Even though his wife was very nice to talk to I would not recommend this place for any type of jewelry repair. I took my ring in because the prongs were wearing down and had to return 6 times as they were not properly done. When finally I picked them up and after I was home noticed that first the rings did not meet together at the top as before and upon looking more closely noticed the rings had been seperated and then welded (poorly) together again only now the bottom of the ring bands together are about (slightly larger) than the size of what just one band should be. Looks as though some gold may be missing. Took them back and they did not own up to it.. needless to say very big disappointment. read more

I needed to buy batteries for three watches and have a link removed from the band of one of them. I found D. Roberts Jewelers on a Google search and went there where I met Veronica, one of the owners. Service was fast and very friendly and the price was reasonable ($10/battery) and no charge for the link removal (normally $10). While I didn't have a need to purchase jewelery at the time of, they seemed to have a nice collection and did have a designer on the premises (Veronica's husband). The quality of service and friendliness is enough to bring me back for the same things and more of an incentive to check them out for any future purchase. They get two stars because they are nice people. WARNING: Do not bring delicate pieces that were not manufactured in the United States here for repair. Based on Yelp reviews, I took a piece of jewelry to be repaired that I purchased outside the United States. I was told they could not do it onsite, but would take it in, and would be done within two weeks. After over three, I called. It had not even been taken in; the lady that normally handled that department was not in at that time. I went to pick it up, and someone else was there. He said he could fix my delicate necklace...and ended up breaking it beyond repair. I waited to post this, because I try to be nice, but I feel those with higher-end crafted jewelry that is unique to not bring it here for repair. Went here to have a diamond I had put into a ring. Veronica was nice but not the other people who I assume were her husband and son. I got called a fag by her son while he was walking by me and when Veronica went to get her husband to talk to me about my ring he refused. If I could give a lower score, I would. The jeweler that sits at the rear of the store is very rude. He would benefit from customer service training or general "how to treat people" training. The first time I was there, he was rude to the nice lady that was helping me. Unfortunately, she was busy when I returned and I had the displeasure of dealing with "him."
