To my disappointment when my daughter went in they ended up saying it was only a consultation, I took off work to take care of her after her visit (wisdom teeth extraction). I believe they didn't do the procedure because front desk made a mistake in scheduling too late in the day because they were closing at 3p. Instead of taking accountability they blamed my daughter stating they NEED the referral and they also need more time to complete procedure. They did not offer to retrieve referral from referring practice and no one was in the front desk to make appointment for procedure so we left without any appointment. When I went it in for my wisdom teeth extraction it was consultation/procedure in one appointment. When my youngest daughter went it was also consultation/procedure and they did not need the referral form since it was already discussed in advance. This practice is inconsistent and needs to do better in communicating.

After years of looking for a surgeon to remove "Tori" (benign bone growths in the mouth) I found…read moreDr. Julia Jackson at Northern Virginia Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Assocs. Past dour warnings against the surgery immediately vanished after a consultatation with Dr. Jackson. That she loves Tori surgery (reduction) was a game changer. 5 stars for this surgeon who exudes knowledge/competency, positivity, interest, and kindness. Everything was explained in detail (including actual photos of before/after surgery) and the surgery was performed under local anesthetic. Dr. Jackson removed (reduced) 5 tori in an amazingly short time - about an hour. The entire time I was comfortable and because of her skill, I missed the opportunity to watch her do one Tori. Recovery time was a snap and I would do it all over again - as long as Dr. Jackson is the surgeon. She did a beautiful job. Upon leaving the office, the pleasant young woman smiled at me as I mumbled through a mouth full of gauze and said "We speak gauze here". I left laughing.

I left my old dentist due to their lack of care and concern, from the get go scheduling here was immediately extremely easy, I was called twice to confirm details to make my visit go more smoothly. Walking in the front door everything was extremely clean and they were very efficient getting me in. I wish I could remember the front desk staff names but they're all great. I should've caught the dentist assistant's name because she made my first visit a walk in the park and was beyond affirming and sweet(Young woman blue scrubs?) There was an issue getting my X-rays from my old dentist and they were able to accommodate my needs and fully discount brand new X-rays, if I wasn't already sold this was the kindest treatment I've ever received in the medical field, they've won a long term patient. This was mostly thanks to Office Manager Libby who was extremely transparent about pricing and willing to make adjustments without a second thought. In the following week I got cleaning done and 5 fillings across 2 appointments and Dr.Kailey and the dental assistant that helped out were so efficient, I swear two fillings took less than 10 minutes and I felt 0 pain, crazy stuff. Dental hygienist Romen gave me the most in depth and comfortable cleaning I've ever got. I can't sing these peoples praises enough, if you're unsure with your current dentist, if you've got dental anxiety, if you've fallen behind on your care like I had this is your place. Truly fantastic group of people, thank you guys so much!

I took my special needs son here and I'm always concerned that they won't know how to treat him…read morebecause of his little quirks but my fears were quickly dismissed when I saw how gentle and patient the hygienist was. Romen took her time and was kind and did a really thorough job even though my son was trying to sing and wiggle the whole time. She was great! As well as Dr. Kailey and the whole staff. Dr. Kailey is so personable and nice and made us feel really comfortable and ready to come back for our next visit. I highly recommend this location for you or your loved ones needs. They are great!!

July 2022 - COVID Review:…read more I was referred by my general dentist to go to an oral surgeon to get a "growth" on my tongue checked out. Since it's on my tongue, I have to use my medical insurance instead of my dental. This was one of the offices in the area that took my insurance and they don't have an oral surgeon but a periodontist. I had been referred in May and didn't have an appointment scheduled til June. The periodontist only works on Thursdays and every other Friday. Days leading up to my appointment, I get a call from the office that he's unavailable and had to get rescheduled to a month later. I came in for my consult and was told he would do a biopsy to be safe and that it would take a week of recovery. I was scheduled for the end of July for the procedure, but then I needed to reschedule due to work. When I called, the next available appointment wasn't going to be until September since again, he only works 1-2 days a week and I had been needing this checked out since May. I decided to cancel the appointment altogether and schedule at an actual oral surgeon. The new oral surgeon gave me a better second opinion that it was just my tastebuds and "would be a waste" to get a biopsy done.

They're fine if you just need a cleaning/only see them every 6mo or so…read more But if you need them for anything else, it's like pulling teeth to get them to call/email you back or give you any information. Be ready to call at least once a week for any updates. Otherwise it'll be radio silence.
