I went through the process of having a custom engagement ring made here at Dacels. The whole experience working with Mitch was great. I've also brought in several pieces of silver jewelry and a watch to be cleaned and serviced. In the age of box stores, this family owned jewelry is my top choice for anything jewelry or watch related. I will keep going back. read more

Took my Omega Seamaster in to ask about repair and replacement, and was very impressed at the service. The woman who helped me was super informative and friendly, definitely coming back. Dacels is a class act and professional establishment. read more

Incredibly polite and non-judgmental. I walked in wearing work clothes and was treated with courtesy and respect and my silly questions were listened to and answers were explained clearly. They cleaned my grimy ring to look like new again in a few minutes and helped me get sized for a ring in less than a minute. Consummate professional with legitimate concern for my satisfaction with the work. read more

Several years ago I had an antique necklace with several large diamonds in it that I brought in to get appraised. I got a weird vibe from the appraisal the owner gave me. It was like he was trying to sell me that it wasn't worth that much. I hung on to the necklace and later had it appraised by a gemologist who gave it much higher appraisal. I ended up selling the necklace for 4 times the original price quoted to me Dacels. So get your jewelry appraised by someone who is interested in giving you a real quote not a low ball offer so they can buy it off you to resell it. read more

I have gone to this shop for 10 years to have my swiss watch maintained. It was a convenient location, so i didn't mind that they sent it out, and marked it up. They got the job done, and were nice. Took them over 3 week's to get a battery replaced and watch cleaned, but i was ok with that. More recently, i asked them to work on the watch, which required some welding. They indicated it would be too difficult, even though i had all the parts. Their in house person looked at it, and their recommendation was to buy a new watch. Fast forward a few months later, i stopped in at another watch repair shop. I showed them the watch. They took it in, evaluated it, welded it, got it all fixed in 1 day. So, bottom line, i would not recommend this place as a jeweler for fixing your watches. Can't speak to anything else. read more

Beware of this store. It is close to where we live, so my wife took her diamond wedding ring there for an insurance appraisal. Instead of doing this, the manager gave her a gloom and doom verbal pitch for repairs, saying that the ring was falling apart, needing at least $3,500 of work. The whole transaction had a bad vibe, like she was being hustled. Thereafter, she took the ring to her regular jeweler in downtown Seattle, who said that none of this was necessary. read more

The best customer service you can find anywhere. These guys really care about what is the best for you and are so pleasant to work with. We were in a time rush and David was able to order us a ring in under 24 hours, truly went above and beyond! Very grateful for the opportunity to do business with Dacel's. read more

My level of customer service began with a five and finished with a zero! Dacels was a referral from a family member. When I originally visited the store, they were very happy to help me find what I thought would be the perfect engagement ring store. After three successful meetings, I made a purchase. Since this was a surprise gift, we spoke about having the flexibility to return the stone if necessary. After a successful proposal, my fiance visited the store the next day with setting photos and ideas, as well as wanting to see additional stone options. After she left the store, the customer service level dropped immediately - no communication when promised, never receiving pricing information on additional stones/settings, and a missed appointment. The disappointment and lack of service we received took the sails out of our excitement of the engagement. After five weeks we'd had enough. Upon reaching out and letting them know we want to return the stone due to horrible customer service and go with a different jeweler, Dacels told us they have a 'no return policy.' Basically we are now forced to settle with their horrible service and original stone, upgrade to a bigger purchase or sell it and use another jeweler with better customer service; either way we loose. We did finally speak with the owner and he's a great guy who helped resolve the issue. We returned the diamond for credit. Thank you. read more

Rob was incredibly helpful with finding us the right set of rings for our wedding. He had some stones special ordered and my ring was custom-made to fit my unique taste. He assured us that we would be pleased with the results. Each time we stopped by he found time to treat us as his guests. Until we paid. Once he had our money in full, he had no interest in discussing potential flaws in my ring's construction and even denied that they existed, though other people can easily see the off-center setting and discoloration of several (created) stones. We figure he just didn't want to have the ring remade, but that's no way to treat a customer (especially since we didn't want it remade anyway). I'm not sure whether I will return here when I update the ring. read more

I had a ring from an ex that was incredibly gorgeous, but I just couldn't bring my self to wear it anymore. So I did the next best thing and took the stones and made it a necklace!! I had no idea what to do with it and with a recommendation from Mel I came in here and put the future life of my stones in the hands of professionals. Professional is indeed the word to describe the delightful workers here. With Collette (and Tommy's) help I was able to design a necklace that I am absolutely in love with and won't dare take it off!! The time and patience she took to help me was greatly appreciated and because of it I am now the proud owner of a necklace I will treasure for years to come and not feel guilty about wearing it!! Please please PLEASE come in here if you are ever in my position or if you ever want to trade in jewelry. They are friendly and knowledgeable and don't treat you like you like you are too young to afford nice jewelry. I know you won't be disappointed!! read more

