I've dealt with Apel Auto for years, and have always been pleased with the service and the price…read more Most of my friends in the neighborhood go there too, and they think the same as I. My regard for them just went to another level today: I bought 4 new snowtires with wheels at Costco. While booking an appointment to get them mounted onto the car (Honda Civic), I noticed that all 4 wheels had bolt-locks. And I had no key (purchased car used). Good thing we never had a flat. At Costco, all they could say is "you're screwed .... check with the dealer". Hopped over to Volvo (where we bought the car), and they said "you're screwed ... try Honda and with luck, they're factory locks". Drove back up the hill with tires in the back, and stopped at Apel to see if they might have a master key to the locks. They have an angle grinder and a "can do" attitude. Left the car/tires with Apel at 4pm. Came back from Sushi tonight at 6:30pm, and the car is sitting in the Apel parking lot with 4 new snow tires mounted. I think they probably changed the oil while they were at it...

For $7,388 I bought a 2015 Ford Fiesta that had been sitting on the lot long enough for the battery to be completely dead. The car had a few minor issues that were the result of the car not being used for a long time. Those problems were not expensive to resolve. It seems like I now have a good looking car that will likely be reliable for another 10 years. I find the inspection I had done by a mechanic outside of Sukhi Bath Motors to be somewhat interesting. The customer service agent told me the battery had failed a load test and needed to be replaced. I then said to the service agent "Was a quick charge done on the battery before it was load tested?" I was then told the battery had been charged. I then thought to myself "This sounds fishy." However, I also thought "One of the things Howard Hughes is famous for is saying "Only a fool pays for advice and does not take it."" Later that day I bought a new battery that was not needed. I am still using the battery that came with the car and the new battery is on a trickle charger. The inspection report, for the inspection I had done outside Sukhi Bath Motors, stated "REAR SUBFRAME BUSHINGS STARTING TO TEAR." The next day I crawled under the car and found the bushings look as good as new. My opinion is Suki Bath Motors employs honest people who provide a good service. I suspect that the business I had the the inspection done at told me the car needed repairs that were not needed, so I would likely pay them additional money unnecessarily.
