pm and haven't waited over 10 minutes. My photos don't show it but in the past month or so, they also added barriers between each bay. The mats were of fine quality to me but I chatted with another golfer and they weren't as happy about it so that just depends on the person. I've been fortunate enough to mostly come here during off-peak hours but I've been a few times during peak hours too and notice the issues that other people might be referring to. There are sometimes people who will hit bucket after bucket with no etiquette despite others waiting for a bay. There will also be people resting a little too long on the sidelines while still taking up a bay. These aren't issues that arise during off-peak hours though so if you're lucky enough to be able to come then, the price is worth it. read more

Dad Miller Golf Course has unfortunately fallen into poor condition across nearly every aspect of the experience. The fairways are patchy and uneven, with several areas of bare dirt or inconsistent grass coverage. Bunkers are often unkempt, lacking consistent sand depth or proper raking. Tee boxes are uneven and chewed up, suggesting little effort toward maintenance or rotation. Greens, while playable, tend to be slow and bumpy, showing signs of neglect and inconsistent mowing. There also appears to be little to no management of pace of play. Rounds regularly stretch to 5 1/2 hours, with no visible marshals enforcing pace or flow. It's frustrating to see groups pile up with no intervention from staff. And as short as this course is, it is inexcusable. The restaurant is decent, nothing remarkable, but not terrible either. It's one of the few parts of the facility that seems to function reasonably well. The driving range, however, mirrors the rest of the course's decline. The golf carts are equally disappointing, aged, beat up. The staff is okay. Nothing special in terms of service but not terrible either. They are just kind of there and offer nothing impressive. Overall, Dad Miller feels like a course that has been left to run or rot on autopilot. With some real investment and consistent management oversight, it could be a fun and accessible layout again, but in its current state, it's simply not worth the time or the frustration. But if you are a bad golfer who shoots 100 or more and do not care about any aspect of the experience and instead want to go out and hack it up, you should still pass on this course because the value is a joke. Pure cash grab "golf" course. Horrible maintenance, no one fixes ball marks. Unraked bunkers. Patchy "fairways". The simple layout is ok, but even with proper maintenance it should only be a $35 weekday and $65 weekend course max but you will have to pay $95.00 to play! But thanks to "Demand Based Pricing" it is much, much higher priced. How about players "demand" better maintenance and regulation of pace of play? American Golf (just about the worst) will come in at first and fix stuff plus have great maintenance the first 6 months and then cut back on everything.... and I mean everything... Employees, fertilizer, water, grounds crew, cart care... EVERTHING. Then they jack up the prices and shorten the times between starting times. They have been doing to courses since the 70's. Any long time golfer knows once American Golf takes over a course it's going to be #1. poorly maintained #2. way more expensive and #3. have much, much longer rounds. Have marshalls encourage pace of play. This is not a difficult course. Yet so far we l, a group of very average golfers, have played dor 4 hrs and 20 min are are STILL waiting to tee off on 15. Pathetic pace if play and no enforcement. Will never play here again. This is going to be a 6-hour round IF I have the patience to finish. May walk off the course. Pathetic. read more

It's a nice cheap course but the pace of play was so backed up... minimum 3 groups waiting on one. Group in front had a tournament director named Jackson whose was trying to sign us up for a membership but with the way his group was backing up the day who would sign up??? So many people complaining but Ambassador did nothing. read more

Here to comment on the driving range -- don't waste your time coming here unless you're already familiar with the course. There are no clear directions, no structure, no organization, and not a single employee in sight. I watched at least four groups walk out because they couldn't figure out where to get balls or baskets. It's a complete disaster and a clear example of poor management -- not to mention, the location itself isn't great either. read more

