Followed the advice of other Yelpers and tried this lovely place. It was a small wait ( next door) but the staff was so friendly! We were seated outside- it was HOT but inside was hotter! They immediately brought a bottle of "still" water and 2 glasses. No ice. BUT! Everywhere in Italy we went did not serve ice unless you ask for it. The pasta carbonara was SO GOOD! I ate it all!! The pizza hubby ordered was gone before I got a taste... guess it was good? So if you happen to go to Citivtavecchia Italy... go here!!!

The place we were advised to go was actually closed so we went to this restaurant for a quick dinner. The waiters were friendly. My Salami pizza was good but I've had better pizzas since being here. My husband rates his ravioli "ordinary". His plate reminded me of Chef boyardee but it was still fine. Anyways if you run out of options go there. I still had a great time

Order the liter of white wine, it is excellent. Fish was fresh and pizza is very good. Tiramisu is also very good. Go enjoy!

A beautiful place with a family atmosphere- delicious food. Would come back again and againread more

My husband and I had a memorable lunch at this welcoming and superb restaurant. It was our last…read moreday in Rome and since we wanted seafood, we thought that a Sardinian restaurant would be a good choice. Lucky us to have chosen Eleonora d'Arborea. Located in an outer neighborhood (you can take a bus from Pizazza Venezia to within a couple of blocks of the restaurant), we had a late reservation but entered to find the comfortable main rooms still active and lively. When our waiter realized we spoke English, he sought out the owner who helped us navigate the large menu of choices and with his encouragement, we made a meal of primarily the restaurant's starters. We had crudos and tartares, raw clams, and plates of fish and vegetables. The food was extraordinary. Probably the best seafood I've ever had, and I grew up on the New England coast and now live in NYC -- I think I know fish. We also enjoyed a delicious Sardinian wine and ended the meal with the owner's treat of two small glasses of a strawberry liqueur, house-made. Our only regret was that it was our last day in Rome and couldn't return to try more things on the menu. We appreciated the restaurant's friendliness, helpful service, and most of all, the superb fish and shellfish. If I can't travel to Sardinia, I can only hope to return soon to Rome so we can eat at Eleonara d'Arborea again.