Ryan and team are awesome! I have purchased most of our jewelry from Dacels and have never been disappointed! I stopped in on a Saturday to pick out something for our 25th wedding anniversary. Gave Ryan a few ideas and he put together exactly what I had picture. It was a project and his jewelry designer (forgot her name sorry) dropped everything and created an incredible ring and earrings which encompassed some stones from the ring in 3 days on time for anniversary! Incredible service! It's expensive but the jewelry is top notch and they always stand behind their work. We bring stuff in several times a year for tune ups and cleanings! They are wonderful! Thanks Ryan and team for always beating my expectations! read more

David, Celeste and Rob... actually the whole team have been great. in the last year there have been 10 transactions between us, from resizing to buying replacement stones to refurbishing watches buying earring and watches. Dacels by far and away exceeded our expectations! Their high quality products, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and custom craftsmanship cannot be matched. This family owned and operated store has been in the community for years and has given back in numerous ways. I choose to do business with caring companies like Dacels and I know they will be my go-to jeweler for the rest of my life. As soon as I walked in the door for the first time, I was instantly greeted and treated with the utmost care. I explained that I had a precious family diamond that I was considering to get re-cut. They walked me through the pros and cons for cutting such a precious diamond, and in the end, the new brilliant cut is spectacular. Their expert diamond cutter created incredible facets and barely reduced the overall weight. When I returned with my fiancé to choose the engagement band, Ryan and the rest of the staff continued to work within our budget, design requirements, and style. Once again, Dacels went above and beyond to meet our needs by ordering us an amazing Tycoon setting and worked with us to customize the setting even further. We expressed our vision of changing the original prongs and the outcome created a sleek and elegant look. The final setting truly met our needs and now we have an entirely custom piece. Each day my fiancé receives numerous compliments on her custom ring. Not only did my fiancé get to have her fun, but Ryan was able to create a one of a kind gents ring for me. The entire process from the initial sketch, to the wax model, to the final product was enjoyable and easy going. I felt comfortable asking the staff a variety of questions and I felt assured I was receiving honest and straightforward advice. The level of detail shines through with their custom jewelry and I am so thrilled with the outcome. If you are searching for the perfect engagement ring, look no further than Dacels. I wholeheartedly recommend you go. You will not be disappointed. They stand by their motto, "When only the best will do." Thanks for everything Dacels! read more

I'm disappointed in Dacels customer relations and honestly expected more from a store that claims 'world class service'. My husband recently took my 5 year old wedding ring that he bought from Dacels in for a routine cleaning and check. They told him that the middle diamonds prongs weren't as secure as they could be and that they recommended spending an extra $100 to fix the problem, My issue is why would they sell a ring with loose fittings and why won't they correct the problem at no charge because it's a settings failure. I'm very unhappy that Dacels doesn't support the products they sell. read more

I bought a 14k white gold and sapphire ring for a 16 year old granddaughter and within a few months the white wore off and was a yellow gold. I had a Raymond Weil watch that stopped working. I took it to Dacels. They gave me a quote of $400 to repair it. They said it was justified because the watch was worth $3500. I took the watch to another jeweler in issaquah. They fixed it by completely replacing the movement (using the same movement as Weil) and charged me $75. I had a few others estimate the watch value at around $900. read more

I had a platinum ring resized here and they did an amazing job. They do platinum resizing the right way (laser welding, replace metal using actual platinum) so the ring is seamless. You can't tell at all that it has been resized - it looks as perfect as the day it was created. I've seen friends' resized rings where you can tell that it has been resized and I knew I didn't want my ring to look like that. I'm SO thankful I found a place that does it right. The service I experienced was amazing and the turnaround time was speedy. read more

The most horrendous customer service experience I've ever had. A heartfelt gift from my husband and children for my anniversary turned into a 3 year nightmare. Within a month after receiving my new ring I lost a stone and the jeweler told me it was my fault because I was too hard on it. They replaced the stones and I lost another one a week later. They then told me the design, which THEY recommended, would not work for the soft stones I had chosen. At that point they were difficult to get a hold of, were condescending when I spoke to them, would not give me a price for redesigning, would not give me a refund. In the end they charged me almost double of what my budget was. The owner was the worst of all in regards to customer service. Buying a new piece of jewelry is supposed to be an exciting wonderful thing and Dacels turned it into a nightmare. read more

I went to this store because it's conveniently close to my house. Elizabeth was our jeweler. She listened to what we had to work with and to what we wanted. She didn't try to make us spend more than we could afford. We were shopping for a wedding set. Within a week we had just what we wanted and could not be happier. I would recommend this store and especially Elizabeth to find you just what you want. We will go back when we want jewelry read more