I have been a member of dad miller's players club off and on for several years. I find myself being conflicted about the service, because the facilities are okay when they are actually available for use. Forget about even getting a reasonably priced tee time at a normal hour, or playing a sub 5 hour round. I go to the driving range nearly daily, and there is at least a 50% chance on any given day that they are packed to the gills or out of balls at the range. Almost all of the employees I have personally dealt with in my experience have historically not been welcoming or kind, and they seem like they would rather be doing anything else. Last week I went to the range and they were out of balls. The range attendant proceeds to come back, and berate everybody waiting in line for balls just for the act of waiting in line for balls. This is not the way you maintain a good customer base. Dad miller seems to operate on the "give the piggies their slop because they will eat it regardless" method of operation, and it really is a shame. Anaheim needs a better golf facility, because Dad Miller certainly is not cutting it. read more

Incredibly dirty restaurant and rude bartenders/servers. The bartenders tend to favor some customers over others and give different treatment. Very unprofessional, I've seen the workers eat and drink alcohol while working. The customers they favor even go in the employee only area with their dishes, which is very unsanitary in an environment like this. Over all, horrible service and workers and well as with the guys in the pro shop. 10/10 wouldn't recommend eating, shopping, or even relaxing here. read more

Pro shop lady is extremely rude and disrespectful. Issue #1) They never send confirmation email despite asking and calling multiple times. I booked for 4 people yet they said it's only booked for 2 last 7/7. She said only 2 people can play. Her response is very curt and short. When asking for estimated time for wait, she said she doesn't know. We asked 3 times, she finally said 10 minutes. WHY THE HELL COULDNT YOU SAY 10 min from the beginning instead of us having to ask 3times. I asked if we can pay right now while waiting she said to wait to pay when your name is called. THEN, WHEN OUR NAME WAS CALLED, I was gonna pay and SHE SAID WE HAVE TO TEE OFF RIGHT NOW? No time to pay so we rushed. Clearly, she didn't want us to take our time and pay in advance but wanted us to rush. The level of disrespect to customers is just disgusting. She thinks she's the queen, she does this to almost all the Asian golfers that I know that has little bit of accent. So if you are not fluent or have an accident, do not come here because she will make sure you go through hell. The level of discrimination is just sick. Issue #2) the cart wouldn't work. We already paid. Yet, it keeps turning off. After 4th hole, went back to pro shop to ask to change my cart. She said don't have any so oh well. Her attitude was like I don't have any left so sucks to be you. NO APOLOGIES OR SAYING HOLD ON LET ME FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOU. That girl at the pro shop is absolutely the worst employee of the lifetime. Her attitude is horrendous, and I am not sure if the owner knows how miserable she makes a lot of people go through. When waiting outside for new cart and having to wait to play, I heard other customers complaining about her attitude and disrespect as well. Someone teach her customer service 101 please or replace her with someone who's willing to be a problem solver and a team player. read more

Course is in Bad shape. Greens very bumpy, Ball marks not repaired. Cut long grass on greens & all over fairways. Many pot holes all over each hole. For what they charge, you would expect better than what you get. Driving range is very small and across street from club house. Want be playing there again for a while. read more

Price vs what you get = just ok Course is not bad, not good. It's mostly flat with small slopes. The greens are in ok conditions Driving range is a bit better. I think there's around 25 mats that are new, balls are ok and the length of the range is nice. read more

Easy Course. Lots of people. It's kind of like whack a mole. You'll be waiting to tee off and then someone comes running into your fairway to hit a ball into the other hole. Like a free-for-all. So, my golf group has been playing here for some time now. Pre-CoVid, it was a crapshoot when you called the clubhouse. Fivesomes available? Sure would be the response. Then you get there and they say "no". Or, it would be the exact opposite... Anywho, it's a well maintained course that now definitely allows ONLY foursomes, via single cart riders, (unless you are members of the same household), has no 19th, (as most courses are now) and to be honest, is pretty tough for a short course. Challenging is putting it mildly. Bottom line, senior discount is available, carts are available, and price is still decent. It'll definitely stay in our rotation until circumstances dictate otherwise... read more

