Well let me just say, me and my husband Darrell had the best little lunch date at Five Guys today…read more The burger was juicy, the fries were hot and salty just the way we like them, and Darrell couldn't stop talking about how good his milkshake was. We sat there for a good while just enjoying our food and each other's company. It felt like old times. If you're looking for a simple, delicious meal that warms your heart as much as your belly, this is the place. Darrell already said we're coming back next week!

She just points and has me move down the line. I'm thinking my food is ready but when I get to the next station, I don't see my food and everyone is looking at me awkwardly. I finally ask is my food ready? They inform me my fries are still cooking. No one greeted me, said anything about wait time and had me stand there in awkward silence. Horrible first visit at this location. Will not be coming back. Horrible customer service.

First time there today. Menu was nice, but was pricey. There was nobody in front of me in line, but…read moreit still took a good 15-20 minutes for my cheesesteak to be ready. The photo on the menu looked good, so I was ok with paying $9.00. It was small, and there wasn't anywhere near all that meat that the photo shows. It was tasty, but $5.50- $6.00 worth, not $9.00. Note that the menu prices on their web site are outdated and most items are $1.00 more now. For $9.00, should at least come with a side (e.g., nice portion of fries) or a beverage. Unless you have a little appetite, you'll walk away hungry. Staff wasn't engaged with customers whatsoever. No hellos, no smiles, no thank you. Their spoon box blew away in the wind, and 2 of us went after it and returned it to them, letting them know what happened. There was no expression on his face and no thank you. You're welcome! Suggest they get a box for customers to stand on to place their orders, because everyone was standing on their toes trying to get high enough to place their orders. Has great potential; just needs a little TLC on the menu/prices and customer service. I wonder if Gordon Ramsey is available! :) This review is my personal opinion. They have many 5 star reviews on their Facebook page, so try it for yourself and see what you think! :)

We've seen Cookouts in other cities, but never have tried one. We were in Decatur for the weekend…read moreand decided to give it a try. First of all, we got nasty glares and even a head shake from the employees when we approached the door. They all disappeared behind the wall and not one, not two, but three employees one at a time poked their head out, glared at us, then went back to the kitchen. We were about to leave when a sweet older cashier came out to take our order. I ordered the Cookout burger, House style which is with Quesadilla sauce, and a small Cajun fry. My husband ordered chili cheese fries. I usually take pictures of my food but I was so uncomfortable because of the employee glares and then I was shocked at how awful and sad my food looked, pictures were the last thing on my mind. The burger was tiny overall, bun was dry and grainy, beef was thin and dry with a quarter-sized spot of quesadilla sauce, a leaf of lettuce, and one slice of tomato. Also, when I ordered Cajun fries, I was sadly picturing Five Guys' Cajun fries. These are not even close. These are the crinkle cut fries with some Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top. They were room temperature & kind of dry. I usually try to do good reviews, but we were so disappointed and a little annoyed with our first ever visit to a Cookout.
