My experience bears no resemblance to the other reviews. Yes, I am reviewing the correct restaurant. The review is for the restaurant, not the deli.
I'm an American, Italian parents, lived in Italy as a child, lived and worked in Italy as an adult.
Picture a serving counter with pans of pasta. The cold pasta gets spooned on a plate, put in a microwave and served. Mine was over cooked to the point of firm pieces of prosciutto, disintegrating pasta and the green had been nuked out of the broccoli. My gf's pasta was so over nuked it was crisp in spots. That's the completely unacceptable part where even a typical USA restaurant would draw the line at serving. The antipasti were very good, the tiramisu was average (poor) for the USA, I expected better in Paris.
I've long ago given up on American reviews of Italian food so, somehow, I can understand the rating this place gets. But, even if you have a modicum of understanding of what food should taste like, I would suggest sticking to the antipasti or just buying from the deli.
I just noticed, other than mine, the last review I can see is 4 years old. Apparently times have changed. read more
