She is absolutely amazing and will help craft an event that is better than you could have imagined. She has been such a pleasure to work with, and would highly recommend her. Let me back up and give you some context. My husband and I knew we wanted to get married in NJ on my uncle's farm. The only problems with that were that we lived across the country in Portland and we didn't have a building to have the ceremony in. My husband and I also both worked full time jobs. We began to realize that we'd have some time constraints on our hands and hiring a wedding planner might not be a bad idea. After reading some reviews online, I reached out to a few planners and set up a couple of introductory calls to hear about their services and experiences. When I started talking to different wedding planner, every one of them started off by telling me about all of their packages and what was included in their service. Lindsay was different. Unlike the other planners who immediately went into their sales pitch, Lindsay wanted to hear our story and what we wanted in our wedding. It seemed like she genuinely wanted to help us create our special day, not just give us a cookie cutter list of services. This was such a refreshing and personal way of approaching wedding planning. I knew from that minute that I wanted her to plan my wedding. Lindsay of Simply Sunshine Events is an amazing events planner, coordinator, and event designer. She covers a wide array of events, from wedding and baby showers to corporate events and fundraisers. And every single review that I read about the company was simply glowing. Not only is she professional, candid, creative, and helpful, but she just seemed like someone who I would work well with. Ironically we both grew up super close to one another, so we instantly clicked on that part of our past. Even without that connection, I knew that we would get along well. We decided to get help on both the design portion as well as the planning portion of our wedding. I'm really not the most creative person in the world and I felt like we needed help putting together the overall vision. We were presented with a personalize design brief with a couple of different options. Once we decided on a vision, Lindsay was able to pick out vendor options that she thought would work well with the venue and overall theme. It was so much less overwhelming being able to choose out of a couple of highly recommended vendors than to have to choose from everyone in the area. Which leads me to another important thing that Lindsay brought to the table: experience. Not only has she worked with all of these people before, but she has seen all the ins and outs of doing a wedding at a "home" venue. Initially, we thought it would be more cost efficient and easier to have an at home wedding. However, it turns out that this makes the whole planning process much more difficult since we had to not only style a wedding but actually create a venue. Lindsay instantly knew all the things we needed to look into - a tent, flooring, a generator, bathrooms, the list goes on and on. She provided us super detail specific timelines of when we should do each task, as well as supplemental tools to assist us along the way. With Lindsay's help, my husband and I made a lot of the big decisions pretty early on in the planning process. I completely trusted Lindsay's opinion on vendors and that really worked out well for us. We had amazing food and cake tastings, had a florist meeting on site that was spot on, and have a Chaplain who gave me chills when going through ceremony options. The best part about the whole deal is that Lindsay can sometimes get her clients special discounts with vendors that she works with regularly, and passes those deals directly to her clients. Some planners will take those discounts as profits, but Lindsay has an awesome system where she charged us one flat fee for everything listed in her contract and helped us save money elsewhere. She was a huge help in constructing our budget and sticking to it. Overall, I'm so glad we worked with Simply Sunshine for both the planning and design part of our wedding. The wedding went off beautifully and I was so glad I could just relax and be fully present on the wedding day. Even though there was threat of rain all the way up to the actual day, we were able to execute a plan B (extra tents for the ceremony and cocktail hour) that most people had no idea was actually not what we originally intended. I was so thankful to have such an amazing team of vendors backing me up through the preparation and actual day, even when we threw curve balls at them. Simply Sunshine Events has made this whole planning process less stressful than I was initially expecting, and made our wedding day more amazing than I ever could have hoped for.

