I don't mean the manicurists, I mean the ppl running the place!! Countless times I have had appts asked to be changed, to accomodate an early departure, or a day off.. Yet I was given an appt. I've been to top nail salons--from world-class resorts to high-end spots all over Miami Beach--and this is by far the most consistently respectful, timely, and professional salon I've experienced. Every technician I've seen has been excellent, and they're all incredibly flexible, always working to give each customer exactly what they want. Yadi, Connie, Kim, and Madeline are all fantastic. Alex runs the salon like it's her own, making everyone feel welcome and keeping things running smoothly. Annie is also wonderful and does a great job making sure appointments stay on schedule. They're like true ambassadors for the business. The owner is lucky to have such an honorable, high-performing team that brings credibility and care to everything they do. This place used to be good but once the owner got changed it literally when downhill. The service is horrible. I called and requested regular polish french design. On the phone they said yes come no problem but once I got there the story changed. The woman who did my pedi French was fine and then she switched me to another woman who is doing manicure and she says oh I don't know how to do French with regular polish. Not only that she even had no idea how to do regular manicure as well. I've been going to that place for years but that was the last chance. No more! Made an appointment for a Gel Manicure for 9/14 10am. Called in the morning to re-schedule for 12pm. So far all was well. Arrived and the receptionist looked confused. She was conversing with the first tech to have her take me in. Was seated and then to move to a guy tech. Not prepared or maybe over booked..why take an appointment? The guy layered on 3 coats making my nails looked bumpy. The sides peeling off within hours. Its a nice high end expensive place. I will not be retuning though. read more

I just had the best manicure of my literal life. Tracy is the best nail tech i have ever seen in my life and i've been to many many nail salons. She's so meticulous and she works with such attention to detail. i'm literally in love with my nails.... She's so kind and gentle with my nails. Shoutout to Tracy i love her! I thought this was going to be a decent nail salon. the lady cut my toe nail too short,and filed my nail until she reached my skin and until I felt a burning sensation as she ripped my skin! I told her she was hurting me and did not even apologize! Not sure if she was new or in a hurry but I never experienced this before. Mediocre job. They are friendly but....I paid for a 2 week mani and it lasted 4 days !! Besides job was done quite unprofessional and messy at the lounge. Walk ins welcome. I have been a customer since Mai opened on Harding. Every time I come as a walk in (as I never know when I'll find a free moment to myself) I am promptly seen and always great service. I have gone to multiple nail technicians at Mai and they have all been great. The picture is of dipping powder done by Ty. I also love their dazzle dry line which is regular polish but dries fast and lasts about two weeks. The dipping lasts about 3+ weeks and by then my nails grow out so need to do again. They also have wonderful spa pedicures. read more

Visiting from Boston, made an appointment for 12 pm 2 hrs ahead. Once I arrive the girl that's going my nails didn't even say hi or talk to me she just started doing my nails. Then when she was doing my nail , she was using her nail to clean my nail which is unsanitary. So I asked her to please use the brush to clean the extra polish , not her fingernails. Next thing you know now she's throwing my hands around with an attitude & rushing. I wonder what's the point of working at a nail salon if you act like you hate your job . Then I walk to the front and she says you ready to pay !. Like ummm no I want my feet done too , mind you I made an appointment. As I arrived I received a signature pedicure and basic manicure by Anne which was phenomenal!! I then had the best facial I've received in MY LIFE by Alba! This woman knows her stuff, started off with breathing techniques and set the intention for my treatment! I enjoyed every minute of it and she treated me like a queen!
