Shannon called me to ask how she could help and I explained what I was waiting on and that I was unhappy with my currently lash girl because the retention was terrible and lashes are not a cheap upkeep. A couple of weeks later, I set up my appointment with Deka. I was immediately greeted and was walked through entering my information and signing some online forms. I had my eyebrows tinted and then moved on to my eyelashes. Both looked amazing. I also received a follow up call/voicemail from Shannon to ask how my appt was. Fast forward two weeks to my fill in appt. the retention of my extensions was the best that I have ever had. And once again, the staff was so friendly and I walked out with beautiful lashes again. Every single visit, within a week the lashes fall off and I look ridiculous. Often times, the lashes don't even make it home after having them put on before they start to fall all over my face like needles on a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Of course, they would love to sell me their mascara solution that is supposed to glue them on and keep them into place... But why aren't they gluing them on to begin with? I've been to other people and I know that it's not me. Other folks that put Eyelashes on seem to be able to adhere them in such a way that they stay on for so long that my eyelashes grow out and I have to have them removed because they're too long. I think that this is finally going to be the month that I canceled my subscription because this is absolutely ridiculous and I'm wasting my money. It doesn't matter which tech I see or whether I go to their "master lash artist "and pay the additional fee. I think it's simply their product products suck and are most likely made in such a way that the Eyelashes purposely fall off so you keep going back to have them put back on. Remember, every visit you feel compelled to leave a $15 tip for the tech, so if you have to go back every week because your eyelashes fell off that's $15 to the tech on every single visit in addition to what you're paying for your subscription. I've had it and I'm done. The pictures attached are two days after having the lashes put on and as you can see, I look like I have mange.

I love the cleanliness of the studio and they are very sanitary cleaned. I was nervous at first but the atmosphere is very soothing. You have to turn into the Arbors at Carrollwood development (look for the flags at the entrance), circle a roundabout, and then her location is in the shops area, next to a laundromat. It is not marked very well, so look for the hanging sign. Her shop is just one room, so I waited outside while she finished with her current client. I love that she was exactly on time, even though she had back-to-back appointments. Ashley was awesome! Friendly, cheerful, and chatty, she made my waxing time fly by, with a minimal amount of pain. I was told I was getting a master artist but realized he was a student after he made a horrible mistake and went too far in on my left brow almost giving me a unibrow. I immediately requested him to remove the ink which he did with a saline solution but, it left me with a red patch on my face that took a couple of weeks to heal. Also the shading was very patchy and the color was too dark. After emailing the salon and expressing my disappointment, I insisted on having a master artist when it was time for my touch up. Going in for my touch up I was told he was a master artist however, the "master artist" did a poor job of touching up and I was still not happy with my brows. I waited four weeks and found another artist to correct the issues I still had. Salon two artist agreed the color was too dark and saw the patchiness. I agreed to let her correct my brows; which after mapping had a better shape. After she was done, I realized she also messed up and drew outside the lines (pun intended). At this point I was extremely unhappy and disappointed, questioning my decision to do this in the first place; not to mention the extra costs involved. Even so, I decided to do give it another shot. I did more research on brow artists and salons in Tampa. I came across Beauty Bliss on Instagram. After looking at their work, seeing the accolades given to Maya in Voyage Tampa, seeing the awards she won and reading Maya's' story, I felt a connection as I have a brain injury which effects my self esteem as well. I immediately requested a consultation. From the moment I walked into the studio, Maya made me feel comfortable and at ease. Her compassionate approach was evident in the way she listened to my concerns. She understood what wanted and saw the problems with the previous microblading. She explained what she could do for me to achieve a better look based on my face shape while having to work with what was already done. After the consultation I felt comfortable and confident she could fix my brows. Luckily, for me she was available to immediately work on them. Maya adjusted the color, fixed the shape and shading and I immediately saw a difference and I am confident they will look 100% better. I am excited to see what the final healed results will look like. Maya is not only incredibly skilled but she also genuinely cares about her clients' well-being. Her compassion, empathetic demeanor, kind words and generosity brought me to tears as I was struggling with my self esteem over my appearance as a result of my brain injury. I believe this, her attention to detail and artistic precision is what sets her apart. I wish I would've found her before wasting my time and money.