Guys in the pro shop were cool, tee'd us off ahead of schedule. Accidentally left a wedge on the green on 9 & the marshal went and got it, then delivered it to us across the street at hole 11. He definitely didn't have to do that, much appreciated. Tee boxes were in good shape. Fairways are well kept.. but narrow, & the layout is pretty tight from one hole to the next. Somebody is bound to end up in your fairway & maybe hitting onto you from the hole over. But just be mindful of where you are & you'll be good. Greens were great, smooth and fast. Great pace of play, never waited longer than 2-3 minutes at a tee box. Carts seemed brand new. For the price & condition of the course, can't beat it. Will definitely be back. read more

I was a member for a long time, but the course has a lot of delay (very very slow pace) and a cart issue. Sometimes, I had to request a cart request more than two times during one round. Also, the on-course restroom has been broken for many months.... Yesterday (2/19/2023), I had to wait 45 mins to get the group carts. Is it worthy? If you have plenty of time, your group is ready to enjoy the very slow pace game, give a shot. But, I canceled my membership. read more

I try to call the pro shop and get some answers regarding my membership and they just don't want to help or bother to talk to me. I'm not sure if they have my number recognize on the caller id at their office but I think they do because they are avoiding my calls. One time I will call and it will make a beeping noise assuming they are busy, tried again couple minutes later and they just hung up or ignored my incoming calls. Unacceptable. Also, I don't think they have professionals working at the golf shop because most of them are young adult brats. read more

We played here over the Christmas break. Our reservation was for 11;56am for our 4some at $46/person which includes carts. Typical covid restrictions currently are in place here too with no racks in bunkers, removal of ball washers on all tees and touch free pins at all holes. The bar is still open for all your food and drink orders before your round. There are no cart services here currently. The course here is in pretty good condition with average wide fairways to and typical speeds on the greens for late Dec. It's a pretty short course with 5892 yards off the blue. This course does get pretty busy especially during the weekends. They seem to book alot of walker on our day so there was abit of a wait on some holes but average pace. We finished our 18 hours in about 5 hours. For the high handicappers watch out on the back 9 as you absolutely will loose many balls off the water hazards esp on 10 and 15. Highly suggest using a crapball off the tee as my friend said since its definitely going swimming lol. read more

Pace of play at this course is always very slow. I've never seen any staff on the course to help control pace. You have your standard driving range but it's located across the street from the parking lot. Half of the time I come to the range, the ball machine is out of range balls and it's a very long wait for the ball picker to come around and load it again read more

For the price, this place can't be beat. They have a members club that keeps the prices very low. I'm not a member but I think it was $46 including a cart. Several of the holes had closed tee boxes due to new grass going in and that made for some short holes but the greens were in excellent shape. The fairways were hard as a rock but the grass was green. They get a ton of players here and our round was close to 5 hours. Decent bar and grill and the snack bar was conveniently located. Pleasantly surprised by this course. Conditions were good. Didn't have to wait much on a weekend either. Clubhouse is remodeled and they got new golf carts recently. My only complaint is their range is across the street and you can't take a golf cart over there to hit balls. My bag is pretty heavy so I decided not to warm up even though I got there early. I rolled some putts instead and the practice area was nice but feel like they should allow chipping too, seems to be enough space for that. One of the par 4's was only 260 yards, other than that the rest of the course played pretty normal. Definitely a little shorter than a more modern full size course but fun to play especially if you're not a low handicap golfer. read more

