He doesn't know how to talk, he yells, he's rude and always Insulting and cursing people out. Now speaking of his work is overpriced and mediocre. He would charge you the same for fixing a button or if you need to taper and hem your pants and his excuse is "the rent here is expensive and everything cost money" and still would do whatever he wants to your clothes even if you didn't asked for. He's just a joke, he's miserable and doesn't care about his job and is not as if he know how to do it well either. If you don't want your clothes to be messed up and also don't feel like being insulted, then you better skip this place. There's plenty of other tailors that work faster, charge what's supposed to be and care for their customers.

This post makes me really sad to even do but what's right is right:…read more I dropped off a pair of suede Birkenstocks to be cleaned on March 26th on my way to work. The owner's wife charged me $25; that's fine, they charged me that on my last pair. While on the train, the husband calls me to tell me that it's $40 to clean them ... we went back and forth and I agreed because I do all my dry cleaning there; well I used to. I went to pick them on Holy Thursday before work and noticed the material had been damaged. The husband was there and after some negotiating he said to bring the receipt; clearly I had mentioned that the shoes cost me $165. That very day after work I went to purchase another pair and brought him the receipt. Now in good faith, I went in Good Friday morning to see them. I brought him the new pair so he can see the material as well as the black pair that I owe and I was wearing a purple pair. The husband wasn't there, the wife started yelling that we had agreed on 165$ and the receipt was for $180 ... yes there is tax on them but I would take the $165. She then went on to say the deal was with her husband so to come back. This past Tuesday I passed by again after work with a copy of the receipt of the new pair, dropped it off with the wife and she said her husband would call me when he finished up at the other location; as they have several. Today is Friday .... No phone call nothing. I went back just now to ask where my money was, the wife said " take your shoes, there's nothing wrong with them" I couldn't believe it ... after all this time, now they didn't want to give me anything. I told her I was over it all and I would be going next week to file a claim at small claims court. See you in court Jimmy's Cleaners!

Exceptional family owned business in Sunnyside, Queens. Been coming here for over two years now…read more The owner is quite the tailor. We've had jeans, suit pants, dresses done by him and have had no issues. The pricing is very reasonable. He offers his expert advise based on the fabric. For example, I wanted to get the width of my jeans smaller and I brought in a sample the way I wanted it. But based on the difference in fabric he recommended to have a little wiggle room. Never had laundry done, only tailoring and dry cleaning. It is a cash only establishment, but I highly recommend him.

I needed to tailor my dress and came based on reviews. I had an estimated price in mind for how much it would cost. I'm glad it didn't exceed my budget as when I asked the shop which sold me the dress they quoted me so much that I said no thanks. I'm hoping that the alterations will meet my expectations. I will review it again with my thoughts. Btw, there's a place to change in the back and a couch to sit on if you need to. This place looks larger than what it looks like from the outside.

She was appalled by what these cleaners are charging for a simple white gown! and It was sitting in her closet and she never got around to spend the money to have it cleaned and preserved! Her local cleaners wanted $150-$200 to clean. My coworker explained, there are no extra fancy schmancy detailing. Just a plain white satin gown! Just needed cleaned and the stains lifted from the edges on the bottom of the dress where she clearly dragged in dirt. The owner kindly accepted to clean, He even reduced the price. They will also custom order a box for extra fee but def worth it if it's a keepsake! She now drives 30 mins to my spot to have all of her skirts and pants hemmed by the tailor at my spot. Im selfishly hesitant to give 5 stars bc I like them always Being available to clean my stuff! Lol!

I've been going here for about two years. The only issue I've ever had was that they once messed up a blue shirt..it got bleach on it or something but it got very faded on the bottom. They ended up giving me a credit for the full retail cost of the shirt, which was a really nice gesture. As a guy, I tend to dry clean basic stuff so it's hard to compare costs across the board. I have a receipt in hand for 2 shirts on hangers and a pair of pants for $8.50..so not bad at all. I don't know the main guy's name (young, shaved head) but he's always really friendly. They also do same day cleaning which is good in a pinch. Parking is really good here too - it's on the street but off the beaten path so there's always a spot right out front. I'm a fan!

The price I was quoted initially seemed absolutely insane. However, I really appreciate that the seamstress took the time to explain that the hemming was about three layers of clothing and requires such intense work as well as the shoulders. What impressed me so much was the quality of the tailoring and that their turn around time was maybe 3 days? I will definitely come back with some of my other pieces to get fit. So I decided to come by ET laundry since it said it's open 24 hours...although when I got there at 10pm...I was confused as the doors were locked but the workers were there. They pointed at the sign that said last wash was at 10pm...so I thought I was screwed!!! But one of the worker came from the back/other door and told me I can come in. I told them I would like to drop off my clothings (and I prayed it wouldn't be expensive). I was told to put my bag on the scale, to weight it. I was also asked if it was my first time with them (which it was) and told me to write my name. SO! with the weighting and all, it came out to 16 dollars! I was told it'll be ready the next day and I asked specifically what time, and was informed after 5pm would be best. Which is totally fine with me as I ended up picking up my stuff on the Monday ... hahaha. When I picked it up, they have folded all my laundry in my laundry bag and it was so compacted compared to when I first brought it in (where I just threw in my dirty clothes). I mentioned it was $16 but I saw somewhere that you should tip and I gladly did as it was only $16 for my load (it's not a huge one maybe two weeks worth, so it wasn't heavy, nor did I have jeans in the bag or anything). I am so happy with the service, that honestly...I'm not in a rush to buy detergent and do my own laundry...though I will...eventually...when I am all settled in my new place. Will come again!