We contacted Dacel's about a special request. We were in swatch of an ash holder for our loved one. We were contacted by Collette who went way beyond her duties to find one from one of their respurces, she showed is 3 in which we went with one (which we found strange since I am so particular about things and this was for one of the most influential and positive part of me). She also showed us chains, I got one, then returned it and got another. They lasered the necklace pendant shut and without any notice. They also said we could put tge ashes in ourselves at the store if we wanted. They also checked out some of my other jewelery to let me know what they were made of. I would without any hesitation go back if I wanted to puchase jewelery again. Thank you guys, Collette you rock! read more

My fiance & I had a wonderful experience at Dacels. Ryan was extremely helpful & saw us through the engagement ring shopping process from start to finish. When my fiance proposed, I was blown away at how beautiful & perfect the ring turned out! I absolutely LOVE it! I actually had to go in a week later to have it resized, but it was done flawlessly within 1 day. I couldn't bare to be without my ring for more an a day so it was perfect! We will definitely be going back to Dacels again in the future. read more

For lovers of fine jewelry, Dacels is the ultimate candy store. It has an incredible selection of high-end, high quality jewelry. That said, I've made a series of purchases there, each under $100. Like a new watch battery. And each time I've been treated like a queen by the friendly sales staff. They even offered to polish my gold jewelry -- which wasn't purchased there-- for free. First time shopping for a diamond ring, stopped by the Factoria location after going to a few other stores and not getting a good feeling about them. One "engagement ring store" in Bellevue spent an hour with me, then wouldn't return my calls? Not the case with Dacels, specifically Rob. He gave me a free cleaning and appraisal on an inherited family ring before I spent a penny, worked diligently with me to source exactly what I had specified, was fast to return my calls and emails (sometimes within minutes), helped me with many aspects of the purchase including insurance issues and shipping, and had a great demeanor and professional yet friendly attitude the entire time. I only give 4/5 stars because I have nothing else to compare it to, but in my experience Dacels (Rob) took an experience that I was hesitant about, and turned it into an easy, educational and even fun project. A+ Update 4/5/11: I've since given them return business as I was so impressed with my initial experience. I was able to send them a description, and an example picture of a piece of jewelry I wanted created. They were able to create it on time, within my expected budget, and with the level of service I received as when I came to them as a first time buyer. Dacels (Rob) will receive any recommendation sought of me from now on. read more

"So I was talking with my Jeweler..." and with a bit of surprise my friend responded, "you have a jeweler? Wow!" Well (insert appreciative pause) with a grin of confident satisfaction I replied, "yes, I guess I do." That's what happens when you build a relationship with someone who adds value to one of life's most momentous and somewhat anxious experiences a man might face. It's an experience that is more than just picking out the right piece of hardware to pop the question. with good wisdom and tremendous grace, Ryan and the staff at Dacels Jewelers were phenomenal in taking away the distractions and helping my fiancee and I choose an amazing engagement ring and wedding bands. Ryan patiently worked with us with expert council to navigate the waters of selecting a complimentary set that matched both of our unique personalities but best expressed our commitment to one another. We are newly weds now, and it has been an awesome journey but it's been supported by amazing people like Ryan and the Dacels team all along the way. We are going to be customers for life. I have had the greatest experiences in jewelry shopping/repair/maintenance at Dacels Jewelers in Factoria. This is a great family owned jewelry store that has excellent customer service. Our family had been coming here for years, so when it came time to pick out my engagement ring this was my one and only stop. I felt so confident in my pick that I didn't feel like I needed to go any where else. Collete walked me through the selection process, carefully showing me different options one at a time, without overwhelming me. I was not looking forward to this process when I looked at the case with all the choices, but she made it so easy. My top choice she set aside, and when I was ready it was waiting for me. They charged us (or didn't charge us) reasonably for various things associated with my ring and my fiance's ring and felt overall we had gotten a good deal on two quality rings. I couldn't imagine walking into one of those "specialized" engagement stores - I would have poked my eyes out! Thanks Dacels, I love my ring! read more

DO NOT REPAIR JEWELRY HERE!!! I took my engagement ring to Dacel's for a simple sizing for $80. When I dropped off the ring, the guy at the front said that there was a chance that if my side stones (I have 16 micro paves) came loose during sizing, they would charge me $20 per first 4 stones then $10 per additional. I agreed thinking that there was little chance that the worse would happen which would be that all stones come loose and I would have to pay that crazy amount. (I was only going down 3/4 of a size) Well it did happen, when I picked up the ring, he nonchalantly mentioned: "BTW, every one of your stones came loose, you'll have to pay the cost." I was floored! In the end I paid $280 to get my ring sized!!!! Tell me how this makes sence???? The worse part was, the job I paid $280 for them to do was horrible, the width of the ring is much thinner at the bottom half leaving me a unsymmetrical ring and the kicker is that it was not even sized to the right size! It's still loose on me but I refuse to take it back since I'd rather take it as a huge lessons learned and walk away before I let them rip me off again. BE WARNED. read more
