We've been coming to Tossa de Mar for many years, and this was one of the best meals we've ever had. Among the four of us, we ordered the prawn appetizer, bread, sangria, lamb, grilled sea bass, Beef Tenderloin Rossini, and flank steak. Every dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. The view was incredible and made an already wonderful dining experience even more memorable. We will definitely be coming back. I made a reservation in advance, and I'm glad I did because the restaurant was completely packed. This was one of the tastiest restaurants we tried on our trip by far. It would be important to make a reservation, particularly during the summer months as I'm sure its popularity would demand it. We seated at our lovely table overlooking the Mediterranean. Delightful staff. It appears that the owner takes all the Orders from the tables. He is truly from Naples and makes some delicious dishes. We started out with a mixed salad that had incredibly fresh ingredients. I had the salmon timbal which was awesome. Or main course we shared a sausage and mushroom pizza that was made in the style of Naples. Prefect! The waiter was very aggressive and was trying to add service to spike the bill. Without asking, he brought out four waters, which we were charged for. Two would have more than covered me and my family. He mentioned the special, which was tuna over a salad. The tuna was freezer-burned and horrible tasting. The calzone was about the only thing that was fairly decent. This place is a tourist trap; it was overly lit. The only good view was of the wall and it's on the ocean. there are plenty of other places there I would recommend going to. Quality and quantity was exceptional, and the location has a nice view, we also were seated in the front of the restaurant were you can enjoy the view. We wandered up because the view was great and the staff greeted us in a friendly, welcoming manner. We had no idea the experience that would unfold. The salads were fresh, generous portions. The mix of greens nutritious and succulent. They not only accommodated our request for a vegetarian option, they made Martha exactly what she requested - Tortilla Española! She raved about how good it was with every bite. The seafood paella was so good, I have no words adequate to describe it. The mussels and langoustinos were presented in a perfect, steaming array. This lunch spot exceeded our expectations! It's not touristy at all and the prices are great. Everything from the aperol spritz to the chef's recommendation for dessert of the Baná which we had never tried was absolutely delicious and made authentically. This is the real deal. Best food down the coastline. It's crazy that the seafood is on par with the pizza! And they are exceptional. Better that most places in Barcelona. No joke. This team is laser-focused on the HAPPINESS of guests & it showed from the MOMENT we walked in through the entire meal. THE AMBIENCE Comfortable chairs, overlooking the sea, plenty of shaded areas or areas right in the sun. Great music streaming in added to a relaxed vibe. THE SERVICE Genuine warm welcome from the staff Excellent English - definitely helped us decide between the dishes Thoughtful & attentive - when the clouds rolled in & it was cooler, automatically the waiter appears with a folded clean blanket that I could use if I was chilly. So thoughtful. I thought I didn't need it, but he said he would leave it on the chair next to me, in case I changed my mind. Sure enough about 30 minutes later, I wanted that blanket. The garlic prawns were phenomenal, their pizzas had bright flavor and perfect crust, and their seafood linguine (which was recommended to us) was delicious. The restaurant is a very good blend of Italian and Spanish cuisine. The name probably comes from the chef that is also frequently on the floor helping staff and greeting guests. And the head of the floor looks like his brother (but not sure about that). They have pizza and pasta, but also many good tapas, good fish and paella. Unlike in many other places you can have paella even for 1 person. And you can chose from about 5-6 types. The staff is very attentive and speaks also English. There is also good climate due to 2 sides open but all tables in shadow and fans on the ceiling. Important element that also adds to good mood is excellent selection of music that plays all the time. There is also big screen with sports on (just in case you want to watch football...). Their house wine is in good Italian manner - simply quite good. Not to mention coffee. That is just great! In town with so many tourist restaurants, this is one which is also for tourists, but at the same time a place with a soul and honest human touch beyond the comedy for tourists you can see in most places around. read more
