Salami, ham and peppers pizza with lemon water, so delicious!

Da Enzo is delicious!!! We've been here a few time to dine in and ordered togo. The food is authentic Italian food, with amazing servers who not only speak Italian but some speak Spanish and very good English as well. The pizza is yummy! They come quite small though, which I presume is normal, being that Italians really aren't on the heavier side. The Spaghetti with Bolognese is delicious, simple yet so satisfying. They have a great variety of beer and wine, which we both enjoyed. This place is great to come to anytime during their hours of operation throughout the week. The weekends get very busy though, so making a phone order would be beneficial. They have a romantically sweet ambience inside as well as beautiful outdoor seating. Love that this place is less than a quarter mile from our home, we will definitely be coming here very often!

On a whim, we looked for a lunch spot with a great, dog-friendly patio. We stumbled across Da Enzo and were quickly impressed. Large, quiet patio with a beautiful view. There's an open field next to it! Started off with the Hefeweizen and a Barbosa wine. We typically order a salad and a pizza to split. The Sadat filet was excellent. Fresh, fresh vegetables with a large variety from corn to peppers. Meat was plentiful with a filet on top and cuts of meat chef style in it. We ordered a teresa pizza (large). Flat crust and full of flavor. Nothing was missing in terms of seasoning. We also learned that if you put shiny coins on the table, the bees will not bother you. We will be back.

The food was amazing and the patio was great for dining. It is on an active street though.

You sit down and then you go back to pick up your order, once your 'number' starts buzzing. While it is a hassle to eat here due to the parking and it being downtown, it's definitely convenient if you are already in the area or you just got done shopping at the mall. They have a separate entrance for strollers and a little area for the kids to play, color and entertain themselves - definitely appreciate this so they can do something with all that energy. There have been many kid friendly restaurants in Europe(more than in the US) - and you can add Vapiano to the list.

When you get there, you are given a card that you charge all your food orders too. There are pasta counters where you place your order to the chef at that station. After they ask you a few questions on how you want your dish modified, they begin cooking right there on the spot. Don't go too far away because, they are speedy!! Everything I ordered took no more than a few minutes to prepare. You really don't even have enough time to get bored and check your phone - that is how fast they are. I ordered two rounds of pasta because one wasn't enough. Not to say the portions were small, but the food was that good I had to go back for a second helping. My first course was the chicken alfredo, to which I added a second helping of chicken. I also ordered a side of the bruschetta. The Chicken Alfredo was everything and more that I was expecting. Creamy, Cheesy, the sauce was the perfect consistency and flavorful. I had some fresh shredded, not grated, parm added to the top and that really set it off. The bruschetta was equally as delicious. I'm not sure how they flavored their tomatoes, if they even did that, but they tasted very fresh and diced the perfect sized for a small handheld dish. I really have no major complaints about the Bruschetta because it was such an amazing dish, I was just expecting there to be some kind of mozzarella cheese and a balsamic reduction of some sort drizzled across the top. Again, not a problem at all because of how well it was executed without. After seeing what one of my dinner guests ordered (pollo picante w/ zoodles) I had a small sample and instantly knew I had to have a full serving to myself. I ordered mine with ziti noodles instead and I was far from disappointed. The sauce that it was cooked in is hard to describe, but it was sweet and tangy and really reminded me of what I think orange chicken from your favorite Chinese restaurant might taste like. Both dishes I would easily order again or recommend to someone coming for their first time. My experience at Vapianos was a very enjoyable one, and they are well deserving of a 5-star review, but I'm going with a strong 4.6 because consistency between dishes were very noticeable. There were two orders of chicken alfredo at our table, but cooked by two different chefs, and it was very clear one was better than the other. The difference wasn't as noticeable with the pollo picante, but there was still a slight difference between the two dishes prepared by those two different chefs. For anyone living or visiting the area, it is imperative Vapianos be at the top of your list of restaurants to dine at. Visited 1 May 2023

This was my first Italian restaurant experience in Germany and how it did NOT disappoint!…read more We needed a spot that was open late at night without reservation on Friday, since my husband didn't get off work until 9PM. This is actually pretty difficult to find for a non-pub, but Bistrorante Da Adriana is a full service restaurant that opens late (11 PM) and had very comfortable dining. Their ambiance is that of a casual-upscale versus rustic Italian, but you can most certainly come in with casual attire. The hostess was super friendly and lit candles at the table for the mood while we peruse their HUGE menu of fresh pastas, salads, pizzas, and drinks. I ordered the classic carbonara with spaghetti pasta, husband ordered the salmone with spaghetti pasta, and we shared a tartufo Italian ice cream. I love ordering classics as my way of testing restaurant's ability to make staples and chef did not disappoint! The prosciutto was generous and you can clearly taste the parmesan and egg yolks. But my husband's salmon pasta was exquisite, I was SO JEALOUS of his pasta. The sauce was flavor packed and rich with salmon flavor without being overly fishy. You can sense the small bits of salmon without it being texturally chunky. And the tartufo ice cream was a perfect finish to the evening, perfectly sweet cold and presented beautifully on a platter. All this food for LESS than 40 Euro with two non-alcoholic drinks. Extremely affordable, especially considering the portion quality and service. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who has dietary concerns (HUGE selection of vegetarian options), need comfortable seating/non-smoking (I'm pregnant so this was PERFECT for me), large parties, and a late-night spot in the heart of Kaiserslautern. This little unknown spot definitely checks all those boxes and we will definitely come back here.

Unfortunately this year they were closed for holidays and La Piazza was recommended by a colleague. The location is nice, on a quiet pedestrian alley off the Schillerplatz; and the white clothe covered tables certainly gives it an upscale feel. The menu has traditional Italian dishes, salads, and pizzas. For starters I asked for a glass of Barbera and the young waiter told me they were out, so I asked for his recommendation and he replied "I don't drink wine so I can't help you." In my opinion a waiter should know something about their wines and if they don't they should know how to fake it. Maybe I pissed him off with my remark but when he brought my bottled water to the table and did not open it. Next I ordered the Insalata Italiano which should be served with a very mild dressing so you can taste the ingredients. This salad arrived swimming in balsamic vinegar that completely drowned everything on the plate. For my pizza I ordered the capers, olives, and anchovies - which should be sparingly added - just enough to give you a faint taste. My pizza arrived with many large anchovy slices that dominated every bite. Sadly I was not able to enjoy my salad or pizza.
