I was referred to DPark by a bride that had booked them for her upcoming wedding. After looking at their site, I was really impressed. They did a phenomenal job on my friend's engagement session, so i was excited to see how her wedding photos would turn out as well. From the moment I reached out, Drexelle was phenomenal. As a small business owner myself, she taught me a lot of things. The importance of client relationship for one and her authenticity. We chatted on the phone for our initial consultation well over a half hour until she sadly broke the news that they would not be available for our wedding , due to her maternity leave. Though I was so thrilled for them, (selfishly), I was a bit crushed for me. I liked their stylized touch so much. So, I found a way to use them anyway, to enjoy them capturing part of our traditional customs- our Tea Ceremony. They were so sweet, professional and just down to earth. Before they came to shoot our Tea Ceremony, my friend's wedding finally happened and there I got to meet them in person. They both worked their butts off. Never seeing them sit down or 'off' their game. Ah-may-zing! My husband and I heard of Dpark photography through our wedding coordinator and decided to meet with them for a consultation. When I first called Drexelle she sounded enthusiastic about the type of photography style I wanted and also seemed genuinely interested in knowing about my relationship with my fiance. I loved how she made it personal that at the end of the phone call it seemed like I was talking to a dear old friend than a business associate. We arranged a meeting to discuss their packages and ended up arriving a little late and sweet drexelle was waiting for us with coffee and treats. WHO DOES THAT?? DPARK DOES! Everything after that was really smooth sailing.. My husband and I get really awkward in front of a camera and they relaxed us by acting goofy themselves and really getting into it.. I was looking at our videography and there is this one moment where we are all taking group photos. Taking pictures with family and friends could be tedious and super boring but from nowhere, I heard drexelle in the background "woo-hoo-ing" and excitedly clapping which then got my wedding party to do the same and the process turned from being an ordinary shoot to "woo hoo we're wasted, lets take some fun pictures!!!" moment. Their patience for my wedding party was greatly appreciated. We had rose petals that Drexelle and David suggested we throw into the air to create this flower wonderland. Because most everyone in the wedding party was drunk, getting them to coordinate and get this simple task together was frustrating and I thought that it would be a wasted effort. But when I saw the pictures and how beautiful they turned out, I was surprised. I loved that they were able to capture those fraction-of-a-second moments where in the midst of chaos, there is this millisecond of perfection frozen in time, frieken nailed it. Their customer service is off the chain, but their pictures are what really sold me. They're artistic and really capture the beauty of the surroundings.. there was a moment where my husband and I are laughing our asses off watching something during the reception which is rare because my husband rarely laughs hard but i'm looking at the pictures wondering, how the hell and when were they able to capture all this?? And the quality kicked ass because they made my arms and face skinny minny :) We just received our album in the mail yesterday, along with some surprises Drexelle and David had put together for us and I can't thank them enough for capturing our special day so perfectly and beautifully. Amazinggg work, yet again! This year, I used D. Park three different times and as always, I am SO glad that I did. The most recent photo session we had with the D. Park team was a newborn session. We are SO in love with the photos which captured all my favorite things - sparkles, twinkle lights and the "in between" moments of joy, laughter and smiles. We LOVED working with our photographer, Jim, who was extremely patient with my 26 month old toddler. Hands down our best wedding vendor. The entire dpark team made our wedding year so memorable. From the initial phone call to the last photo they clicked with us, they warmed our hearts. We had a big indian wedding and they captured all different photos from our engagement shoot at Victoria Beach to my mendhi, our haldis, pujas, sangeet, wedding morning, and reception. What can I say except Drexelle and David are amazing! I fell in love with their photos when I stumbled upon them Facebook stalking an old friend of mine who just got married (don't judge me, I know you all do the same thing). The crisp quality of their photos were so striking and unlike what I had seen on my endless search of wedding photographers. At the time I thought, well for sure the these photos were their standouts and not all of their photos could possibly be this good. Boy was I wrong. When I saw all the photos from their website (and they have lots!) I was so amazed with how well they were able to capture not only those artistic shots everyone loves but also those amazing candid ones as well. Also, I thought, so do they only photograph beautiful people- everyone looked so dang good - and let's just say the answer to that is no, they are just amazing editors :P. So after falling in love with their work, I knew I really wanted to work with them. Just one problem, my budget was not nearly what they deserved! However, after speaking with Drexelle over the phone and via email (they are amazing with their communication btw), I was so pleasantly