He helped me make mindful edits and suggestions as an unexpected injury almost sidelined the whole event. His team was so understanding at pivoting all throughout the day. There were so many last minute changes that took place. They were such great sports about everything. They were super patient, very professional when approached and helped me with every change up needed. All of my guests had a fabulous time with DJ Winston, spinning tunes and giving out light up sticks on the dance floor (that was a very nice surprise). Winston was so easy to work with. He arranged our playlist perfectly. Ben, our photographer, was really super! He helped us with staging, posing, checked for optimal angles and lighting. Did retakes on the spot if it wasn't perfect. I really appreciated that. All throughout the event, he was running around taking shots, double and triple checking my pre-set list of must have photos. He didn't miss a beat. During our event, I recall seeing him on the floor, behind the tables, by the back wall - I mean he was literally everywhere! I think he was more anxious than I, about the photos I said I wanted as he reminded me a few times that I didn't take the few shots that said I wanted. LOL (No worries Ben, you did it, we got them all)! And kudos to our photo booth attendant, Jeffrey. A man of very few words but he was patient and took care of 70+ guests in 4 hours. He manned the photo booth solo and it ran very smoothly. Between the multiple prints for each person and those re-takes, he was so quick. (Some of us were caught off guard so outtakes and retakes were indeed a thing). The 40+ teens definitely had a great time taking photos at the booth. All of our photos came out great. Choosing the photo layout and card design was actually the hard part - we took a bit of time to choose. Our guests really enjoyed the variety of props provided, you could tell the had fun with it. The best part was the silver backdrop we chose for our booth -- it was classy and stylish. Loved it and it complimented our decor! I totally recommend Dynasty Weddings without reservation. When it came down to the wedding, everything was amazing! Everyone was raving about the photo booth and the animated GIFS! The prints/photos were some of the highest quality I have seen from a wedding! Tommy was great with the light setup and managing the photo booth! Following the wedding, we also received a photo gallery. The pictures were enhanced and everyone looked amazing in their shots. Chris and his team provided ease of access to the photos for us to relive all the memories! DJ Lo provided such a great ambiance and really transformed the dance floor when the time came! He understood what the wedding needed in terms of music and was great with accommodating all of our song requests. The music really brought everyone together and made it a fun night! And lastly, Terry did a great job of navigating me throughout the night as my bilingual MC! He made me feel at ease and I appreciate all the coordination! Everyone loved the opening ice breakers he brought up! I appreciate how smoothly everything turned out with Terry navigating me throughout the night! While I really appreciate what my fiance did for me, this proposal's quality was pretty poor. Not so much in the execution. But mostly the professionalism of the photographer. While we were taking our proposal photos, he refused to listen to me when I said I didn't like one side of my face and strong armed us into taking photos his way. This made me not like the majority of photos. When we got the finished photos back, my skin was completely orange in most of them. While we had 55 photos, a big chunk of them needed severe editing. We only had maybe 3-5 usable photos. The photos we had taken by ourselves on an iPhone with strangers turned out to be better than the "professional" ones he took. To make matters worse, he repeatedly posted unflattering photos of us on his Instagram page even when we asked for them to be taken down. Most photographers will often post photos like this for their gallery, however they do give customer the discretion of choosing which photos look best. We had also asked for Vlad to edit these photos. However, he could not see what was actually wrong with them. After only one meeting we knew Teissia was the perfect person to help plan and execute our destination wedding in Jamaica. It was confirmed that we had chosen the right person when we got to Jamaica 6 months before our wedding and she had set up a perfectly curated list of vendor meetings from thousands of miles away. Throughout the entire process she was organized, thoughtful, attentive and very flexible. She went above and beyond and we definitely could have done it without her.     I have time today…read more Just so you know now before you read the whole review, WE LET HER GO and lost our 50% deposit. I will post some screens just so you can see what the conversation was like. I was very straight forward with her and when I had my now husband to fire her, she told him she didn't know I was upset. When we actually fired her, she left a nonchalant voicemail and text with no formal apology. We booked our wedding venue in January 5, 2019 and I was going back and forth if I wanted to hire her full service. We chose her A La Carte event designing and gave her 50% deposit on February 20, 2019. ORGANIZATION & COMMUNICATION: The first thing I noticed was she was disorganized and I did not feel like she valued our business. I observed our meetings that she didn't write clear notes on my vision. I noticed myself always initiating a follow-up for everything. For example, I needed to know a quote for a design idea and I gave her extra time to get a quote but I had to wait for a long long time. All we did was wait for her! So much so that it was 3 months to