Drexelle and her team were absolutely amazing (special shout out to David)! All our photos came out stunningly beautiful! We really love her photography style, which leans towards striking "high fashion," instead of the more pastel/dreamy style you see from a lot of wedding photographers. Wow, what a sweet, professional group of people! How often do you see that in a business? We spent a fair amount of time looking for a vendor that had the look and feel that we like in their work. We had used Lin & Jirsa for our engagement photos, and they were great. But we wanted to look around to see who else was out there, and found DPark. Alright everybody, grab a beer because this review is going to be a long one, but pay attention people, I going to help you pick a great wedding vendor. I am going to tell you about DPARK, a.k.a BEST photographers in this business (I might be biased but I am never wrong haha). After 2 engagement sessions (one on land and one on sea) and a 14-hour wedding shoot (I know, overkill), I think I am more or less qualify to say they are totally LEGIT. Oh, did I mention we worked with all 4 of their main photographers (Drexelle, David, Russell and Cara)? Yea, they are beyond LEGIT!! During the whole time, Drexelle is very responsive to my emails, and answered all the crazy questions I had in preparation for the wedding. During our first engagement at Disney Concert Hall, we also met her husband, David, and we also love him very much. They are clearly very good at what they do and it showed because they made the whole thing very relaxing. We are awkward people and we want amazing photos (ironic huh?). But their professional guidance and expertise made it more than possible. They also are so much fun to talk to and they make us laugh nonstop. The pictures came out amazing, my fiancé kept looking at our photos and complimenting how they managed to capture his beautiful face. I know it's a good sign when photographers paid as much attention to the groom as much as bride, haha. And of course, the camera whore in me didn't have enough pictures, we want another engagement shoot at the beach! And of course, they were so sweet to accommodate us the week before our wedding. The second e-shoot was at Victoria Beach and it was so much fun was well. Well, it was fun for us but I can tell they were risking their lives to take some of the pictures. With DPARK, we feel like we have a chance with Hollywood (for real...we are going to sign up to America's top models). Wedding day...this time they brought out almost the whole DPARK family. We had the pleasure of working with David, Cara, and Russell. From the moment they came, we knew we were in good hands. David made me feel so relaxed and composed. He knew exactly what to do and all the perfect shots to take. He's so good taking photos I am sure he can take them in his sleep. Cara....oh man, how we adore her! She is so much fun to be around. She has this ability to make people laugh and feel beautiful. And of course, all her pictures are super hot. I love her all shots with me and my bridesmaids. She always helped us fix our hair and our poses to make sure everyone looks good. This is very important as I noticed not every photographer pays attention to the little details or the bridesmaids. And Russell...he's such a sweetheart and all the groomsmen adore him so much. They said he is so funny and so easy to talk to. He only takes pictures when the pose is perfect. I like how he tells us exactly what to do and at the same time he makes us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. I love how creative all 3 of them are and they took every single photo we asked for and even more. As a team, they have ability to bring out the best in us and at the same time encouraged us to stay true to who we are (goofy, psycho, and funny). Looking at our photos now, I can tell you need them in your life! I am beyond grateful somehow they manage to find the beauty in our awkwardness. So in short: PROS: -BEST in the business! Capture amazing, artistic, unique, captivating photos and very fun to work with! -Very organized and professional. Here are some honest thoughts after an amazing time with this group, as they were able to capture so many great moments during my wedding: Photography: When it comes to photos I am very particular and yet Drexelle and David did such an amazing job during our engagement session that I knew we were in great hands for our wedding. We loved every picture! Drexelle was great working with kids as our ring bearer kept looking the other way, David was constantly looking for the best angle/lighting and it all pulled through in our pics! They not only captured those rare moments/reactions, but we also have a good number of those "glamor" shots as well where I can't believe that that person is me! What I found amazing is that their raw/unedited shots were so well done, I didn't even realize it was unedited! Videography: We decided to go with DPark's videography team, Loyd and his team. Wedding day, the videographers worked well with the photographers, no one getting in the other's way (important! as u don't want other photographers in ur pics!). We opted for the same day edit video and after they played it during the reception, SO MANY PEOPLE were coming up to me saying how great it was! It honestly made me laugh and even get teary eyed. Their team was able to not only capture the day, but was able to showcase our individual personalities through it as well. Customer Service: During my wedding planning I was living out of state while my fiancé (now husband) was in town, and we were all able to set up communication via google hangouts/emails. Our first meeting with Drexelle I knew we clicked right away, this group is easy going, hard working, and really does their best to accommodate your wishes! Communication has been really easy in spite of the distance as most of our conversations were through email/google hang outs, and when we finally met in person for our engagement shoot, David was great to work with and helped make my camera shy hubby relax! At the wedding, the team took the time to learn the names of all 8 of my bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, the parents, and even mine and my husbands siblings! It made photos run smoothly as David would address my party by their names, so we all knew who they wanted to adjust their position, etc. We had a BIG bridal party and guest list (~300 guests) so we had many pics to take. They kept us on track/organized and were able to get all the pics we wanted. David and Drexelle's easy going nature made the flow of the day go so smoothly, and they were very professional at orchestrating such a large group! I am so in love with our family pictures from DPARK! Drexelle took our pictures at Mariners church in Irvine. That church has such a pretty campus, and Drexelle took our pictures in several different areas, having a perfect eye for where to take the best shots. Our photos were beautiful and had a very authentic feel to them; they captured the warmth and spirit of our family. The retouched photos are absolutely gorgeous, they are subtle and very natural-looking. At the same time, they cover-up small blemishes and little imperfections, while highlighting the best facial features. This photo shoot was a gift to our family, and truly one of the best presents I have ever been given. I first discovered D Park Photography from a previous Disney Bride and knew they were the ones before looking at anybody else. D Park was a dream to work with. With pushing my wedding back I was probably working with them for 2-3 years and every step of the way they were so helpful and caring. From our initial phone call with Drexelle, my experience with D Park photography has been flawless. David and Drexelle are incredible photographers. But not only that, they are wonderful, compassionate people. Preparing for a wedding is exciting and stressful, but D Park was there to help throughout the entire process. They are organized, patient, and attentive. One of the many things we loved was D Park's presentation. They recognize the importance of details in everything from the photos themselves to the way they prepare the albums. As the wedding approached, D Park would drop me a note here and there just to say hi and ask if I needed help with everything. They are such wonderful people, it made me look forward to seeing them on the wedding day. David and Drexelle personally delivered our wedding album and it happened to be on our 2-month anniversary!