surprised that she was able to work with me. She has an amazing heart and was so fun to talk to btw! Also, the whole team is super organized- shout out to michelle who works with them- you are awesome too! Thanks for being so quick and helpful with your email responses. So as you can tell, I had no trouble when it came to planning- they are one of the easiest vendors to work with. And when the big day of came along, it only got better- they had one more amazing surprise for me- despite that I only paid for 1 lead photographer (David) and 1 associate photographer, they emailed me a couple weeks before and told me, "guess what, we decided to send down both Drexelle and David (2 lead photographers) and the associate photographer also for no extra cost! What!?! freaking felt like I won the lottery! (Disclaimer: if you hire D Park - which you should- don't just expect they will do this for you too- I mean come on, they gotta eat and I'm sure they just loved me that much :P). So anyway on the day of, they clearly did not disappoint, they kept on schedule and took some awesome photos and they were like photographer ninjas during the ceremony and party- I never noticed them but they were always there capturing every moment! (I have been to several weddings where the photographer is so intrusive and you feel like they ruin every moment- Drexelle and David were the opposite and yet they didn't miss a beat!). Oh and did I mention that during my wedding I lost my little purse which had credit cards, id and phone in there and David went on a mission to find it for me. He was integral in it being located and I can't thank him enough. (word of advice-don't carry a little purse with you on your wedding day- you will not want it in pics and you will very likely leave it somewhere and forget about it). We had some mishaps with the venue before our guests began boarding, but David and Drexelle made sure I was as relaxed as a bride could be. They were helpful with the preparations and made sure we had a wedding schedule planned out. Honestly, my husband and I wouldn't have been as prepared if it weren't for David and Drexelle because the wedding schedule was extremely helpful. We had a couple quick previews of some photos taken by them that simply amazed us (and it was just straight from the display screen of their camera)! We recently received a link to view our wedding images, and they turned out AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! They captured such great images, some of which made me tear up! I could even relive the memories in my head just by viewing the images! We have such great chemistry with David and Drexelle. After our wedding, our friends and family asked if we were long time friends with our photographers! Those thoughtful comments we received from our guests clearly explain how fun, personable, and professional David and Drexelle are. We had a fabulous time working with David and Drexelle. We were fortunate to have the D Park family photograph our wedding! This time around we got to work with Russel and Cara and they were able to live up to the standards of our engagement photos! We loved their personalities as did our family and friends and of course the photos turned out amazing! When my MUAH artist (and family friend) told us how she's never been sent a schedule for the photos my (now) husband and I were surprised. We had thought that this was standard procedure since Drexelle had a schedule set up for us when we did our engagement photos. She was just so impressed with the level of professionalism from the D Park family. When my mom saw the photos she loved the candids that they got of our family reacting to our vows and from the money dance. D. Park is amazing! Where do we begin? We were so lucky that our friends recommended them to us. We had talked to 12 different photographers (yes, 12!) and none of them felt "right" until we talked to D. Park. We were looking for people who were genuine and personable, who would make us feel comfortable during a hectic wedding weekend, and tell our love story through their beautiful photography. And of course, people who are also really good at what they do ;) We didn't find all these qualities until we met D. Park, and we're so glad that we did! They were amazing every step of the way. Leading up to the wedding, they helped us solidify our wedding agenda and gave us tips on how to make things more efficient. They responded to all of our questions very quickly and thoroughly. During the wedding, they kept everything running smoothly, from the coordination of our first looks to making all the babies smile for photographs. The energy and positivity they brought to our wedding was infectious. After the wedding, they sent us a sneak peek the very next day! We were so excited to have professional photos to share immediately with our family and friends. And then within exactly 4 weeks, all of our photographs had been shared with us. We had the most amazing experience with D Park Photography! From the beginning pre-wedding stage to the day of, D Park Photography was fantastic. Drexelle was super helpful, patient, and quick in response with all the questions we had. We just knew right away that D Park was the one! On our day of, Our photographers were Rebecca and Enoch and they were just awesome to work with. Being with us for 13 hours, they were professional, fun, talented and patient! Since we are not very good with posing in front of the camera, Rebecca was very patient and helpful with great suggestions to make every shoot memorable. We received our pictures yesterday and they turned out AMAZING!! I seriously can't stop looking at them!