the wedding and NOTHING was done. She won't VOLUNTARILY communicate what it was that was prohibiting her from following-up with us. She would always use the excuse that she was getting too many messages from other brides and my message got lost. Yes, something personal did happen in her life and I understood that but as a business woman myself, I would have sent a formal email to ALL CLIENTS letting them know what is happening. We didn't feel like she conducted her business communications well, especially after forking a 50% deposit early on. RESOURCEFULNESS & CREATIVITY She definitely was not the most resourceful when it comes to ideas and didn't negotiate prices. All the quotes were out of this world ridiculous. I initially wanted to fill the place with white balloons, that was gonna either cost 12K, 10K or 9K. Then we wanted streamers on the walls and ceilings which will costs 25K. Me and my husband are artists and we needed someone to think outside the box. She is not that type of planner. She was not after my heart when it comes to my vision and decoration ideas. She didn't pay attention to what I've said REPEATEDLY. I told her I didn't want flowers anywhere and no table runners and no girly, frilly things. She tried to fit us in the COMMON BRIDAL BOX time and time again to do what she's done over and over again and it was absolutely frustrating repeating myself. I was VERY CLEAR from the beginning, we didn't want the basic and common wedding ideas and I urged her to think outside the box. I figured if she was proud to be creative, she can handle it..... clearly, no. WHAT WE ENDED UP DOING My husband, friends and family, especially my mom, did ALL of the decorations. It was stressful but I would rather do that than continue working with her. We didn't care about the deposit because she was stressing me out because of her lack of just basic business skills. CSE came along at just the right time as a recommendation from a friend who thought a planner might be helpful. Was the best decision, ever. The wedding was amazing we couldn't have been more pleased. Catherine and her team are professional, experienced, and organized. Not to mention they arleady have hook-ups in place for the best of the best when it comes to ordering a cake or selecting a venue. Highly recommended- would not even think of planning another event without CSE.

Next time I'll sit back and let you guys do absolutely nothing. DO NOT GET MARRIED ON THIS BOAT. These people are scam artists and do not care about your or your special day, only about money. They will consistantly tell you that they are there to help you and make your day special, and then they will disappear for months at a time. I was constantly calling, texting, emailing them for answers to questions and got nothing in return. They contradict themselves constantly. Captain Rob will tell you one thing and his wife Lezlee will tell you that Rob is wrong and what he promised you really isn't included. ******MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT EVERYTHING ROB SAYS FROM THE START.******* (I mean if you still want to choose this boat after this review). You pay for the majority of the wedding up to a month before the wedding, meanwhile they do nothing to help you plan or get anything done. Despite me planning out every detail of what should happen on the day, I got to a month before the wedding unsure about anything from their end. The day of the wedding we started almost an hour late because they hadn't gotten the boat ready (tablecloths weren't ironed, tables not set up, boat not cleaned, etc.) even though we made sure to give them all of the tablecloths 4 days before the wedding and they assured us every thing would be taken care of. They had our guests waiting on the end of the dock, locked out with no information. Luckily I had a family willing to sacrifice spending their day with me getting ready to go make sure the useless staff on the boat (that we paid a fortune extra for) could figure out what they were doing. So we started an hour late, you'd think we'd end an hour late, right? WRONG. The SECOND it turned 1am the lights shot on and everyone was told the party was over. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HOW ONE OF THE STAFF MEMBERS BUMPED INTO MY CAKE AND THE MAITRE D TRIED TO SAY THE CAKE WAS DELIVERED THAT WAY!!!! So yes, the top of my cake was squashed. I understand accidents happen, but take accountability for your mistakes and go above and beyond to fix them. You don't lie about them. What is included in the base price for this boat is not enough time wise, and very old decoration wise, so you end up paying a ton for extras, including extra time (you are allotted a 4 hour cruise time.. If we hadn't paid for 2 hours extra beforehand, our cruise would have been over before the last table had eaten. That means no dancing, no cake cutting, no dessert, basically nothing. That is because it took them 2 HOURS to serve our dinner.), linens, decorations, etc. There were so many things that went wrong that I didn't have time to document in this review, but I want to end with the fact that I emailed them all of this information after my wedding was over and they didn't even have the decency to apologize for anything or even respond. They just take your money and move on to the next unsuspecting wedding party. It is my hope that this review helps people get the wedding they deserve, which means STAYING AWAY FROM THIS BOAT. Yes, the views are nice, but for the price you end up paying you can get married ANYWHERE. I'm talking rooftop in NYC, Chart House with the same view, another boat even... Point being, just know what you're getting yourself into if you book with these. They are not good people. As I told them, owning a boat does not make you suitable for accommodating weddings.