Course is mid, paid 56$ per person for 2:20 tee time, with greens punched 8 days ago. I stood in the pro shop for 15 min to check in when there was a line of 3 people, then realized I forgot my glove so had another 15 min detour to the pro shop. I received constant Harassment from the Ambassadors and finally from the Assistant Manager regarding the Pace of Play of our Foresome. When we arrived at the 7th Tee we discovered that we needed a CODE to open the Restroom Door, this is probably due to Vandalism or the numerous Homeless people in the Area? It took me ten minutes to contact someone in the ProShop. The ProShop phone just rang and rang, and no one would answer. When we arrived at the 8th Tee, and Ambassador informed me that we were now Thirty minutes behind Their Desired Time for 8 holes of golf. I explained to him that we lost ten minutes trying to contact the ProShop for the Restroom door Code!! The Ambassador did not seem to care about my explanation of our delay!! As we were putting on the 15th green another Ambassador proceeded to tell me that our Foursome was Two and One Half holes behind the group in front of us. This was a Bold Face Lie!!! When we crossed Gilbert St to go to the 16th Tee, which is a Par 3, I could see a gentleman teeing off the 17th Tee. As we approached the 18th green the Assistant Manager, who had driven a Cart out to the 18th Green, informed our group that Dad Miller was out of Golf Carts, and that they needed our Golf Carts back to the ProShop as soon as possible. The Assistant Manager also made a statement that we were playing a Five-Hour round of golf!! I looked at the Time on the GPS on the Golf Cart and told him that we were just at Four Hours and Thirty Minutes. This Assistant Manager proceeded to tell me that he "Rounds Up" our Playing Time. What a Friggin Jerk!!! I will NEVER play Dad Miller Golf Course Again!!! Again, No One should be subjected to this kind of Harassment!!! read more

Friday morning green fees including GPS equipped carts for two couples at this neighborhood 18 hole course came to $186. Modified check-in process, removal of all ball washers and sand bunker rakes, and installation of touch free hooks at pins are all part of new COVID 19 safety measures. Course was busy: most patrons had masks on and maintained proper social distance. Greens generally in good shape except areas disturbed by gophers. It was a beautiful day for golfing although wind picked up a bit after noon. The pace was somewhat frustrating because of uneven play speed - there were many slow-moving groups walking with pull carts and umbrellas. The back nine was quite tough with many long, severe dog legged designs. Starting with hole 12 it became more challenging, requiring precision lay-up. Hole 15 was a ridiculous first shot over a bridge, followed by water hazard on right. Hole 18 has an unexpected big puddle of waste water hazard! read more

Pace of play is horrendous. On a weekday and still waiting almost 15-20 minutes to tee off is unacceptable. Stop overbooking tee times or have the marshal out rushing these slow groups. 4 groups on one hole isn't right. Was sold large bucket of balls at 6:25, 5 minutes closing time. Walked to find out the guy collecting the balls had closed the ball machine down. Asked him about it, and boy did he throw an attitude. Walked over to pro shop to get refund, heard the ballboy already calling and "warning" the pro shop about us. Brady Fox the ballboy is a real unpleasant piece of work. This is the worst course is SoCal. Don't even think about spending your money here. We got stuck behind a group, and people were trying to cut us, and it's just a whole entire mess. And when I asked Larry in the front, all he said was "I have no authority". Not only is that the saddest response I've ever heard, but when someone brings up a problem their only solution is "I have no authority". He said he would "write his boss a letter". Go play somewhere else and don't even think of wasting your money here. Yes it's cheap, but go play a 9 hole somewhere where they care about golf. They are just a bunch of jerks here. Me and the boys paid 64 bucks a head for 4 heads total if 256 and tell me why the course ambassador was on our assses the whole 18 holes. We played a quick pace, at time even had to wait for the party ahead to play. We respected the course (not in the best shape) and still this ambassador was on us. I even asked if he wanted to join as our 5th. I won't be coming back. Didn't like the price for the shape I'm the course was in And for being followed. I don't mind paying more so long as the course reflects the rate paid. This course did not unfortunately. read more

Not a bad little muni course, and you can't beat the greens fees compared to the outrageous costs of some nearby courses in southern Orange County. Check-in is slow, and you're never going to play solo here or without being paired with at least two or three other golfers, but again, it's a decent course and the price is right. read more
